Fantastic stay

An oasis of calm from the crazy streets and souks of Marrakesh. The room was very authentic, comfortable and clean. Room was cleaned and bed changed every day including fresh towels. Sissy on reception was very welcoming and helpful. She gave us a map and marked n places of interest and how to get there. Breakfast was simple but good. The rooftop terrace was beautiful with amazing views over Marrakesh. We really loved our short stay at Riad Armelle and highly recommend it.

Peace in the Medina

Incredible riad in the centre of the medina. Really clean, secure and peaceful. Location wise it was close to pick up points for trips which was great. Authentic rooms and relaxing communal areas. Staff are really friendly and helpful providing recommendations etc when asked. Always someone on site for assistance even offering earlier breakfast options when leaving for trips. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for and authentic medina riad and experience

Riad Armelle - an excellent, comfortable and most enjoyable stay at this very Moroccan riad.

When we arrived at this riad, we were met by Ziad, the day-time manager, who was exceedingly friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs! In the evening, Sissi, who took over as the evening manager, was equally as helpful, friendly and attentive. Always interested in her guests and having the time to chat to us all. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them, with regards to booking excursions, issues with TUI booked trips or any other queries or assistance as and when required. We would like to add that all the staff were exceedingly pleasant, friendly & helpful. The riad, itself, was very comfortable, clean and really exuded that Moroccan feeling due to it's beautiful and authentic décor. The rooftop garden was a wonderful place to sit quietly, have a beer and just enjoy the gentle breeze blowing over us!! We would like to thank all the staff at Riad Armelle for making our first ever trip/holiday to Morocco, and in particular to Marrakesh, a most happy, enjoyable and memorable experience. We enjoyed a fantastic 4-day getaway in May. Marrakech can be hectic, but Riad Armelle—tucked just off the bustling medina—was a haven of calm. Stepping through the door was a surprise - a courtyard filled with plants and birds Our room was gorgeous—authentically decorated in traditional Moroccan style, yet fully equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast each morning was great, with a delicious selection of fresh breads, cheeses, yoghurts and more. The staff were genuinely warm and helpful, always ready with a smile or advice. It’s a superb hotel that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. We had a truly memorable stay, including an unforgettable hot air balloon ride, a trek through the Atlas Mountains, and plenty of time exploring the sights and atmosphere of the city.

Little gem

The Riad is absolutely beautiful. Both of our rooms were very tastefully decorated and had everything you need. Everywhere you looked there was something special to see. The service was impeccable and all the staff were so accommodating and friendly.

Amazing Authentic Riad

Currently staying in the beautiful Riad Armelle. This beautiful oasis just off the hustle & bustle of the market nearby is truly spectacular. Staff have been nothing short of amazing and accommodating to us, especially when answering any queries or questions. If you're thinking of booking this Riad I would absolutely recommend and will absolutely be back!

Authentic riad in the Medina

A really lovely place to stay just within the walls of the Medina. An oasis of calm that’s a hop away from the main hustle and bustle of the thoroughfares. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and in particular the manager, who sorted out a number of difficulties we had with transport, language and a few other things external to our stay in the Riad. Simply, a great experience.

Fabulous

Beautiful Riad. The decor inside is just beautiful. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous courtyard. You could have a drink in the Riad after a day out. It is approx 25 mins to the main square. Highly recommend for future travellers.

Great atmosphere, culture, and staff.

My heart was warmed at the warm welcome and from the staff. Cici was really sweet and caring. They also arranged a hotel shuttle service pickup which was nice to have after a long flight. The interior is so elegant and charming. I would definitely recommend this Riad and also stay here again!

Amazing riad in the Northern Medina

Beautiful riad in the Northern Medina, set just off the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Not that you’d know it as the riad is so peaceful and tranquil. Amazing rooms, very comfy beds, a lovely rooftop terrace, great continental breakfast, serves alcohol too. Thoroughly recommend this great location for getting out and about and seeing the sights and sounds of Marrakech. We had a wonderful time!

