Hygiene in the restaurant was shocking; dirt was felt underfoot in the room.
Buffet food was consistently cold; poor hygiene with birds near food.
Rooms were outdated and not appropriately prepared for guests.
Numerous complaints regarding the all-inclusive package being misleading.
Staff were generally rude and unwelcoming, which led to discomfort during requests.
Location mentioned positively as a relaxing hotel with a lovely pool view.
Indoor pool was heated but required an extra fee, and sun loungers were sparse.
The relaxing environment and helpful reception lady enhanced the overall experience.

A lovely sunny winter break in luxury and style
A wonderful sunny winter break ! A short hop from the airport, the hotel was welcoming and very luxurious ! We had a fabulous room overlooking the pool with afternoon sun so we enjoyed this time on our balcony. We were All inclusive and the drinks and food choices were good . We were there for a chill out and the Riad offered exactly what we were looking for, a short taxi ride to Jamaa el Fna and the centre of Marrakech but a little tranquil and elegant oasis when when arrived back ! The staff were amazing ! Khadij in the dining room was lovely always welcomed us with a lovely smile and was very attentive , I’d say she works twice as fast as others in her position she is definite to be thanked, Rania on reception / hospitality is also a credit to you, a truly sweet person but the award for the most amazing person we met , who went over and above to help us was Khalid , one of the super managers on Reception what a lovely person a real credit to the hotel! He was so kind and went out of his way to help us with a booking !

Beautifully Disappointing!
Such a gorgeous hotel, stunning grounds, fantastic room, friendly reception staff. Really let down by the restaurant and lack of sunbeds. Food was lukewarm with very limited choices. For example fruit choice over 5 night stay was apples and oranges only! Only one or 2 types of roast meat. Not what I'd expect after staying in other 5 star hotels in Egypt recently. The tables were never properly set and if you asked for anything the staff were mainly grumpy and unhelpful. Very bad customer service. Always slow to serve drinks. No ice cream! Our main complaint was the lack of sunbeds. Not enough by far and all booked up with towels from 7am. Lots of space but no beds. Totally unacceptable to go on this kind of holiday and not be able to relax in the sun. There were 10 empty beds in the Spa but staff said they weren't allowed to bring them out! This caused a lot of stress for guests and is why we won't be back.

Lovely stay
Having just returned from a 4 night stay at the Jaal Riad, I felt I had to write a review as there have been so many negative comments posted. I travel extensively around the world, and this is by far one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. Lush, immaculately kept gardens, lots of comfy chairs and shady spots for reading or chilling, a beautiful pool area with a snack bar, great evening entertainment, and friendly, helpful staff who can't do enough for you. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a daily clean and towel refresh. Some reviews have criticised the food, however there is ample choice, from salads, pizza, pasta, Indian and local cuisine. Freshly cooked eggs/omelettes are available in the mornings along with breads, cold cuts, cheese, fruit and yogurt. The food could be a little warmer, but it's not cold as some reviews have suggested and, quite frankly, not worth complaining about! I refilled my plate several times on each visit :-) Taxis are stationed across the street and the staff will gladly wave one over for you. Please be sure to agree a price before getting in! We paid between 40 and 60 MAD for rides into the main square. In summary, I would 100% recommend the hotel - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

average hotel for a base during a trip to marrakech
Just stayed here for 4 nights with my partner as a package holiday from jet 2. The hotel is very average compared to others we have stayed at, whilst the decor is gorgeous it just isn’t a 4/5* in my opinion. The staff are all super friendly and helpful, easy to get taxis outside the hotel and an ATM machine in the hotel. Beer and wine was nice but cocktails were awful, the food was very average and similar (luckily we didn’t eat every meal here and I’m not sure how people do). The stations would often be running low and not topped up quickly as well. I’m vegan and was able to find enough to eat but things are not labelled well at all. There is absolutely nothing to do around the hotel but there is a supermarket in walking distance. Unfortunately a lot of the guests let this place down, people there just to drink the day and night away and we had a group of women keeping us up till 2am screaming and shouting all night and no staff around to try manage this, whilst I understand people are away to have fun there was no respect and we had to be up early the following day. Our room was nice but there was a rather suspicious looking stain on the bed runner and whilst the bed was made and towels changed each day our room wasn’t really cleaned. I think our stay here was ok because we spent such little time at the hotel, if you’re wanting. holiday where you stay at the hotel a lot I wouldn’t recommend this hotel it does have some improvements to make to be a 4*. I can imagine in busy season it’s very hard to get a sun lounger as people were out first thing to claim them even on the cooler days and there aren’t many to choose from in the first place. Overall we had a good time but it isn’t my favourite place I have stayed.

Relaxing break
As a seasoned traveller, I wanted to share a more balanced and positive perspective on Jaal Riad Resort in Marrakech, as some of the previous reviews don’t fully reflect the experience we had. First of all, the hotel itself is fantastic. The amenities and communal areas are beautifully maintained, with a stylish and relaxing atmosphere throughout the resort. The pool areas are particularly lovely and provide a great space to unwind. I had read several reviews mentioning issues with the food, particularly that it was cold or that there was not enough choice. From our experience, I would disagree with this. There was a good selection of food available at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. We found the variety more than adequate and always managed to enjoy our meals. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which really helped make the stay enjoyable. The hotel was also consistently clean and well looked after, which is something we always pay close attention to when travelling. One minor issue we noticed was the familiar holiday habit of guests placing towels on sunbeds early in the morning. While this can make finding a preferred spot a little more difficult at peak times, it didn’t significantly impact our stay. Another highlight was the evening entertainment, which offered a great selection each night and added to the overall holiday atmosphere. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The combination of great facilities, friendly staff, good food options, and enjoyable evening entertainment made for a relaxing and memorable visit. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the resort to others visiting Marrakech.

Marrocco trip
I recently stayed in Marrakesh for 4 days. A wonderful mini-vacation. The accommodation at Jaal riad surprised us with its comfort, elegance, and the kindness of the staff. Because we stayed a short time, we called Taxi Tours Marocco and had a minivan at our disposal. Hakim, the driver and guide, organized our time very well so that we saw the specifics of the place. We went to a Berber home in the Atlas Mountains, saw how local ceramics are made, went to the desert for a camel ride and a traditional dinner, quickly passed through the souk, but we also saw the modern, luxurious side, I could say. All in all, a wonderful vacation with wonderful friends!+212 667-478986 Hakim

Not a 4*+ hotel
Who on earth are writing these reviews? My experience was terrible. This hotel was chosen for it's tranquil setting but all we have had from the 2nd march is banging from renovations, no pool and feeble excuses from the jet 2 rep saying he was unaware of the renovations and a feeble offer of 25 pounds per day. When further loud banging was happening today during breakfast so loud that the floor shook I complained to management. Later that day I was told by one of their team Jet2 were informed last summer if the PLANNED work. Had I known I would not of booked this hotel as plenty of cheaper hotels available. If you want 5 star experience go elsewhere. Food repetitive, constantly cold and running short of supply. Pool reopened today and guests told no pool towels available so use your room towels. It's a joke save your money go elsewhere

Always a great experience travelling with Jet 2 . Efficient all round ! The hotel was fab , comfy rooms , sunbeds , bar areas etc all fab! Exceptional service from the bar team. Idriss , Salim and Nourdine were fabulous , friendly and welcoming ! And poured wonderful drinks to suit our tastes. Buffet was good , could be doing with a changing a bit through the week maybe to different cultures ? The a la carte was fab but very slow service.

Just what we needed
The Jaal Riad resort was a fantastic stay from start to finish. We felt so well looked after thanks to the amazing staff - unfortunately I don’t know her name but the lady at reception helped us book trips and thanks to her we experienced so much. The beautiful Moroccan decor everywhere was beautiful as was the smell of orange blossom. Florence was the live singer for 2 out of 3 nights and she was fantastic. Food and drink fab. Thank you to all

Ok for a short break…. But not a 5*
Overall a good few days at this resort however things could be a lot smoother…. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by reception by asking for our passports, not anything else, we were then presented with a form to fill in in regards to our passport details (but they still had our passports). We were told not to fill these in at the reception but to take a seat with a piece of paper no clip boards. Once we had completed these we were then asked to sign onto the WiFi and provide our easyJet booking confirmation so they could get paid.. I disputed this as it had all my bank details etc so the you took a picture of the relevant page to show were staying here… He then ushered us showing us around the building and said the al a crate restaurants see there but your not allowed to use them.. We were in two rooms same floor but different ends of corridor, they were fine too many scatter cushions for me and the seating area u under the window was very dirty and stained.. it is also noted in the shower section there was. Shutter which you can see through and / or open if you felt necessary so if your two friends be prepared to show a bit of skin…. Toilet is separate. The bed is very large however slipping of the mattresses would be ideal as they are very dented of where others have slept…. The buffet is fine very minimal but will find something to eat, it could be a little warmer as it did go cold very quickly. Snack bar at pool Open between 1430 (or when they decide) again minimal food and if you want burgers or anything you require to pay extra.. Singer on of an evening was fantastic she does not need the keyboard player she is better on her own… SPA:::: Unfortunately the weather wasn’t so kind to us so we decided to go to the inside pool. On arrival the lady said you had to pay for the pool 600mad for 1 hour (for 4 people) we did not pay this… This hotel Advertises 2 pools and the large outdoor pool being a tad cold for This weather it would be expected we are permitted in the inside pool. 3 nights 4 days was more than long enough here but if you are a golfer etc and are using it as a base it will be ample… I have been to Marrakesh many time but unfortunately I won’t be returning to this hotel..

