Tres belle hotel. L emplacement ideal. Tres proche du centre ville et autres. Personnel tres profesionnel, tres souriant.
I liked only the staff of the pool area, and during the breakfast, the waiters, the lady and who make the msemen that's the only think that I like it during my staying.
Firstly, when I just checked after midnight , I informed the receptionist that my cousin would join me the day after. He told me that he just needed her ID card. During the afternoon, another receptionist informed me that I hadn't booked for 2 pax , it's mentioned only 1pax and he didn't let my cousin in. Telling me to pay the supplement. 30 euro and I was ready to pay it and he sent me to another lady for payment telling me 60 euro that's makes me more angry. I asked the lady and told me that 30 euro is pet night . I came back to the receptionist. I told him why he didn't explain to me with a cold attitude that already informed me . And I reply him I'm in my country you should talk to me in Dirhams second things I didn't sleep well first day , I fel like I'm in the aeroport pple carrying their luggage at 3 am, in the booking.com it's mentioned that u serve alcohol that it's no more in ur hotel and small gesture to provide as a amenities or discount during the payment of the supplement. I'm questioned the receptionist why 4*hotel not providing at least 2 bottles of water per day , no toothpaste. Coffee and tea in the room , it's a shame for and hotel 4*, breakfast was also worst as I mentioned before only msmen and begurir are Wow. That I really didn't appreciate it. You have 4 years to work on it. If you want to welcome tourists of World Cup 2030, otherwise to be a mess.

Unsanitary hotel
Hotel was extremely dated and room was horrendous. I was really worried we were going to catch something from the stains in the bathroom. Had to call the travel agent who put pressure on the hotel to move us. We had already paid extra to get a superior room, there was nothing superior about this! Breakfast was nice enough as they make fresh omelettes and flatbreads. Good location but wouldn’t stay here again. Even the locals said the hotel was very bad!

Pleasantly surprised! Great price for budget city centre hotel with pool!
Positives - We were pleasantly surprised with hotel and very reasonable for the price we paid. Great location - close to main street good for shopping, restaurants and 20min walk to Medina. Mini shop round the corner very cheap for snacks and drinks. Room was large, with air con and we had a queen bed. We didnt pay for the upgrade so was an older room yet to be renovated but suited us fine. Mini fridge and safe in room. Large sofa also. Bathroom basic, no qualms. Pool is a great size. Breakfast was lovely variety of omelette, hot food, pastries and cold selection. Lunch bar menu also very tasty - pizza and chicken burger were lovely! Whilst "no alcohol", beer is served at bar in bottles. Negatives -- It is run down, look closely and there is plenty of maintenence issues around the pool and in the rooms (which they are sorting). Parasols around the pool need replacing (and I would suggest they dont get dragged around daily!) So many sun loungers are left for the day with towels on them - be better to hand out a card at check in to use to claim a towel and if lose card pay a fine - more people wouldn't leave their towels that way and make it easier to move about the pool and find a space. Water bottles should be allowed at the pool also - i get why no fizzy as they want money at the bar but water is a simple human right.

Happy with hotel but the Spa is the jewel in the crown ❤️
We were a bit worried after reading some of the reviews but have been pleasantly surprised. The rooms were large, clean and spacious. Big bathroom. Super comfy beds and air conditioning. Not much more you can ask for when you are out most of the time anyway. The breakfast was great, we thought. Everything from fresh pastries (big selection) to hot food, to European meats and cheeses, cereals, freshly squeezed juices, yoghurts, fresh fruit, coffee machine, freshly made Moroccan breads, made in front of you and an omlette station. Can’t fault it, at all! ❤️ The staff at the front desk were so lovely and friendly and Azziz, the pool guy was outstanding! Yes the bar guys weren’t the happiest souls but nothing I couldn’t cope with! 🤷🏼♀️ The highlight to our holiday was using the Spa. It is downstairs just beside the pool and the staff were incredible. We had the Hammam treatment and massage and it was THE best we have ever had. The girls were super friendly, thorough and really knew what they were doing. It was so good that even though we were only there for 5 nights, we went back and had the same treatments a second time, the day we were leaving. A definite must when staying at the hotel. Overall, we thought it was great, the drinks were cold, the food we ordered was lovely and 99% of the staff were friendly and welcoming, so we will definitely be back. Thank you Diwane Hotel & Spa 🥰