Calm

In short, this was the best accommodation that we have ever been to. The level of service, the calm atmosphere, the cleanliness. Oh, and don’t forget the food - make sure to have one evening meal here (brilliant). Each room is different so unique is the buzzword. While I am sure many of the other Riads will be just as good, Armelle should be very proud of themselves. 😀😀

Highly recommend

Stayed here Friday to Monday with a Jet 2 break. Staff were helpful and place was spotless. Truly authentic Moroccan riad so if you normally stay at the Hilton this may not be to your taste. Our room was on first floor and stairs are steep but there are ground floor rooms for the less able. We were given mint tea on arrival and the day manager took our bags upstairs,showed us all around the Riad and explained everything. Our room was beautiful and shore worked well, beds were firm but very comfortable. We didn’t use air con just left the shutters open during the day as I expected it would be stuffy if you didn’t. Room was cleaned every day and fresh towels if you wanted ( we didn’t as only there for weekend. Breakfast was basic but more than adequate, breads, croissants, pancakes, fruit, boiled eggs and the tea/ coffee was fine. You can have dinner but need to inform them in the morning. They do sell alcohol the only thing not cheap in Marrakesh but we weren’t bothered. The roof terrace is lovely to relax and weather was mild in December. Only a short walk from one of the main entrances where the taxis stop but doubt we would have found it without the Jet 2 transfer only thing to improve is Rooms could do with a small fridge and kettle as there’s plenty space. Great first visit to Marrakesh and highly recommend this Riad especially the staff,cleaner’s breakfast staff, Cici and everyone so helpful

Lovely traditional hotel

Lovely authentic hotel. Traditional bedrooms and ornate furnishings. Staff were very friendly and helpful, booking a visit at a Hamman for us and giving tips on taxis. Breakfast was a little limited but enough for what we needed. I would definitely go back

Lovely Riad

We received a warm welcome to this lovely Riad, which is an unexpected oasis of beauty and calm from the dusty, bustling alleyways of the market. We had had a long journey, with flight delays, and it would have been nice to have been offered an evening meal, or a drink at least, but this was not forthcoming. We were though directed to a perfectly nice hotel just a few dozen yards away from our Riad, where we had an acceptable meal (a bit chilly on the terrace, which was the only available table). Our room was beautifully decorated, in traditional style and very clean. The terrace was a nice space to relax at the end of our sightseeing day, although workmen took up several hours on the terrace one day. Unavoidable, I suppose. Staff were friendly and helpful, though not always present. All in all, Riad Armelle is to be recommended.

Amazing place to stay in Marrakech

We have spent an amazing 3 nights in Riad Armelle. The Riad is located in a side alley, a 3 minute walk from one of the Medina gates along a market street. Staff met us from the taxi and walked us to our accommodation (Jet2 transfer, so not sure if applies to all transfers) The Riad location is around a 15-20 minute stroll from the main Medina market square along a well lit road. During our stay we always felt safe and everyone we met were very friendly. The Riad has 15 rooms wonderfully decorated in a traditional Moroccan style. There are plenty of places to sit in the central courtyard area and also a roof terrace to relax sun bathing or in the many shaded seating areas. The Riad was spotlessly clean There were toiletries and a hair dryer supplied in the room and there was a curtain that could be drawn across the shower area for privacy . The large bed was super comfy and the room was cleaned daily. We stayed half board, good breakfast of breads, croissants, ham , cheese etc .Excellent Evening 3 course set meal ( let them know any dietary requirements in advance) , beer and wine were available (around £4.00 & £20.00 bottle respectively) All staff were excellent and very helpful especially Ziad. We would definitely recommend staying in this fabulous traditional Riad.

Well placed, authentic Riad who could up their game a bit.

We stayed a week in the Riad Armelle, an authentic quaint Riad. It is well placed for exploring the old town. The decor is amazing and the room immaculately clean. It is a very calm place within the bustle of the city. One or 2 things could have been improved to make it 5* review.

Great experience in old town Marrakech.

Staff is very nice especially Ziad. If it wasn’t for him, I would have given the property one star only. I checked in, put my cloths out and left to explore the city. I came back and there was water all over my cloths and the floor that was coming from the AC unit. They changed the room for me but the toilet in the other room wasn’t working properly and water kept running all night. Ziad made sure it’s fixed the next day. Not easy to get to the hotel as cars don’t reach the area. Bottom line, the property is beautiful but needs a lot of repair. I will never go back to it. Ziad stands out as an excellent employee of the property

Far from th jamaelfna square and its a confusing maze to get to the square. Far from taxi stop if u have alot of luggage you need to walk to the riad. Place is average but we have other riad that we’ve stayed in same price but way better rooms.