Fantastic Hotel, ideal for a solo female traveller
Visited the Jaal Riad Resort for 4 nights as a solo traveller and had a wonderful experience. The hotel aesthetics were pleasing on arrival - loved the colours, textures and patterns that welcome you as soon as you arrived to reception. Hotel reception were friendly and welcoming along with the luggae porter who all made an effort to interact upon arrival. The room was lovely and clean and spacious, absolutely loved the alcove with what i called a "reading nook" with a comfy sofa and lots of cushions to prop up on and get stuck into a good book. I had a pool facing room with a balcony, large TV, mini fridge, safe and plenty of wardrobe space. My only complaint is the hairdryer isnt very good and my hair is long and takes a while to dry. I would take my own if i return in the future. Pool bar staff were really efficient and attentive and in the main bar, Salim made me some really nice non-alcoholic cocktails as i dont drink. Good chats and laughs every night in the bar. The staff were really accomodating and bent over backwards for anything you needed - nothing was too much trouble. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and i really have no idea why some of the reviews say the food was cold? It wasnt at all - and i ate at varying times including 10 mins before service ended. I also ate the Al la Cartes - both the moroccan fusion and the italian. Much to my embarassment, they had very kindly arranged a birthday surprise/dessert at the Italian and brought me out a massive cake with a sparkler and candle. This was a really nice gesture. I wanted to visit the spa but they were fully booked so sadly i didnt get to experience a massage this time. Never had an issue getting a sunlounger, however, i didnt use the pool as it was a bit too cold for me. I would have rated higher if the pool was heated as that would have been the icing on the cake for me. I thought the cleanliness and maintenence of the grounds/hotel/rooms etc was to a good standard and i really do appreciate all of the staff working in hospitality if they are fasting for Ramadan, yet still having to handle/serve food/alcohol to tourists. As a solo female traveller, i felt really safe and there were plenty of guests and staff to talk to and interact with. Overall, a lovely stay, would absolutely come back again and have been recommending to my friends already.

Beautiful & Brilliant ❤️
I stayed 7 nights and from the moment I arrived I was treated like a queen. Luggage taken to my room, easy to check in with no waiting. My room was spacious and clean. Bathrobe and slippers, mini fridge, south facing porch, huge comfy bed and large sofa in the bay of the window. Easy to use TV which connects to YouTube to use as I get ready each night. The grounds are magnificent and so much detail and artifacts reflecting a really welcoming atmosphere. There were so many places to curl up with a book inside and out. The huge outdoor pool gave a good kickstart to your blood circulation which was so needed from the sunshine and for a cool down. The BOWE spa was excellent and exquisite in the treatments and rooms! I visited 5 times on my trip!! Fatima and all the team were so helpful. The indoor pool was such a relaxing space with loungers also to rest in the warmth. I enjoyed the wide variety of food at all the meal times and free flowing wine. A lot of choices and the staff would replenish or assist if things had run low or you wanted something. The staff throughout the restaurants and the bar were so friendly and helpful. Salim and his staff in the bar that opened at 6pm til 11pm were phenomenonal! They were so helpful, great banter and conversations. The first night I was greeted by Salim and when I shared I was a solo traveller, I was looked after, seen and included every night. The entertainment every night was brilliant - beautiful female divas who had a rich array of classic songs and even some nights of dancing. I ventured out for trips and as a solo traveller, Julien one of the managers took my WhatsApp and shared hers so as to stay in touch should I feel unsafe or need assistance which to me was going the extra mile. So thankful. The security staff were brilliant, the whole team at the hotel just had everything covered. I met some great people from all over especially England and Scotland - such a friendly and inclusive bunch of people Would highly recommend Jaal Riad, I will definitely be booking again. ❤️🏝️

Could be good but I would not book again
This hotel could be very good but there are a few things that take away from what could have been a relaxing stay. First impressions were really nice, beautiful ornate entrance with mosaics and fountains. We booked in and told we had been upgraded from our garden view room to a pool view so all seemed good. There are a couple of issues due to geography that they can do nothing about. First the hotel is on the take off flight path from the nearby airport. Take offs aren’t that regular and they don’t seem to fly at night but this was February, maybe busier in summer. Second is that the very large freshwater pool runs north to south and the hotel rooms run along the sides. So only half the pool is in the sun at any time of the day, so you only have sun in the morning or afternoon depending on which side you are. Again this was February, maybe in the summer the sun is higher in the sky and it less of an issue. Our room was very nice, spacious and clean, we found a kettle and two mugs and a couple of teabags but no coffee or milk. I went to reception and was told “no we don’t supply coffee or milk”. Was told that we could get milk from the pool bar but would have to go and buy our own coffee!! Bought the coffee but then found no teaspoon so had to borrow one from the restaurant. Would it be too much to provide some coffee. Worst thing was the food, dishes mostly empty and not being replaced, what was there was cold. Absolutely no attempt to provide non local food apart from on the “Asian delights” area where one night there was a paella ( not Asian) and stone cold. Breakfast ok if you want continental but otherwise just eggs and a spicy chipalata , no grilled tomato or mushroom or potato. Best food was lunch salads. Unless you are willing to live on cold tagline all week I would go elsewhere. This is our third trip to Morocco, previously once in Agadir and once in Marrakesh in all inclusive hotels and have never been disappointed with the food before. Last comment, the staff do not seem that interested in interacting with the guests unless you are French. It’s a shame, as I said, this could be a very nice hotel but needs some attention from the management

3+ star shabby in places fur coat no knickers!
Rooms lovely but furniture needs to be repaired as very shabby. Sun beds shabby. Hotel sells itself with 2 pools outdoor I heated indoor €20 an hour. Moroccan or Italian restaurant one booking per stay, we went to Moroccan very very bland food, 100 dirham extra for lamb or beef tagine and drinks not included. All inclusive is a very loose term, very limited drinks menu, only a few cocktails. Even those on all inclusive plus we’re only allowed certain branded drinks. Pool bar buffet limited and from 2:30pm food left out birds flying. Food Luke warm concerned about food safety raised with several members of staff, this was ignored! Eggs undercooked again a food safety concern. Safe pleasant good location 10 min taxi to square and souks, shopping mall and carrefour 10 min walk

Authentic Moroccan oasis in bustling Morocco!
Jaal Riad is an oasis in the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. The standard is better than we had expected, the hotel is very clean and the rooms large with kettles, safe and small hairdryer. There was no air con as only heating is used in winter so I was quite hot in the evening but everything else was good. Nice rain shower and separate toilet which was useful! The food was lovely lots of Moroccan so was pleased to try all the local dishes. Pizza and pasta available for those who don’t like it so much. The staff are incredible and the waiters/waitresses are super friendly and if it’s not too busy you’ll get a drink quite quickly. We did have to ask twice a few times but this wasn’t an issue. Only disappointment was the food tend to run out early in the night and suspect they don’t want to waste food so make sure you head down early! Also went to the Moroccan restaurant which was fantastic! We didn’t try the Italian as I think we were only allowed one visit during our 5 night stay. The all inclusive at the bars were good and always able to get a drink. Plus live music in the stunning bar in the evening! The food in the afternoon for all Inc isn’t great as we learned you couldn’t order from the menu and had to have the pizza and salad which was available at the bar. It would have been nice to have access to this menu as I don’t eat pizza so limited choice of anything else. Overall though we had a great time and hotel and staff were fantastic! Recommended.