Enjoyable stay.
Just spent 4 days at this hotel and whilst things weren't perfect we had an enjoyable stay and definitely for what we paid had great value for money. Firstly, our room and public areas in the hotel were really clean. The pool was a godsend to escape the fiery 43 degree heat. It's not a massive area, but then it's not a huge hotel. The pool attendant was very friendly, efficient and helped everyone get a sun lounger and provided mattresses and towels. Almost all of the staff throughout the hotel were great, although there was one guy who worked behind the bar who seemed generally grumpy towards customers. Maybe it was the heat getting to him? Breakfast was ok. Fresh eggs/omelettes made, hot foods, salad stuffs, breads, pastries etc. The coffee & juices were good. There was sometimes a wait for glasses and plates to be replaced. Our room was advertised as deluxe. It was basic, but fine for our needs. TV had 3 or 4 English language channels. Bed was large and comfortable. The air con worked fine and was a relief to come back to after being in the hot weather and that applies to both day and night time The mini fridge was great to keep cold drinks in which was needed as sitting on the balcony it was as hot as the surface of the sun even at 4am! The location was great with shops, restaurants and bars really close by. Cafe Atlas 2 minutes walk away was great for an ice cold beer and fir food the little Lebanese restaurant opposite the hotel was gorgeous and cheap as chips! Overall a good stay.

Could do better
Stayed for 3 days and it was great not to have to.pay for a beach towel and the pool attendant was super helpful. The same could not be said of the bar staff who were very unfriendly and also slow. Why does it take 20 minutes to deliver ice cream ? The breakfast was a constant search to find basics like bowls and glasses. The pool itself is a perfect temperature to escape the 40 degrees heat.

An honest review. The good and bad
If you are looking for a good value budget hotel, then the Diwane hits the mark. If you’re looking for 5 star luxury then you may need to wait until they have fully refurbished the place. On arrival we were advised if we didn’t like the room they could upgrade us (a hint as to what to expect). The room however was clean and spacious. As we were only staying 3 nights it was fine, although desperately in need of a refresh. Breakfast was ok with all the offerings you would expect The omelette station was a good option although expect a wait during busy periods. The real star of the show is Assif. The pool attendant who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I always tip but regardless,he was worth every penny and more. Reception staff were helpful and courteous and overall we were happy with our stay. Especially for what we paid. The only real negative which has left a sour taste was the bar staff. Had previously read a couple of reviews that mentioned them negatively. However did not have any preconceived ideas. Final day and feel they deliberately short changed me on the bill. Even after tipping. Had to question twice before getting resolved, and even then still short.

Downfall of a good hotel
BEWARE THIS HOTEL NO LONGER SERVES ALCOHOL I have been to this hotel 4 times over the past four years. BUT NEVER AGAIN!!’ It’s always been a great hotel with half decent rooms and great staff. Not any more. First the good stuff. The pool guy ( I forget his name ) has always been fantastic) looking after everyone. The upgraded room we had was ok but the taps in the bathroom look like they’ve never been cleaned. Now the bad stuff, four months ago apparently the hotel stopped serving alcohol. So if you are like myself and my wife, who like to lay by the pool with a glass of wine and a cool beer in the heat. All you will now get is warm coke and water. The staff in the pool bar used to be very friendly and worked hard. The new ones are rude and very unfriendly. Yes they bring you food out when you order but they don’t clear it in fact the only time they come near the pool is to bring out the food. We only ordered twice tbh the pizza on the first occasion was edible just, but the burger we ordered the next day was pink inside so we never eat there again. After eating both meals after an hour of waiting for them to be cleared I had to get up and take the leftovers to the counter as they were getting covered in flies next to our bed. The pool staff moaned that I was paying by card ( which I’d always done before and had a tab open). Now they wanted cash, so I reluctantly withdrew money from the ATM to pay. The bill was 205 dirham (approximately £18. But the machine only gave out 200 and 100 bills. Therefore when I paid the 205 bill they moaned at me again as I only had large bills. So I told them I would get the 5 dirham (approximately 40 pence ) the next day. The next morning I went there especially to pay back the 5 dirham. I gave them a 10 dirham coin and he threw it in the till and sat there. I waited for the change but he just ignored me. It’s only 5 dirham but it is the principle and shows how rude and disrespectful they are. The newly refurbished room that we paid €90 for three nights was ok but we had problems with the lights and the key card failed twice so I had to go from the 5 th floor back down to reception in 36 degree heat twice in three days. Couple all of this with the no alcohol policy.Even at night with their entertainment. We unfortunately will never set foot in this hotel again. It used to be a solid 4 star now I wouldn’t give it 2 stars.