The staff made the property, there was a female who was so accommodating with questions, concerns, and explanations, she went above and beyond and we are grateful as it made navigating the city easier! All around beautiful property with great staff

A lovely Riad, close to much that Marrakech has to offer. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here if again.

We stepped at night into a very busy old market street, full of donkeys pulling carts, buzzing vespas hovering around smoky areas, it felt like being on a set of a Jacky Chan's film. It took us 10 minutes walking to a second little turning to find our riad. We found a pretty tiny wooden blue door. We knocked on it and bent our heads to walk in. As the door opened we walked into an oasis. A beautiful courtyard filled with gigantic climbing plants , marble flooring, and massive mirrors was leading to a second courtyard flanked with timber lacy type wood carving balconies. The place was full of tranquillity. It felt like a mind spa hanging around downstairs, rooms or a magnificent roof top. The gentle Moroccan music was waving through the different areas. We felt completely disconnected from the rest of Marrakech, which was a few minutes away. The staff was lovely and helpful. I would not pick a better accommodation.

Very beautiful hotel.

I really impressed with hotel's decor. I was in Riad Armelle when the earthquake happened last Sep 8th in Marrakech, but the hotel got only minor damage. Everything is good. There's about 15-20 min walking distance to many famous places in Old Madinas.

We loved our stay at Riad Armelle. The property is amazing, and is its own oasis in the middle of a bustling Medina. You can feel the sense of history, and the furnishings and roof top terrace only make it better. Staff was very helpful and attentive, even accommodating our need for an early breakfast as we left early for an excursion one early morning. Fantastic value, too. Would definitely recommend.

Totalmente encantador, es un pequeño palacio como un oasis en medio de un mercado y pequeñas calles, fácil acceso a pie al resto de la Medina. El personal muy educado y acogedor. Buen desayuno.

The lady managing the Riad was so helpful and made us very welcome. Expedia had not sent the required voucher to them and I spent a frustrating time “talking” to computerised Bots and ultimately to a human( not having humans available to deal with queries wastes time and is so frustrating as they keep repeating the same silly mantra instead of dealing with the issue). Eventually they did what they should have done months ago and sent the voucher which then mysterious disappeared from my screen! The Riad however is excellent. An oasis of calm right off the main track in the Souk.We ate there and the food was local specialities imaginatively served. Breakfasts too were filling and with wonderful breads. Rooms are comfortable and individually styled in the local colours. Bathroom showers was hand held and not fixed to the wall. A/C but we used the windows which opens onto the central courtyard and safe. Riad is a 200 year old former home. Roof garden is equipped with sun beds and shady spots and is excellent for sipping a beer after a long days sightseeing. Wi fi works but is weak but that’s not why you go there, it’s fine for emails. Taxi’s can’t reach the Riad and so they drop you nearby leaving a 50 years walk through a crowded souk. Make sure you get directions on how to find the Riad from where the taxi drops you. Pick-ups too can be challenging but the manager was willing to contact our tour companies to ensure they were actually coming to the right place!

An original old boutique hotel in Moroccan style. The entrance is in an alley (Derb) near the city gate (Bab Doukkala) within the walled inner city. (Medina); The hotel is old with a lot of atmosphere but clean. The breakfast was good. The taxi can get to the gate, after which you have to walk another 100 m through the chaotic busy street with local shops, restaurants and souvenir shops. The staff is is friendly as are the people on the street and we always felt safe.

Un très joli riad, très bien décoré dans les parties communes et dans les chambres. La terrasse est sympa également. A améliorer: le petit déjeuner: il est prévu jusqu’à 10:00, mais si on arrive à moins le quart on nous fait remarquer qu’il est trop tard (un matin, on est même venu frapper à notre porte à 9:30!); aussi le pain au chocolat est rassi et le jus d’oranges est très coupé à l’eau (bizarre car il était excellent le premier jour). Le riad est très bien situé et l’accueil est charmant.

A lovely authentic Riad within easy walking distance of the sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Riad isn't easy to find, so asking the Riad to organise an airport transfer is a good idea as the driver will walk you right to the Riad's front door. Marrakech is a busy (and therefore) noisy place, so bring ear plugs to sleep.