Very enjoyable stay
Got back yesterday after a week's stay. Generally, the hotel is excellent - the rooms are spacious, the beds large and comfortable, the staff are all helpful and polite and the food is generally good. Contrary to what some other reviewers say, it deserves a 5 star rating. The only downsides are related to the one thing it can't do much about - its location. It is only about 2-3 miles from the airport and on a flight path. While there are no overnight flights, planes can be seen (and heard!) flying not too far above at regular intervals. The hotel is also 2-3 miles from the city centre, mostly down a busy main road and not a very pleasant walk, particularly on a hot day, so you should be prepared to haggle over the fare with local taxi drivers on a regular basis if you plan lots of trips into Marrakech.. We did 3 trips whilst there through easyJet's local partner company - 1. the evening Souks, Jenna El Fnaa Square (where everyone is after the contents of your wallet, by fair means or otherwise) and meal with entertainment (musicians and belly dancer!) afterwards - good, apart from the stop at the chemists where they tried to sell us herbal remedies. 2. Atlas Mountains and Ourika Valley - very good (apart from the stop on the way where they tried to sell us herbal remedies). The climb/steep walk up a mountain is quite an effort and I would advise against it for anyone over 70. 3. Day trip to Essaouira - nice small city on the coast with pleasant old town, harbour and sandy beach. The shops here are less hard sell than Marrakech. We enjoyed it, apart from the half hour stop en route at a co operative where they tried to sell us herbal remedies and the fact that we were the last hotel drop off, so after a near 3 hour drive home from Essaouira there was nearly another hour and a half criss crossing Marrakech dropping people off. Overall, very nice hotel, would recommend. Obviously much cheaper than a hotel of equivalent standard in Europe too.

Great place to stop - easy access to the heart of the city,
We booked the hotel following research on TA. We are always sceptical about some of the reviews but overall all the comments we read were general accurate and a fair reflection. The Jaal Riad is a lovely hotel with spacious public rooms. We did not use the pool because to be frank, it was very cold outside so in the pool would have been a body shock. There is a charge of 200 dirhams to use the indoor heated pool. Our room on the 1st floor was well equipped, spacious, comfortable and had plenty of hot water when showering. We used the pool bar quite a lot and the staff were very welcoming. Indeed the staff throughout the hotel were very helpful and pleasant. The reception staff helped me out with a couple of issues we had in respect of an excursion we were going to do and they also gave advice with regard to the cost of a taxi into the Medina (50 dirhams or €5 for 2 persons per single trip). The main bar had a log fire burning which was great as the evenings were chilly. We were on an All Inclusive tariff but be aware there appears to be more than one tariff. We were yellow band, this meant that in the main we were on locally produced spirits etc but even so they all were good. The food choices in the restaurant were excellent. There have been a number of comments from other travellers regarding the temperature of food in the buffet restaurant. I have to say I generally agree with these comments, mostly hot dishes were at best, warm. Have to say however the harissa was very spicy, delicious. Management have responded to this criticism for some time now, they really need to address it as a matter of some urgency. The hotel is listed as 5 star. It really does have the potential to be 5 star but lets itself down and a number of minor points which if addressed would justify 5 stars, things like there being no soap in dispensers in toilets, no hand towels in dispensers, electric hand driers not working, having to ask for serviettes when dining. Yes these are minor points but ones that put that extra star on to make 5. I personally feel it is more 4.5 stars. Would we return, yes. Thanks to all at the hotel for making our first visit to Morocco so memorable.

An Unforgettable Experience Made Special by Heartfelt Hospitality
Our stay at Jaal Riad Resort was nothing short of exceptional, and what truly set it apart was the incredible human touch from the team—especially Chef Salim and Restaurant Manager Mounssif. Out of nowhere, and without us even asking, they went out of their way to curate a beautiful Indian meal, thoughtfully prepared to match our tastes. This wasn’t just food—it was empathy, care, and cultural understanding served on a plate. Every dish felt intentional, authentic, and made with genuine love. Chef Salim’s talent is undeniable, but what impressed us even more was his willingness to personalize the experience so deeply. And Mounssif’s warmth, attentiveness, and kindness elevated the entire dining experience—he made us feel seen, valued, and truly at home. In hospitality, luxury isn’t just about the المكان—it’s about how people make you feel. At Jaal Riad, thanks to people like Salim and Mounssif, we felt cared for on a human level. This is the kind of service that stays with you long after the trip ends. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back

Quality and total package need to be optimized to arrive at the 5 star level
We booked the place in a package of Voyage Privé. This means you get some extra benefits included such as a discount on the Spa, 1 hout Padel court and all inclusive. The start was very poor, I wrote around 5 mails to the reservation mail address to get more information about the Padel court, but without reply. After many requests they sent me a mail address to use. But that link didn't work so I gave up. The arrival was ok. The place was introduced by a nice lady, and we arrived at the room after a little tour. We had a pool view room on the 2nd floor with a balcony (2x2 meter). The rumour in the corridors at night when drunk english people stumble to their rooms is well heared, and on all the emergency lights on the walls are little birds sitting to get some warmth. The buildings of the complex and the beautiful main hall are constructed to stay cool in summer I suppose. But the past days, apart of the heave rainstorms that passed, were cold, so not comfortable to stay in. There were fireplaces but, apart from the bar some evenings, they were not lighted. It looks to me that the Spa and the Italian restaurant are different companies. Although all inclusive they charge € 5,00 for a medium hot espresso, and the Spa can only be contacted direct, even for simple questions like " if the aqua gym of Sunday is cancelled or not", no info is given. No towels provided at the outside (very cold) swimming pool, and het medium warm pool and jacuzzi (charged) they provide towels after many requests. The outside bar serves meals but they are outside the package, and as well in the Maroccan restaurant there are additional fees on many of the dishes. They are also not trpared on weather changes, although the water was really pooring down, no umbrella available. Conclusion: we travel a lot, all over the world, and my expectations of a 5 star all inclusive resort are different from what was offered and served. It is a nice place, they are very friendly but there is a lot of work to he done to reach the level I expected.

Wonderful holiday
Just returned from a week stay. We had a wonderful time. The staff are lovely and really made it a great stay. Khalid at front desk and there was another man who arranged for me to use the indoor pool a couple times - so helpful. Also rashid in the restaurant was so friendly - all the restaurant staff were great. The bar staff in evenings also so helpful. Thank you for my delicious expresso martini ! The man with the glasses behind the bar - he was so kind. Mohamed who ran entertainment also fun. Smoking in the bar was annoying though but I guess it’s allowed in Morocco. The food is fab. Loved the Moroccan pancakes and the biscuits. Our room was clean and spacious. I do think the indoor pool should be free in winter months. That was a bit disappointing We would def stay again. It’s a beautiful hotel .

Delightful
We had one night at this beautiful riad due to a cancelled flight and we wish we could have stayed longer. The environment is beautiful and spotless. The charming team at the front desk made us feel incredibly welcome and well looked after following our stressful time at the airport. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with many options for all tastes. A short commute from the airport and into the medina. Happy to recommend.

It won't let me give 0 stars...
I never leave bad reviews, so please believe me on this one. Our recent stay at Jaal Riad Resort in Marrakech was deeply disappointing from start to finish. The hotel is absolutely not deserving of a 5-star rating, and in its current state it struggles to meet even 4-star standards. The staff were generally rude, unwelcoming, and made even simple requests feel like an inconvenience. The only exception was the entertainment guy — he was genuinely lovely and a real credit to the hotel. Unfortunately, he was the only bright spot, but only came in a couple of times a week for evening entertainment. Any other evening entertainment would be a small poster by the bar just stating the hours it would be on… these usually started late and ran short. The buffet food was cold every single evening, without exception. Service was painfully slow throughout the hotel, and there are clear rations on food and drinks. Even on the so-called all-inclusive package, nearly everything is a paid extra. Getting a drink with dinner felt like a battle — you often had to ask four or five times before anything arrived. Hygiene in the restaurant was shocking. Birds were flying freely around the dining area and directly over the food. We watched birds pecking at the pizza flour at the pool bar, and to make matters worse, my boyfriend was literally pooed on by a bird while eating in the restaurant. Completely unacceptable. The rooms are outdated and ours wasn’t even prepared for two people, lack of towels and robes. We even questioned if we had been given the correct room due to our television welcome screen having a different name to our own. Even after the room was “serviced” you could still feel dirt under your feet. Sun loungers are sparse around the pool area, and if you are lucky enough to get one you might not manage to get the accompanying cushion, not a dry one anyway due to them being left out in the December rain. And be cautious when walking between buildings if it has rained, as there is no drainage for rain water and no effort to push it away or make it easier to walk on the slippery ceramic tiles. The indoor pool is a paid extra, even when the outdoor pool is unusable due to cold weather and not heated. The indoor pool area itself is damp, musty, and frankly disgusting, any towels you receive are damp, small and likely have holes or torn threads — definitely not something you’d expect to pay extra for in a “luxury” resort. Whenever complaints were raised, the hotel team became aggressive and hostile, which made us extremely uncomfortable. Asking for a taxi felt like asking for the world, and despite the hotel listing stating they have concierge services, staff claimed they do not offer this. If you did raise complaints you were then singled out with “special” treatment and staff wouldn’t leave you be. You shouldn’t have to have attention brought to you in what is supposed to be an all-inclusive “5-star”. Overall, everything moves at a snail’s pace, staff lack basic manners, and I felt uneasy every time I ordered a drink because it genuinely felt like I was asking for too much. The hotel feels run-down, sad, and neglected, and requires significant work before it could even be considered 4-star, let alone 5-star. Most telling of all, we didn’t meet a single happy guest during our stay. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere.