Beautiful Hotel with amazing staff!
Before travelling, I had seen several bad reviews of this hotel and was therefore, anxious about what to expect. My fears were completely unfounded, we felt very welcome and they really looked after us. I travelled with my 17 year old daughter and although we arrived in the morning, too early to check in, they made every effort to get the room ready within an hour and gave us a choice of room. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and spacious. The staff are so helpful, particularly the man who puts the towels on the sunbeds. He was amazing, he really couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast is good, varied options. The evening meals we had at the hotel were delicious, very reasonable in price too. Again the staff service was exceptional. The location is good and the atmosphere is very chilled. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

What an amazing hotel and team
Where do I start.. from the moment I walked into the hotel, it was the most magical experience. From checking in to being taken to my room was prompt, friendly and they could not do enough for me. I arrived quite late. Upgrade your room, the renovated rooms are beautiful and well worth it. My room was spotlessly cleaned each day. People have expressed concern about road noise, you are the centre of Marrakesh!!. It was not loud and did not bother me at all. The city is alive, embrace that. Breakfast was great and the hotel team again was amazing, especially Haitian, Ahmed and I have forgotten the ladies name (sorry). They work tirelessly to make your stay an incredible experience. Nothing is too much trouble. Then there is Aziz, pool guy. What a guy, so focused on the guests, attending to your needs. Works long hours, always with a smile. A true professional, who clearly loved his work. All the guests loved him. Hotel Manager Karim in my eyes has nailed the level of service and experience for guests. The team, hotel and location and is a true Marrakech experience, and so close to explore places of interest. Lastly, please tip. They do not expect it, but they work so hard and in my view go above and beyond for you. That deserves a little reward, don’t you think. I will so be back. Thank you Mandy x

Poor Experience
Me and my wife stayed at this resort for her birthday. April 4th - 10th. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. 4 star of lies more like. The food is not really that great at all. After a while, we ended up eating out in the evening quite often yet our package included dinner at the hotel. Speaking of dinner, every time we wanted a drink with our dinner, we were told we would have to pay for drinks at the bar. I have never heard of this in my life that you stay at a 4 star hotel that includes dinner in your package, you have to pay for drinks with your dinner. These people are thieves!!! The hotel room bedsheets were dirty. Bathroom was a disgrace. The shower head was corroded with limescale. So only a trickle of water came through the showerhead When you complain to reception, they act like whats the big deal and I was told why did I not report this straight away. The guy on reception was an idiot to tell me that. Clearly a useless fool working in customer service. He shouldnt be working there at all!! Another time, I ordered a banana smoothie to go with my breakfast. In the end I finished my breakfast. I was still waiting a good while. I decided to go to the bar which is where they make the drinks. The guy at the bar tells me they ran out of bananas. His whole manner in how he explained that to me was so rude. Absolutely unprofressional. You dont keep the customer waiting and do not inform them with what is going on. I didnt have a problem with the fact that they ran out, thats fine, but dont walk in and out of the breakfast area and chat and laugh with colleagues and not let the customer know they have run out of stock and to ask if I would like something else. This hotel is a disgrace to the hospitality sector and quite frankly needs to be inspected and reviewed. It is not a place fit for purpose. Do not book at this hotel resort. Avoid it.

Great stay , good value for money
My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here for 4 nights , the breakfast and evening meal was great value or the money we paid , best to sit outside though , the inside dinning area needs updating a little . Strongly advise the freshly made to order omelette. On arrival our first room was below standard but after a phone call to Easyjet and talks with reception we were upgrading to a beautiful room with a pool view which was 4 stars worthy. The pool and area is the jewel in the crown to this hotel , the staff at the bar and Asif the pool attendant cant do enough for you , nothing is too much and they make you feel very welcome. Shame there is no alcohol served in the hotel but there is a bar across the road .

Fantastically located hotel
Stayed for 3 nights arriving on Eid. Check in was busy, but they got through the queue as quickly as possible. The reception area is beautiful. Once we paid the tourist tax, the security took our bags and showed us to our room. Our room was large, with 2 beds, tv (which we never turned on) wardrobe and dresser. Plus quite honestly the best mini fridge I’ve had in a room ever. Large bathroom, with toiletries. We had a balcony overlooking the patio area. Room was tired, but clean. We asked for extra pillows and they were delivered quickly. Beds were firm. In reception and in the lifts they have a qr code which opens a what’s app chat, and you can request anything you need for your room. We had breakfast included, which was a bit chaotic, often no plates or cutlery, and the coffee machine was often being fixed, but I never went hungry, the omelettes were good, and the pastries. Was nice to see the tortoise as well! Outside, the pool guy was always busy and would sort you mattresses and towels. One day he could see I was chilly and brought me a roasting hot one from the dryer! We had lunch on our last day, sitting in the patio, which was nice, we had chicken burger and pizza, both were tasty. Right next door was a conscience store where you could get water, juice etc, and a short walk away was a shopping centre with a supermarket, and Starbucks. Great hotel with a good location, would stay again