Le personnel est très accueillant, surtout Siam. Hospitalité excellente. On se sent comme chez nous ! L’éclairage de la salle de bain n’est pas adapté. Difficile de se maquiller… les serviettes de toilette sont très lourdes et n’epongent pas bien ! Le matelas est très ferme. Du bruit le matin a 7h30 a cause de travaux à côté. Sinon très belle deco.

Property is behind a door in a walk just off a frantic market. Close the door and peace surrounds you. Beautiful interior and friendly staff. Just 15 min walk to the square and soukes. It’s the real experience of Morrocco.

Traditional Moroccan hotel decoration was good, room lacked few essential such as iron and iron board, shower tap, different level shower hold. Small table next to the chair to place your tea, coffee or drink glass/bottle.

STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL Riad! This little Riad is an oasis of quietness in the middle of the bustling medina. The place is gorgeously decorated, and the staff are so lovely that they make you feel at home from the start. Food is great. They really have an outstanding chef. The property had some minor internet issues on my last day, but they were quick to fix them. Ill be staying at this Riad again when returning to Marrakech.

Staying at this Riad was amazing. We loved every bit of it, from the decoration, to the food, the people, the smells, the peacefulness. It was really amazing staying at this place.

Tolle Lage im Zentrum. Man ist sofort im Getümmel mittendrin und wenn man nach Hause kommt empfängt einen (fast) vollständige Ruhe.

This is truly one of the most romantic places I have ever stayed in. Dream-like decor with lots of attention to detail. The Riad is also in a fantastic location, just set off the bustling Bab Doukkala and only about 10-15 minutes from the Big Square and the Souks. Will definitely return to Riad Armelle if I visit Marrakech again.

Riad Armelle - authentic, awesome

Riad Armelle is in the Médina, perfect walkable location. It’s an authentic experience. The rooms and common areas are pretty and decorated as you would hope. The roof terrace is a great getaway spot. Food - breakfast and dinners - is simple and delicious. The people are wonderful and want to ensure that you have a terrific stay with them. The airport transportation is recommended to help you find the Riad your first time.

Hotel location is on outer edges of medina, meaning a bit of a stroll each day into the wonderful and mad world of the souks etc. But it's real, authentic Marrakesh - nothing leaves you wondering how these people live and exist. My wife was content and happy with the accommodation and standard of hotel - personally, I would've preferred a better hotel experience (a bit cleaner, better location and to be honest more luxurious and better appointed all round) and stayed a night less. But for what you get for the price, it's hard to complain.

Riad magnifique, accueil excellent.

Une petite oasis de calme dans la Medina, aucun bruit à part celui les oiseaux. Un décor d'art arabe magnifique. Le personnel est très professionnel, prêt à donner tous les conseils utiles pour se débrouiller en ville (très apprécié pour ma part, puisque je voyageais seule). La cuisine de la table d'hôtes est excellente. Seul petit bémol, l'isolation phonique qui n'est pas terrible à cause des portes anciennes... mais l'hôtel étant hyper calme cela ne dérange pas tant que ça. Petit plus: un immense merci au directeur de l'hôtel qui m'a même raccompagnée personnellement jusqu'à mon taxi.

Ingen har vært i Marokko uten å ha prøvd en Rihad i Medinaen. 1001 natt i virkeligheten. Vær forberedt på at du bor og lever på Rihadens premisser. Hvis du spiser der så spiser men det man får. Godt er det uansett.

Trevligt boende i genuint område

Mor och dotter- resa över 3 nätter. Boendet enkelt och sharmigt men ej 4 stjärnigt. Trevlig takterrass med möjlighet till sol och avkoppling i lugn oas.Enkel frukost som intas på innergården. Den här tiden på året krävs varma kläder. Vi åt middag på hotellet en kväll och det kan vi avråda från då det var riktigt dåligt och dyrt efter förhållandena. Bra läge i genuina kvarter. Mycket lite turister i detta område. Promenadavstånd till turistattraktionerna .

This Riad is a Gem

Despite having a difficult time finding the Riad, I was welcomed by the owner, Armelle, who went out of her way to make me feel welcome. My room, the Thousand and One Nights, was beautifully appointed and the decor was exquisite. This was the case throughout the entire Riad. The owners have decorated the Riad with taste and attention to color schemes and Arabian style. I loved every minute of my stay.