Dissatisfied not a 5 Star Hotel and you do nt get All Inclusive even if you’ve paid for that package.Food and drink poor
So Disappointed nota 5 star hotel and definitely not All inclusive.Only certain drinks you can have and bad service.🙁☹️ Point number 1 On our first day Chris the porter friendly but when we got to our room wanted tip straight away we said we haven’t got any dirhams yet.He said have you any English money ! In the end he said later then. ! Well he didn’t wait long as soon as he saw us getting money at reception he came straight over and put his hand out.We were disguised and felt ambushed so we handed over 20 dirhams to which he replied you do know that’s only Afew dollars !! Point 2 You cannot get a drink of any kind until 11 am and not after 11pm and then you can only get certain drinks even on Xmas day the special cocktail they made cost 100 dirhams each ! Shocking we payed for All inclusive. In the restaurant if you have wine it’s as if they are rationing you as they just pour a quarter of a wine glass full and you have to keep asking and asking to get more. Point 3 Food once again not All inclusive as the pool bar just served what was left over from the main restaurant every day. You could have something off the menu but you had to pay extra so if you wanted say chips and a burger or a sandwich you had to pay extra.WHY we were All Inclusive !! Point 4 We came for Xmas so yes it’s low season but the hottubs were closed off.The upstairs terrace was closed off the library was shut. Entertainment is on it advertised well if you call a lady singer who sings for half an hour then puts a CD on and another night a game of guess the music then the Managers need to re assess what there doing. And on Xmas Day no Entertainment and you are having many different cultures at your hotel so you need to cater for them all. Point 5 Food in the main restaurant is barely luke warm.I have had diahorrea. and sickness for 3 days after eating a lasagne that was practically cold but all the food is like this and this is right from the restaurant opening at 7.30. This hotel is for seniors not young people. We are in our 60’s but this place is like an old people’s home. Genuinely managers and there are a lot of you go to other All Inclusive 5 Star hotels and see how they do it as you yourselves need re training on customer service as when a guest is speaking to one of your restaurant staff you should not be rude and send them off doing something else as you make that guest feel unwelcome and please remember some of your guests speak your language and so don’t appreciate what is being said about them. Last of all condition of our room 2161 see pics broken kettle, broken sliding doors, chipped cup, marks all over the walls hate to think what they are next to toilet.Really needs a good clean and a paint.Glass tops on small tables not fastened on just generally dated but wee done to the cleaners as they do the best with what they have.Old worn towels and bathrobes once again Not 5 Star.

Disappointing Experience
I have traveled to over 30 countries, and without exaggeration, this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Jaal Riad Resort is completely out of touch with modern hospitality and operates more like a dated boarding house for retirees than a hotel. I stayed here for four nights, and every single day was unpleasant. If you are young, social, or traveling for fun or adventure, do not make the mistake of booking this place. The property is rundown and poorly maintained—cracked walls, outdated rooms, and a total lack of basic amenities. No microwave. No pressing iron. Instead, they conveniently withhold these basics so they can nickel-and-dime guests for extra fees. The breakfast area is equally embarrassing, with birds freely pecking at food, which says everything about their hygiene standards. On top of that, the hotel enforces absurd, restrictive rules, including a curfew on visitors—who are only allowed to sit in the lobby like schoolchildren being monitored. To make matters worse, the staff behavior is unacceptable. Three of my friends who traveled from America and Nigeria for the AFCON game were publicly embarrassed by the hotel’s staff for no valid reason. One staff member in particular, Suffian, repeatedly attempted to extort money at every opportunity. I formally reported this to management, only to discover that they were more interested in covering for him than addressing the misconduct, despite the fact that I have recordings to support my claims. This hotel is overpriced, poorly managed, restrictive, and deeply unprofessional. It offers none of the comfort, service, or value one expects from a legitimate resort. Final warning: If you are a young traveler, save yourself the frustration and book an Airbnb instead. This place is a grossly overpriced facility that runs like a missionary home, not a hotel.

Disappointing
Although we had a relaxing time, the Jaal Riad Resort was a very disappointing. And thankful that we had only booked a week. We were actually ready to go home after 5 days! The staff were all lovely, but we felt the senior management were very poor. We felt that some were not interested in the guest experience, many people were complaining about the choice of food, the food being cold and food supplements. There were supplements for using the indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzis. There are many supplement charges for food, even in the snack bar. We did have a meal in “The Cat” Italian restaurant, it wasn’t anything special, but we did pay approx £50 in food supplements. Apart from the restaurants, there was only one other place at a time open to get a drink, either the O2 pool snack bar (11:00-18:00) or “The Stay” bar (19:00-23:00) Being December there were plenty of sun beds. However, we could imagine there being a shortage during busier times. Our holiday was booked with Jet2, and our holiday rep was fantastic. Any problems and she was immediately on the case. It was just the resort itself that was disappointing. The senior management need to visit other all inclusive hotels and see where they are lacking. Previously, we have stayed in Rui All Inclusive resorts around the world, and our lesson has been learn’t not to stay anywhere else. Just to say, some guests who were leaving a couple of days after we arrived did mention that previously the food had been lovely. Still with many supplements though.

Our 2nd visit after 4 month
After visiting as a family of 4 in July, myself and my husband came back in November for our anniversary. Again, what a beautiful time we had. The staff remembered us and we were treated with absolute courtesy . The staff are just THE BEST. Please, PLEASE ignore the negative, miserable comments. Just enjoy the wonderful hotel and its delightful atmosphere. It’s not a 5* hotel, and it’s pretty clear from the off that it isn’t by how much a stay is, but who cares - seriously!!! Aimem, Rania, moncif, Yousseff, all restaurant staff/ chefs. Lovely ladies that clean the rooms. And super Salim in the bar along with Nordine and the young lads serving. THANK YOU for making our stay so memorable once again. See you again in July when we return as a family of 4! And for those who moan and whine about this delightful hotel and want 5*++++++ then go to Beverley Hills instead !!!

This is our second visit. We brought our close friends this time around. We’ve loved it. The location is a good distance from the centre in a cheap 10 minute taxi journey. The atmosphere is both relaxing and lively. The rooms are good , cleaned everyday if wanted. The all inclusive is worth the money, we prefer the garden view over pool view. Noise levels vary around the resort. A lot of the staff are very friendly and helpful

Jaal Riad Stay
Just been to the Jaal Riad . Yes i had read some of the reviews and to some degree yes maybe but abit harsh . The aeroplanes do come across often but with the hotel very near to the airport that is expected . Probably abit of spruce up hear and there but not much. Room is great and cleaned often . Great base for going anywhere or super pool if you want to stay . No problem getting a sun lounger if required. As always you'll have the put the towel on brigade . Found the food good , although abit on the cold side but there is a microwave . Must say a special thankyou to Aimen and the young lady who helped us tremendously and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable . Will be staying there again .

Lovely hotel
We booked this through jet2 and we’re not disappointed. We read many negative reviews before departing but it certainly didn’t put us off. We were more than happy with the food every day as even though some dishes might have reappeared there was alot of choice. Arguably some of it could have been hotter. The Terraz restaurant was very good. Waiting staff were pleasant but sometimes slow to serve or show interest if you wanted more wine or water. The Rose wine was the best. White tasted like vinegar. The bar was always busy and you had to queue but there were other areas you could take your drink and sit. Evening entertainment was varied and enjoyable. The room was clean and tidy and very spacious. We had no issues with house keeping apart from one day when the hand soap was not refilled and we had to ask reception. The pool was lovely and large and while the water was cold, once in and swimming you soon warmed up and it was worth it. The spa was lovely and the hamman treatment was spectacular. The only drawback was there was much dialogue in explaining every stage but it didn’t impact on the experience. We did some trips with jet2 and through Viator and were impressed every time - pick up and drop off at the hotel. We did take a taxi to the city. Concierge was helpful in hailing one from over the road, however the driver didn’t speak much English and decided not to drop us where he’d been directed and instead dropped us outside his mate’s shop in the city. We didn’t go in and walked off to where we had wanted to go but he warned. The area was pleasant - a lot of construction got by on - but we walked round the block a few times and took in the shops including a supermarket. Look out for the birds - they fly round the restaurant and the corridors. Quite sweet bit some people may not like that.