Nice hotel in great part of city
Just back from a 3 night stay here with my wife and enjoyed ourselves at the Diwane. The hotel is lovely but rooms a bit dated but clean and thats the main thing but the beds for me were a bit hard and after 3 nights ive came home with a sore neck. Breakfast wasnt to my choice but the hotel is in a busy area so theres plenty places outside to pick from. The staff were friendly and always happy to help, especially round the poolside and the pool was nice and deep for a good swim. The hotel bar only sells alcohol free drinks but thats not a problem if you do want a proper alcoholic refreshment as there are 3 or 4 bars within a 5 minute walk from the hotel ( highly recommend O Frenchys bar and restaurant) . Id would stay here again.

A Really Lovely Hotel
Spent four nights here with my close friend and, we have to say, we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were polite, professional and always willing to assist with any enquiry we had. Especially the poolside staff. Nothing was too much trouble for the man who looked after the area. He was friendly, smiley and, a little bit of a flirt! Which was just harmless fun, even when I had an ooops moment due to my menopausal brain! We had one of the Standard rooms. The beds were comfy and supportive, good for my back. The standard of cleanliness was very high. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss but overall we got what we wanted to set us up for the day, so it was all good in the end. Besides, when we relaxed at the pool the bar there had a good range of snacks at budget friendly prices. The only downside is that guests are allowed to smoke, yuk! So, in a nutshell, it's a great place to stay without breaking the bank and, its location means everything is pretty close to hand for going out and about sightseeing.

Lovely hotel basic but comfortable
We came here on a very cheap package with easyJet and were slightly apprehensive having read some of the reviews. The hotel far exceeded our expectations - yes it is a bit faded but very pretty still with lovely ceramic tiling and a gorgeous atrium with a huge chandelier. Our room was fairly basic but spotlessly clean and perfectly comfortable and very spacious with an equally spacious bathroom. It overlooked the street but wasn’t that noisy - and for us much preferable to overlooking the pool with the constant loop of disco music. The room was cleaned daily and bed linen and towels changed during our short stay. In the evenings traditional musicians play in the dining room which is lovely, but you can eat much better in ‘town’. All the staff were really kind, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok but the juices heavily sweetened. Omelettes made to order are very good. We enjoyed sharing the breakfast room with the resident tortoise munching away on a lettuce leaf! Location is a fair walk from the centre (20-30 minutes, very straightforward route) but we were prepared for that having stayed in the area before, and like to walk. Loads of taxis if you don’t! Overall we really liked the hotel, excellent value.

Basic hotel but in a good location
This hotel was a good base to explore Marrakech, there wasn’t much atmosphere at the hotel, we did upgraded to a superior room which was a bit more stylish, however, the bed was very hard and the pillows were uncomfortable. The pool guy was great he really does work so hard, other members of staff were a little abrupt/rude and when we asked to extend the room to 4.30 pm on day of leaving we were quoted at first 100 dirhams and then when we came to pay the wanted to charge us 450 dirhams, be careful of being ripped off. Also the hotel is a little run down and the breakfast is basic. Overall I’d say this hotel is more a 2-3 star not a 4*.

Comfortable Stay with Excellent Staff
A long weekend for some winter sun. We booked through easyJet holidays. The hotel is located not far from the train station (5 mins walk) a couple of supermarkets are also within 5-10 mins walk. The Medina and Souks are a long ish walk (maybe 1 hour) or 5 mins taxi ride. Tour buses pick up from this hotel. The hotel rooms are dated but clean. We originally had a first room we had did not have a balcony, it also stank of smoke. It was however more modern that the Superior room we moved to. The superior room had a balcony, also had a fridge and safe (but I did not check if these were also in the first room. The beds were comfortable, and we requested additional pillows. The bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and bidet had a difficult lock - not suitable to use in the night. The balcony had 2 chairs and a table, the room only 1 chair. I didn't count the plug sockets in the room, but there was one either side of our twin beds. There was also a other that the TV was plugged into. It was a shame there was no kettle in the room. There was a bar that did tea/ coffee/ soft drinks & some non alcoholic beers, but after a while (generally in Morroco) pathetic sized cups of tea and coffee get on your nerves, well they did for us anyway! The hotel reception area has some sofas and there are chairs/ benches in the outside courtyard. The pool is a reasonable size for a city centre location, and there are many loungers. We used the restaurant only for included breakfast. It has a good selection of hot and cold food, although the restocking of cutlery, plates and particularly cups is very slow. There are cold options including salad, oats, cheese, ham, breads and pastries. Hot option include: scrambled egg, vegetables, potatoes, porridge, fresh cooked eggs or omelette and fresh cooked pancakes. Service from all staff in the hotel was fantastic. Always very helpful and polite nothing is too much trouble. The spa is good. Price labels attached to this review. We had a 50 mins massage, but we were in there just over an hour. It was a great massage, but perhaps a little firmer than it needed to be. It does need booking though. The paper underwear has given us a lot of laughs, it's not functional and doesn't leave anything to ones imagination 🤣