Havre de paix dans la médina

Riad magnifique, restauré et meublé avec beaucoup de gout , prestation impeccable, très calme . Restauration le soir excellente, félicitation au cuisto. 20mn a pied de la place / 20mn du jardin Majorel / 15 Dirham pour un taxi au centre ville.

Perfect Riad in centre of Marrakech

We stayed at Riad Armelle for four nights on a visit to Marrakech. From our arrival from the busy streets we were welcomed and relaxed by the staff's friendly welcome and beautiful décor. The hotel has been extensively renovated and has an intimate and exotic charm. The staff couldn't do enough for us- the rooms were perfect and attention to detail was evident at every turn. The rooms were quiet even though we were footsteps from the busy Marrakech streets. Facilities were clean and worked well. We had breakfast every day in the Riad which was extensive and we had dinner there one night too- delicious! There is a tranquil roof terrace for the sun (and shade) seekers- a real getaway. All we could talk about when we were leaving was when we'd be able to come back. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay.

Underbar oas mitt i ett livat Marrakech

Jag åkte till Marrakech med min syster och vi hade en jättetrevlig vistelse på hotellet. Skulle absolut välja samma Riad om jag åker dit igen! Personalen var jättetrevlig och omtänksam, och hjälpte till med allt! Rummen var jättemysiga med riktig "tusen och en natt"-känsla. Har absolut igen negativt att säga om denna riad, vi är helnöjda!

Great Riad and really helpful staff

Just spent 3 nights in Riad Armelle on our first trip to Marrakech. A real culture shock when you walk from the taxi to the hotel on your arrival. But the quiet of Riad Armelle is just a short walk away. Saad the Hotel Manager and his assistant CC were really helpful both before and during our stay. The room was fantastic and the breakfast was very good. Enjoy your trip to Marrakech.

青い木製のドアが美しいリアド

スタッフが親切で、困り事を根気よく聞いて手助けしてくれました。青色の木製のドアが古い味を出して大変美しいホテルです。帰りはカサブランカまでのタクシーを頼むとすぐ呼んでくれ１０００ディルハムということで、カサブランカの空港から乗ったときは１５００ディルハムだったことを考えると、けっこう助かったなあと思います。たった２時間で空港に着きました。部屋は、ラ　スルタナと同じテラスを共有する日本語で「夢」という部屋の二つを取り、楽しく過ごしました。洗面所がロマンチックでした。タクシー乗り場に近くあまりボラない感じが使いやすいと思いました。部屋が暗いことと水道の水漏れ（ポタポタ）は困りました。

wir hatten das zimmer "träume des orients" bezogen und fanden es auch am schönsten von allen,die "dusche" ist sehr zu empfehlen.das personal sehr lieb und hilfsbereit.der manager,der perfekt deutsch spricht,war eine grosse hilfe und ausgesprochen nett. wer nicht auf perfektionismus und 6******luxus aus ist,ist hier genau richtig. wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden auf jedenfall wiederkommen. die stadt ist sehr sehr aufregend und der verkehr total crasy,die vielen eindrücke und 40 grad mit strahlend blauen himmel und kilometerlangen stadterkundungen und besichtigungen können einen schon erschöpfen,wenn man dann nach "hause" kommt,kann man auf der dachterasse gemütlich relaxen. ich komm auf jeden fall nochmal wieder...

Wonderful, AMAZING, incredible experience in the heart of the Old City

A 15 minute walk from the souks, this beautiful Riad is located in the heart of the Old City. Down an ally (as all Riads are), behind a beautiful door.... heaven awaits. We were swept back in time as we walked from the taxi, down a street of food markets and mopeds thru the hustle and bustle of the Morrocon people and their true daily life. A two minute walk to catch a taxi if you wanted.... or in a location to walk the entire city. Sad, the manager, was amazing. At night, you can stay in and have the greatest meal, cooked and served to you by their master chef. ( we ate here 3 nights out of 4). For a TRUE experience of a lifetime, this was the best trip I have ever had!

Das Riad insgesamt und unser Zimmer waren sauber, toll ausgestattet und liebevoll gestaltet. Eine Oase der Ruhe in der quirligen Medina. Der Service einschließlich des extra für uns gekochten Abendessens warehn ausgezeichnet. Insgesamt ist der Riad sehr zu empfehlen!