Never Again
Please take note: this hotel is never a 4 star + hotel, at best 3 star. the hotel was very tired, dark and dismal, the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable, we had to request additional cleaning of the bathroom and balcony. There was always the smell of drying in the toilet. With regards to food, oh my word, Luke warm coffee and food, if you like stews you were OK, we were served the same soup for 4 out of 7 days. The sweets were always the same oranges, pommegranit , and the same cake selection. Waiter service was not very good, With regards to the bar, service stopped at 11pm, and on one night no beer was available. One concern was that many of the floor tiles with inside and outside the hotel were broken and or cracked. Whilst the outside area of the hotel was a really nice set up, the pool was very cold, you could use the indoor pool for a charge of £25. The pool towels were a bit threadbare as were the dressing gowns in the room. At outside pool bar you had to pay for several menu items, this is not an all inclusive package. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. On the plus side the beds were comfortable, and we did have an issue with our luggage, which with the help of Amien who is absolutely brilliant was resolved. FAX

November Short Break
Had a lovely 5 night break with my partner, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. We stayed on an all inclusive basis but when we booked we’re not aware that the heated indoor pool was not included which was a bit of a let down. Food can be a bit hit and miss and we found the lunchtime buffet menu was much better than the evening. We only ate at the pool bar one lunchtime but surprised that some things on the menu you had to pay for. You could get a chicken burger with the all inclusive but not a beef burger or a Caesar salad. The all inclusive drinks were good especially the beer and the red and white wine. We definitely got our moneys worth when it came to the drinks. Room was beautiful and very clean, bottled water left every day, massive big bed, lovely shower with really nice toiletries. We never had to get up early for a sun lounger there was plenty available. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would consider coming back to the hotel for some winter sunshine.

Not a 4/5 star hotel
This is part 1 of the review as we are currently still staying at the hotel. Issues: 1: The food choice within the hotel, the same things every day for breakfast lunch and dinner . 2: Hard the find a clean prep table that’s not being used 3: Staff are warm and friendly, but sadly management not so and don’t welcome a women’s view of how a 5 star hotel should be. 4: Rooms are noisy, doors banging and you can hear people talking in the hallways, not a peaceful relaxing place to stay. 5: Many many hidden extras, for food, drink, swimming pools and towels! As in some all inclusive hotels occasionally they charge for premium brands of alcohol, this is one of them. If you only want a snack for lunch instead of going to the restaurant, beware you will have to pay as food at this time as you are required to dine in the restaurant. But in saying that the pool restaurant isn’t all inclusive many items are not included like the Caesar salad or a burger you need to pay for no matter the time. Towels for the pool are not included you are required to pay 200 dirham per towel, Coming later in the season means the sun isn’t so strong so the outside pool doesn’t get warm. You’d be right in thinking that’s ok the hotel has an indoor pool, but guess what you are required to pay to use this!! Today is my birthday and are booked into the hotels Italian restaurant, I wonder where extra will be in store for us there…… part 2 come…..

We were on a golf trip, 8 of us in 4 twin rooms.
8 of us, on a golf trip, 4 twin rooms. Hotel is beautifully designed, with many seating areas and quiet spots to hide away. The room was spot on, nice shower and spacios separate toilet. Wifi worked well. Taxis were easily available. Staff around the reception were helpful. Staff in the restaurant needed a little bit of cajoling at evening meal to bring some wine to the table. Cleaning and bar staff were good. I will go into a little bit more detail regarding the food, seeing as we were all inclusive. The main bar was great - good service. Food - the choices at evening meal could have been better.. I get the feeling that unless you were there as it opened, the choice and amount diminished as the evening went on. (Note* we would arrive at 7.45- 8pm). Cold starters (salads etc) were good but you often had to cobble a main meal together, ie mash would have been nice, but there isnt any, so rice will have to do. We only had lunch once and that had a great selection. It may be that as it was late in season they wound it down a bit - I don't know. We booked one of the two a la carte restaurants for one of the nights. It was the Italian. We went up there, and it was in darkness. Not a soul. We all laughed about it, but we never did get our meal there as we only had one night left and had other plans. The afternoon bar and snacks by the pool were great, ideal. Breakfast for me is simple, however, an item that they had in the beginning of the week disappeared and never came back. Oh well. I booked a massage. - spot on. Would I come again - yes. If I read reviews after this that the evening meal is better than I described, that would help.

The best experience
No Chat GPT here just straight from the heart. I travelled to Marrakesh twice and stayed in the Jaal Riad resort on both occasions. The fact that I came back a second time speaks volumes. The first time I came was in July 2025 for 9 nights with my family (yes my 24 year old daughter and 19 year old son decided to invite themselves 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣). We had such a fantastic time that by day 8 I was so depressed that we had to leave so we extended the stay for a few more days. We said we would be back and this time myself and my wife Pina came this month for 5 nights to celebrate our 25 years of Marriage. Our experience was even better the second time round. Why do I love the Jaal Riad so much. One word the STAFF. The staff are amazing. Very friendly and cater to your needs. What did it for me was a lot of the Staff remembered our names. The food this time round was even better than the last time. Yousseff the chef made some fantastic curry dishes 10 out of 10 that butter chicken was amazing. Foulouh from the Pool bar was very helpful. Simo Christ and ayah and Jabal in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. A special mention to Monciff in the restaurant, always made sure we were catered for. Rannie, Khaleid and Aimen at reception were always friendly and helpful. A special mention to the bar staff. Salem and Noredine. These guys are amazing. Great craic and banter with them and are amazing at their jobs. Young Amin and Whalid are very friendly and helpful at their jobs in the bar. The cleaner that cleaned our room had the place spotless. Great job. I’ve already booked to come back in July 2026 with the family for 12 nights and more than likely do a few days in March 2026.

Read the previous reviews!
I read many reviews before staying here and wish I had listened! This hotel is not a 4 or 5-star resort by any standard. It has potential but is in serious need of refurbishment - from the cracked pool tiles to the tired, worn-out bedrooms. Cleanliness & Condition: The pool area is poorly maintained — no tables, plastic glasses scattered around, and dilapidated sunbeds. The pool itself was freezing, definitely not inviting. My mattress was faded, and the towels were dirty and threadbare (and yet they ask for a deposit for them!). The rooms felt unhygienic, and I'm glad I had my own wipes. Service: The service is almost non-existent. Our safe didn't work, and it took me three trips to reception before anyone fixed it. When we asked about a late checkout, we were told the hotel was full. Food & Drink: The breakfast experience was poor. On our first morning, there was no explanation about what was on offer (which wasn't much anyway). The "meet and greet" staff preferred chatting to colleagues instead of helping guests. Breakfast mainly consisted of pastries and bread. The bar menu had no prices or descriptions, and there was no one collecting rubbish around the pool. You'll find beer and gin, but no idea of the brand or measure. Atmosphere: The music around the pool felt like being on hold at a doctor's office — repetitive and annoying. When a group of Italian guests arrived, suddenly there were more managers than teaspoons, so clearly staff attention depends on who's staying. Other annoyances: * Key card stopped working before check-out time * No tables by the pool No sense of 5-star service or standards To qualify as a true five-star hotel, a property should deliver luxury, service, and attention to detail — all of which were sorely missing here. Bottom line: This hotel could be amazing, but right now it's a long way from five-star quality. Aimen was a real front face for customer service, but when I showed him the dirt in the bedroom nothing was actioned. The response for the his review will be the standard of all the previous, and no action takes place- just words!!!! What a shame.

Nice to be back
Wonderful hotel with a beautiful room (deluxe pool view), spacious and comfortable. Lovely bathroom, although it lacks a magnifying mirror. The pool is superb and huge, with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. The staff are cheerful, kind, and efficient. The breakfast buffet is generous and varied. As for the other meals, there’s a good selection, though a bit repetitive. There’s a lack of fruit options at lunch and dinner, although there are many excellent pastries. It would be nice to have yogurt, fromage blanc, ice cream… or simply some cheese. Thank you so much to Aimen and Rhania for your warm hospitality. This is my second time staying at the hotel, and everything was great — just a small note that the mirror in the room could use replacing.

Wonderful experience and topnotch staff
Spent a wonderful few days until I got terribly ill. The hotel staff, especially Aiemen were phenomenal in taking care of me. He checked in on me every 2 hours, ensuring that I had everything that I needed even when he had gone off duty for the evening. First thing in the morning, he was back to check in on me and arranged a late check out as I needed to rest before my flight back. Aiemen is absolutely an asset to the resort and will highly recommend this resort. Customer care and satisfaction was always top of mind. Fantastic resort, staff and facilities.