Great hotel base to explore Marrakesh!
I booked this hotel through easyJet holidays and was a little nervous after reading the negative reviews on Diwane but once there we couldn’t see why. The hotel is not a 4* but it is clean, quiet and the staff friendly. It’s a very pleasant hotel with a true feel of Morocco. I’d much rather have that than a hotel chain. The rooms have air conditioning, a safe and a mini fridge. We upgraded to a room with a balcony which overlooked the pool/snack bar area which looked serene. The pool is unheated so we didn’t get to use it but it looked so inviting. Diwane is located just a 10 minute taxi ride from the main Jemma el fna square and souks. One tip - don’t ask the hotel to order you a taxi as it cost about £22 and it should only cost around £7/8. Turn left on leaving the hotel and flag a yellow taxi on the main road. You need to haggle prices before getting in or they will overcharge you. This hotel is great value for money when you spend most of your time out sightseeing and come back to a nice clean room at the end of the day. We would 100% stay here again.

Amazing
From start to finish we had an amazing experience at this hotel. The staff were amazing, warm and friendly. The spa is a must the treatments are just wonderful. The rooms are big, spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. A big thank you to Haitam who works at he pool bar and during breakfast. Haitam went out of his way to make us feel like family. He gave us loads of information about activities we could. Any questions I had about the language or culture he was more than happy to answer. Haitam always has friendly smile on his face. He made our trip extra special.

regular haunt
We come here regularly when in the area as it offers a central stay at reasonable prices. Room quality varies and this time it was an older room but quiet as away from the noise of the main road. The room was adequate but does need updating. No card door opening, Only two easy access plugs and a nice bath in an old bathroom. Breakfast as always has very limited meat options, but does have nice orange juice, and a useful pancake/omelette station.

Great stay…
Was quite dubious around our stay but I don’t have any complaints.. the staff were friendly & helpful, Simone on reception was great! Our room was by the looks a newly decorated and exceptionally clean, very comfy bed & bedding… the dining room was a little worn however the food was good with lots on offer. We had omelettes and traditional Moroccan breakfast which are also freshly made. Pool area was again clean. It was a great base for exploring, also the area around has some great restaurants and cafes. Get a taxi outside the hotel for 50 mad to the square for 2 people.. they charge per person, it would cost us 100 when there was 5 of us, although got it for 80 on occasion. There’s a shop beside on the left when leaving or if it’s closed to the right around the corner for water etc.

Horrible Hotel
We stayed at this hotel expecting a four-star standard based on how it is marketed online, including the images of the rooms. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. The hotel is extremely run down and poorly maintained. The room we were initially given was in a very bad state, and after raising concerns we were moved to another room, which was just as poor. This was clearly not an isolated issue. The condition of the rooms and the general state of repair fell well below what would reasonably be expected. In addition, there was ongoing building work across multiple floors during our stay, causing constant noise and disruption. This was not mentioned at the time of booking and had a significant impact on our experience. This was not simply a cleanliness issue — the hotel as a whole feels neglected and in need of serious refurbishment. The accommodation does not reflect the images or standard used to promote it. We raised concerns during our stay, but nothing meaningful was done to resolve them. I would not recommend this hotel and would advise others to be very cautious, as what is advertised does not match the reality on arrival.

Great location, lovely hotel, no alcohol available
We had 3 nights in the Diwane Hotel. We had to upgrade our rooms as the original rooms werent anything like a 4 star room. It cost us an extra 60 euros. Our upgraded rooms were on the 5th floor, views of the city and had a balcony. The bed was massive and comfortable, the bathroom was large and clean. The breakfast was good and the staff were excellent. The location is pretty central and plenty of restaurants and shops around. What was disappointing was the fact the hotel decided not to serve alcohol. This just meant we went out to rooftop bars or drank in our room. This also was not publicised when we booked. It was a minor point but didnt spoil our stay. Overall a decent hotel and stayed in far worse in Europe.