Wonderful Week at the Jaal Riad
Booked through Jet2 on an All Inclusive Plus package. Firstly, I want to say that I do not recognise the hotel based on the previous negative comments about the Jaal Raid. My partner and I had a fantastic week, totally relaxed and recharged our batteries. We were in Room 1040, 14/10 - 21/10. We arrived around midday and were warmly welcomed and served mint tea while completing the check in process. Our room wasn't quite ready so were invited to take lunch in the main restaurant. The hotel is beautiful and kept so clean - saw staff cleaning every area, every day. Obviously housekeeping will always prioritise room changes before daily visits and we had no problem with our room being refreshed later in the day. We enjoyed the food - lots of variation and happy to say an absence in the restaurant of "british staples". I simply don't understand how anyone would be moaning about the food unless of course you are looking for burger and chips at every meal. Some things were not to my taste but I always give everything a go. The staff were lovely - took our drinks order immediately and poured water for us. Both waiting and kitchen staff greeted us at every meal. Pool bar staff worked hard and were constantly busy but still managed good service. Food was good and only a few items had a surcharge for those on AI. The pool area is kept very clean and there were enough sunbeds to go around - you will always find people putting towels out at 5am wherever you stay. The evening bar was great - brilliant atmosphere and a good selection of drinks and the female singer had a wide repertoire. The karaoke was hilarious - we found that not all Italians can sing "Volare" :D I had a very enjoyable and relaxing session in the Spa - Hamman and Massage. The price a little less than here in UK. People have mentioned the noise from the planes - we really never noticed the planes until the Saturday which seems to be a very busy day and a different flight path but after a few cocktails, we forgot about them. The location is outside of the city centre in an area of development. There is a shopping mall about 10 mins walk away with a range of shops and a supermarket. The stand out for us is definitely the staff team across the hotel. Everyone was friendly, helpful and clearly wanted us to enjoy our holiday. I want to say a special thanks to Rania for all her kindnesses and going the extra mile and the same for Salim in the evening bar - what an entertainer!

Interesting holiday
Jet2 Holiday. Lovely looking hotel with variable attitude and helpfulness of reception staff including the more senior personnel. Individual staff through the hotel also varied in pleasantness from extremely helpful and friendly to uncommunicative/miserable. Food mostly looked ok (we were B&B) but let down by the availability of plates, cutlery and mugs. Dishwasher not working properly (mugs stained and grubby). Had an excellent meal in the Cat restaurant and a good one in the Moroccan restaurant. Bedroom/bathroom very clean and serviced daily. Pool area very pleasant. The hotel is under the flight path from the nearby airport so was noisy outside at times. All in all a good holiday. We had pre-booked a couple of trips - a walking tour of Marrakesh and to Essaouira which were both excellent. A third trip we cancelled - exhausted after 4.30am Airport check.

This was my first solo trip to Marrakech and my first time in Morocco, and as a younger girl travelling alone, I couldn’t have felt more looked after thanks to Julien. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel so welcome and comfortable — always checking in with me throughout the day and even in the evenings to make sure I was okay. She’s genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and went above and beyond for every guest. Her warmth and care honestly made my time a million times better and turned what could’ve been a nerve-racking solo trip into such a special experience. The food was lovely, and the bar staff were so friendly in the evenings, always creating such a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The hotel itself is beautiful, but it’s the people — especially Julien who truly make it unforgettable. ❤️

Jaal Riad, Marrakesh. A real mixed bag, hopefully not to be repeated.
Billed as a 4* resort, it is most certainly not. Our deal was advertised as an “All Inclusive Plus” entity, hmm it was most certainly NOT. Now, while we did have a most welcome good restful holiday, it had its stressful and disappointing moments. The ‘hotel experience’ was more 2-3 star. The location is okay, little around the place but it’s only ten minutes to the city. The establishment looks fine on the surface and the rooms ‘okay’ but bathrooms etc a little tired and in need of refurbishment. The pool and public spaces are pretty good although they could do with a few more beds and parasol covers although the latter would be more of an impediment for the true sun worshippers. The staff are friendly but the obvious need for better training and management is evident in every corner of the place. Staff are slow, less than attentive, tend to consult their phones rather than the customers and gather in packs while tables need cleaned and set. The management by large seem to be ineffective with a couple of exceptions. When the ‘suited’ boss was present in the restaurant, the staff seemed to move quicker. The actual eating experience however leaves a LOT to be desired. Regardless of how early or late we had breakfast, we had to set our own table by scavenging from others where a place setting hadn’t been used. The breakfast selection looked extensive but it was simply countless versions of the same thing, few of which were appetising to any degree. The juices are coloured water, the semolina soup is repulsive, no cereals, berries, nuts, oats or seeds. The lunch experience was worse still. Leftovers from the previous dinner service, dry, overcooked again, far from appetising. When we took the time to mention this, we were told that they would prepare us something. Kinda missed the point of mass catering. We tended to eat at the pool bar but a couple of weeks of burgers and sandwiches does not a healthy diet make. The Pool Bar? This was where we first found we had a different definition of ‘All Inclusive’. In the first instance we were told that from when it opened at 11am unto 1430, we had to pay for any food or snacks and the “free food” (yes, they dared to call it free food), was only served after 1430. This caused great consternation among the many guests of all nationalities. I should also note that this was not advised either before or during check in. Oh and some items on the menu eg a beef burger came complete with a £10 surcharge regardless of the time or guest status. The staff at the pool bar seemed a bit more alert than the other restaurant. Perhaps they simply had time to wake up. Dinner service : much like the breakfast and lunch experience but again, the staff seemed a little more awake and attentive. There is a very definite need for training and I refer not only to the floor staff but to the management themselves. The choice and quality of the food on offer differed wildly for day to day. The one highlight of our week was the Asian evening where the cook in charge of ‘curries’ was allowed to make a couple. They should be mandated by law never to be allowed to make Sushi. It was poor poor poor and so rubbery you could play ping pong with the stuff. I’m sure the chicken casserole thing was simply topped up daily much like the courgettes three ways. Not a bad salad bar but not great either (though it was missing some essentials most hotels tend to get the salad bar (and breakfast bar for that matter) right, but not the Jaal Riad, mediocre. The Bar area is exceptional as are the bar staff. It has a great old world ambience and service is cheery and efficient. The single complaint would be that even the alcoholic cocktails in them BUT if requested the guys will make them to order. 10/10 to the bar for service and attitude. Back to the ‘All Inclusive’ definition. Our deal allowed us to frequent one of the two A’la’carte eating establishments per week of stay. First was the Italian which was well appointed, lovely staff and a good menu. The lighting could have been more mood inspiring though, ie it was lit like a works canteen. The food chosen was excellent proving that they did have competent cooks on the premises. However, alongside possibly 60% of the menu items there was a price. This was the supplement to be paid and ranged from £6-£12. Now pay attention, that wasn’t the price but the supplement. All inclusive deals in my experience are just that, all inclusive. The price being already paid up front, there is nothing more to pay unless you want top shelf drinks or perhaps room service. The second speciality restaurant was the Moroccon and this was ‘okay’. Again, supplements were featured against the most desirable items on the menu and did I mention the wines on offer at £50/bottle. The ‘free’ wine had to be specifically requested. The constant use of the term free by the staff was infuriating. And then at last, we found ourselves at checkout and unlike check in, there were no welcoming smiles or even a begrudged good morning. We get a better reception at our local supermarket. Supplement bill paid, towel deposit cards provided we made our way to the airport leaving the hotel experience in our dust. Now, Private Transfer? We were picked up at the airport by a chatty local, taken to the airport in a spotless people mover and couldn’t fault the attitude de or service provided. Back to the airport, much like the checkout we were shown to a pretty dirty small vehicle that I suspected was a local taxi, the driver didn’t utter a word and delivered us much like an Amazon parcel left on your doorstep. Now, relieved to be at the airport, we completed the hurdles of check in, security and immigration to find ourselves in a very well, if expensive departure lounge. Having been too early for breakfast at the hotel we both had a sandwich (different fillings) and my wife not much later found herself ‘losing’ hers on the plane and trying to cope with cramps, nausea and a temperature which lasted another 24 hours. We had a great time but won’t be heading back to the Jaal Riad any time soon. One last comment. If you find yourself there, DO NOT take the arranged tour around Marrakech. This cost us £108 and we could have had a much better experience, tour and food etc had we taken a taxi there and back at less than half the price. We did meet some nice folks though. Thankyou, happy travels.

Lovely property
We had one night here before our week in Club Med. it was very convenient as we arrived on a late flight. The place is lovely and the ambiance a delight. Although the bar was closed when we arrived, we were able to get a much needed drink there. Breakfast was fine but there was quite a bit of grumbling by other guests about poor service. Not a problem for us but you are literally locked out at 10.30 so don’t expect anything after that - not even a top up. They have a towel on bed culture here which I really don’t like. Guests were out there incredibly early grabbing the best beds which they left empty for hours. No shortage of beds though. It is on the flight path which does impact the otherwise tranquil atmosphere. A very good choice if you need to be near the airport as it is less than 10minutes in a taxi.

A Lovely Stay at Jaal Riad – Authentic, Relaxing, and Welcoming
My husband and I stayed at the Jaal Riad Resort between 11–16 October, and we had an amazing, memorable experience from start to finish. From the airport pickup to our arrival at the hotel, every staff member made a wonderful impression. The taxi driver, the receptionists, and the porter were all incredibly friendly and polite, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. The resort itself is stunning—designed to resemble traditional Moroccan riads with tasteful modern extensions. This was a huge plus for us, as we wanted to immerse ourselves in the country’s unique architecture, culture, traditions, and cuisine. Each room is beautifully and uniquely decorated, and the resort offers plenty of quiet corners for those seeking peaceful, reflective moments with loved ones. The bars, pools, and evening entertainment were all excellent. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently welcoming, helpful, and kind. Special thanks to Julien and the hotel managers, as well as the restaurant and bar teams. The waiters and waitresses were magnificent—always smiling, attentive, and eager to help. We were keen to explore traditional Moroccan cuisine, and we were delighted with what was offered. A special moment for me was when, thanks to a tip-off from my husband, the restaurant staff surprised me with a birthday song and a beautifully baked mini cake with a candle. It was such a thoughtful gesture and truly made my day. Our excursions to the old and new Medina, the Agafay desert for quad biking, camel rides, and dinner in a tent were unforgettable highlights of our trip. There are so many staff members I’d love to thank personally, but I unfortunately didn’t catch all their names. Everyone—from reception to the bars and restaurants—was exceptional. I will definitely return to Marrakech and wholeheartedly recommend Jaal Riad Resort to friends and family. Kindest Regards Mrs. Yetty Ejere

Lovely stay
We stayed at the Jaal Riad from 3-10 October and had a great experience. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and polite, french is the second spoken language but most do speak English. First impression of the hotel was beautiful, the overall design and keeping with traditional Moroccan architecture with modern uplifts was really eye catching and gave personality to the resort. The rooms were lovely and had a feeling of Moroccan authenticity with the attention to detail in decor. The maids cleaned the rooms daily, replenished the towels and left fresh bottles of water. We were all inclusive which we enjoyed, the breakfast there was plenty to choose from and didn't feel overwhelmed with too many options, lunch was salad based with some hot dishes and dinner was predominantly Moroccan themed but lovely. We tried the Moroccan restaurant in the hotel which was really nice, food was lovely and staff within were attentive. The Italian restaurant was not Italian food we would expect in Britain but I assume a Moroccan take on Italian so limited options and in my opinion the pizza was a bit bland. The pool area was big, clean and well maintained. We had no issue getting a sun bed in the morning or mid afternoon. The food at the pool restaurant was lovely and staff were friendly. The only thing that slightly bothered me was a few days into our holiday there was a convention for french companies within the hotel and the red carpet was rolled out which is fair enough, but we did notice an uplift in variety of foods, drinks and overall entertainment around the hotel. Being all inclusive this did slightly bother me as it shouldn't take any form of convention for the hotel to make maximum effort but it didn't dampen our holiday. Id stay at the Jaal Riad resort again.

This resort was definitely not the 5 star experience that we were anticipating more like 2 to 3
Prepare yourself for a long review. Positives: It was wall to wall sunshine most days, very hot at 39 and 40c, and that is about it. We arrived at 22:15 after a delayed flight from Bristol with Easy Jet. Too late to get anything to eat but that was fine. We were taken up to the room ours was 2144, and upon first glance the room looked fine. The balcony was tiny overlooking the pool with just one chair and a small table. Room: Air conditioning - we were unable to really get it too be cooler but it meant that we just left it on all the time. We had a comfy bed and good pillows, clean sheets. Fridge in the room and water bottles left each day. Cleanliness: The room was not cleaned to a good standard, the mirrors in the bathroom and the wardrobe were filthy, the surfaces were not wiped clean and the floor was not swept. It was mopped we think as you could see footprint marks that had dried. We had to keep asking for clean towels, as they would take away our towels, (even though we had not put them on the floor for changing), but then they were not replaced in time, bearing in mind this is late in the afternoon/early evening when you want to take a shower. I called reception and asked for towels, which were brought reluctantly to the room by a female manager, and I was asked if I had left them by the pool!! I advised not as we had pool towels, (there is a charge of 400 Dinah but you get this back when you return the towel card at checkout) she then asked to take a look in the bathroom, not sure what the point of this was, but I agreed and once she had looked in the bathroom she handed me the towels. Perhaps they have had an issue with people thieving the towels? The worst part about our room is that we had a number of COCKROACHES and when I say they were big, I mean they were huge. I had more than a few screaming moments, especially when using the hand soap in the bathroom, as I pressed the soap one fell onto the sink area and ran like a speeding bullet. We disposed of 5 all in all. We had reported the cockroach problem to reception and they said they would put spray down but they never did as nothing was moved around on the floor. Restaurant was not overcrowded and we always found a table, the waiting staff were very polite. Tables were clean, a choice of meals that were quite repetitive, and some were really tasty, however what was not good was the fact that what should have been hot food was lukewarm at best and sometimes just cold . Sparrows in the all inclusive buffet area , with nothing to stop them flying in or a cover and you know what birds do naturally,,,, yes exactly just above the dishes uncovered. Breakfast was fine but disappointed there was no cereal offering with milk. The pastries were absolutely delicious, but they same everyday. Fruit choice was melon and sliced oranges, every day. No bananas or other fruit to choose. Pool bar: If you were 'all inclusive' you had to wait until 2:30 in the afternoon to be able to order food, and some choices e.g. beef burger came with a supplement. If you wanted to pay full whack to have food earlier then you could order from 12 and pay for it. The poolside pastries were put out at 4pm BUT we never ate a thing from this table as they were all left uncovered and I am not exaggerating when I say there are about 20 sparrows or more feeding off the plates and sitting in the roof space right above the food, and as I mentioned before you know what birds do naturally and we saw it land on the food yuck! The pool bar staff apart from one older waiter were extremely rude, unless you were maybe French or Russian and their customer service improved greatly for some strange reason. Large pool area which was very welcome to cool off in, but the sunbeds mostly were wooden and old and practically falling apart. In the morning you had to wait for the millions of ants to disappear. The covers were filthy. No poolside service apart from one day we saw some waiters come around with some drink and some fruit on a stick. Evening bar, didn't have to queue long for a drink but the drinks were very weak in taste. I drink Smirnoff vodka, but I could hardly taste it. I asked for a baileys as i had seen it poured for one customer but was told that it was at a price, which I can understand. The white wine was OK and not too acidic. The rose was also quite pleasant. We booked and ate in the al a carte Italian- the food was very nice but we ended up paying a supplement on our 2 starters and one main meal (£30) which you don't really expect but the server did point this out when we ordered. We booked a trip with easy jet, to go into Marrakech for an evening to have a guided tour and a meal with entertainment. £43 pounds each. The transport was 30 minutes late arriving which was fine as we had a downpour that afternoon. The traffic was just a nightmare no lanes, I literally was scared out of my skin. For some this might be a fab experience but for us it was just awful. We couldn't wait to leave and get back to the resort. We kept our room on from 12-5pm as we had a late pick up it cost us 800 Dinah around £65. It was worth it not to have to wait around the resort. We booked this holiday with easy jet and paid £2,100 for 2 people for one week with an upgraded pool view room, so I suppose that to expect 5 star standard for the price was a bit naïve of us, as they say you get what you pay for. I know that some reviews give glowing praise, so some people might think we are being picky but I don't and I have really given my honest opinion. If we knew what it was going to be like then I would have cancelled the holiday . We were looking forward to sampling Moroccan tagine food and we were glad that it was not going to be a brit all inclusive experience but it wasn't for us. We won't be going back to the Jaal Riad. Finally I don't need the management team to comment as they have done on previous reviews, as it won't change anything. If there was one thing they could change is to put a microwave in the restaurant so that you can heat up your food to your liking if you like your food served hot.

Cosy and nice riad
Good location, rooms are a little basic. I didn't like the rooms very much as they aren't very traditionally moroccan. Ok

Perfect place to stay, for friends or couples. We’ve stayed here many times now and it’s like coming to see friends. Rania at the reception is especially kind and welcoming to guests and makes you feel so glad to be staying at Jaal. Everything is clean and the food is great.

Best 4 night holiday so far
Just a short drive from the airport we arrived at the Jaal Riad. What a welcome we got. Our rooms we absolutly luxurious, clean and the bed was huge. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Regarding the food, its not UK so dont expect fish n chips, english breakfast. Just enjoy the Morocan cuisine, with French influences. I cannot recomend the hotel enough. I cant remember the names of the staff individually, but they were all fantastic. We booked a private trip into marraakesh with the hotel which was fantastic, our guide took us to places we wouldnt have been able to find. The evening entertainment was great in the bar. Thankyou Jaal for such a wonderful holiday. xxxx

Disappointing
Very disappointed in this hotel. This is not a 5* I believe Jet2 have now lowered the rating on this hotel since I booked. On arrival we had to wait to check in. At first glance the rooms looked spacious, but once we started looking around it was clear it wasn’t a 5*. The toilet was dirty, the grout around the sink was coming away and there was mold in the bathrooms. The pool toilets were disgusting. Some had no toilet paper, there were toilets that wouldn’t lock, broken light switches, broken toilet flushes. There were not enough sun beds. Some of the sun beds were broken, and all of the cushions on the sun beds were filthy, clearly never been washed. Some tiles around the pool were broken. The breakfast buffet was good, lots of options. However the staff on the hot food counter were rude. For lunch the pool bar was the better option, food was freshly cooked. The evening buffet was inedible, I was looking forward to the traditional food, but when I tried the food it was extremely dry and overcooked. Trying to book into the à la carte was extremely difficult. We kept getting told to come back in a few hours and book. Eventually we got a table, and the restaurant was empty (this was something we heard off a lot of quests). The service in the à la carte was slow, and once again the food was awful. Not worth trying to get in. The queues for the bar are ridiculous, the hotel is not set up for the amount of guests. If you want to drink outside of an evening it’s very difficult to get a seat. Lots of people just sat on the walls around the outdoor seating area. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Jaal Riad hotel Marrakech. Amazing
The Jaal Riad is a stunningly beautiful Moroccan hotel, showcasing traditional Islamic architecture with the finest attention to detail. The high ceilings and elegant design create an immediate sense of grandeur. Our room was spacious, with a large comfortable bed and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were consistently courteous and welcoming. Special thanks to Abdul, the personal trainer, who was outstanding; Julien, the entertainment coordinator, who was always attentive; and the concierge, who offered excellent advice for our excursions beyond the hotel. The gym exceeded expectations — much larger than the photos suggest — and equipped with the latest Technogym machines. The spa facilities were superb, and the outdoor pool was vast, surrounded by comfortable loungers perfect for unwinding. Dining was a highlight. The Cat restaurant served Italian dishes of Michelin-star quality, with excellent service. The buffet restaurant offered an extensive variety of options, while the Moroccan restaurant was among the most beautiful venues I’ve ever dined in. A special mention to Ishmael, whose service was exceptional. The only slight disappointment was that the food itself didn’t quite match the elegance of the setting. Overall, this is a truly beautiful 5-star hotel, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Marrakech.

Disorganised & Expensive
Beautiful setting, fabulous pool, very clean but extremely pricy. A bottle of water is 5euro compared to 50c outside the hotel! Food choices are limited and trying to get a table at one of the restaurants in the evening is difficult, it feels like the only real option is a very limited buffet. When we eventually got into one of the restaurants, after booking online we had to negotiate with reception to get us a table, then we had to wait 30 mins before we could sit down and then we had to wait 1 hour before our food arrived and the bill arrived to our table straight after our main course without option for desert. It was out last night and had hope for a special evening but it definitely wasn't, would recommend leaving the hotel to eat in the evenings otherwise you will be disappointed. The bar food is fine but very limited and expensive, there is a shopping mall 15 min walk with a food court, we found on last day. Food more reasonable and a nice change. The hotels advertises yoga but when I asked at reception I was sent to the spa and when I asked at spa I was sent back to reception. I asked again at reception and was sent back to the spa, at this point I gave up, really disappointed because I was expecting to do yoga on my holiday. They advertise discounts but we paid full price for all our food and spa treatments so not sure how you avail of the 30% discount in the spa, didn't seem to be available to us or the 15% discount in restaurants? There is no airport transfers, you need to get a taxi and there are no transfers to the medina you need to taxi if you want to go, taxis are easily booked at the front gate, a bit of haggling required for the return trip. I would have hoped for more for the price of this hotel!

Don’t believe the negatives
Having booked without reading the reviews, we were a bit concerned when we read the negative reviews but the concerns disappeared on arrival at the resort. We were met by Eamonn (hopefully spelt correctly) who was so friendly and helpful. Throughout our week, he was brilliant with his advice. Chris the porter was a good laugh and helpful too. We never had a problem getting a sun bed at any time of the day. The food in the main restaurant and the pool bar were very good and the service from Maunssif, manager at the main restaurant and Khadija and Ibrahime at the pool bar was great. We had a wonderful week and met some lovely people. Thank you to all the great staff. Would thoroughly recommend the Jaal Riad Resort.

The break we needed
Just back from a week's holiday at the Jaal Riad, Marakesh with my daughter. We booked with Jet2. They had representatives on site every other day, although we didn't need them. We were greeted on our arrival by the lovely reception staff, Aimon ( hope that's the correct spelling ) in particular, was a delight, and even showed us to our room. He was very helpful throughout our stay - he is a great asset and credit to you, Jaal Riad, don't let him go 😊 We were upgraded to a pool view room on arrival, it was clean and comfortable, and the housekeepers were in attendance every day. The food in the main restaurant was of local origin and plentiful - we had some fantastic pastries 🤭 The lunchtime snacks available at the poolside bar were a hit with us - try their Chicken Schwarma wrap, you won't be disappointed 😋 As part of our stay, we were able to eat at the on-site Italian restaurant - The Cat - the food, service, and ambience here was fantastic. Drinks were flowing from early until late and completelyacceptabletaste wise, but as with most all-inclusive places we have stayed at, if you want specific brands, you have to pay! The prices were very reasonable, though. We paid less than £5.00 for a double Malibu and Pineapple, and a doubleTanqueray & Tonic was about the same, we didn't make a habit of getting the "named" drinks but we did indulge on occasion 😀 The bar manager was a lovely chap and he did his own measures when pouring the drinks 🍸 we often had to tell him to give us a "smaller measure"... third world problems right there 😀 The pool was adequate and cleaned nightly, but this brings me to my only gripe - the sunbed situation needs attention. There aren't enough beds to accommodate everyone getting one - we witnessed a full-on row one morning between two ladies, one of whom had put towels on four beds and then went out for the morning!! There appeared to be animation and a pool team in attendance. Maybe they should be encouraged to remove "long stay towels" after a period of an hour or so? One shouldn't have to get up at 5.30 to ensure a spot in the sun! We didn't venture out of the resort other than to visit the local shopping mall, but we weren't ever intending to do much apart from rest, we both work hard and went to relax in the sun - which we did in abundance. Overall, we had a lovely time in this hotel, and we have both said that we would return to it at some point in the future.

Just ok and not a 5 star, you need to sort the sunbed situation
i use TA myself alot to decide on hotels etc, so only right i leave an honest review, I will start with the positives:- 1) The staff in general are a credit to the hotel and most are courteous and multi lingual (which is always embarrassing for me being a lazy single language Englishman) and happy to help in any way. 2) Rooms are kept well and cleaned daily with fresh towels 3) Food is acceptable, its all inclusive so unless fresh cooking station its likely to be tepid. (there were some complaints from guests but come on its all inclusive) 4) breakfast choice is ample, would of liked apple as a choice rather than just orange, but thats being picky 5) Location is good for a 10 minute transfer from the airport and 10 mins to Medina and the Budda Bar and Lepoard restaurant both well worth a visit. 6) the weather was hot sunny and dry :-) Ok now for the downsides :- 1) There are not enough sun beds for the amount of guests, so people think acceptable to get up at 6am put towels on their beds and go back to bed then to breakfast and finally to their beds at 10am! (spoke to a couple who had no beds for 4 days) Not sure how the hotel can eliminate this? 2) The a la carte we were entitled to one visit to each for a 4 night stay, we only managed to get into the Italian and that was a 9pm at a special request to the chef this btw was as soon as we arrived night one, we booked before even going to our room! annoying as we went there 8.40pm and only two other couples, didn't get to the Moroccan as "no space" in the 4 nights we were there. 3) The hotel is right under the flight path, so unless you are a comatose sleeper they start at 5.50am first wave and every 5-10 mins until 7.30 ish then go over during the whole day whilst at the pool 4) Its not a 5 star and nearer to a UK 3 star, theres a lot of work needed, the pool area is kept clean but the walking area has cracked flagstones and holes etc, the rooms have a lot of wear and my small window was actually screwed closed because there was no handle to close it. 5) There is one bar open during the day, same for evenings, so queues for drinks were sometimes ten deep, the lager was ok the wine was ok, but the spirits were weak and the cocktails really not worth sampling at all, as all tasted just like water. So the big question is would i recommend to F&F, if you are going for a few nights and you planned to go out and explore visit the Medina etc then yes and keep expectations low then go B&B but all inclusive is not worth it IMO

Beautiful hotel, but a few disappointments that sadly brings the score down.
The hotel itself is ideally located, very clean and visually beautiful. A couple of points you need to be aware of prior to booking; 1) There are not enough sun-beds to cover the residents if fully booked and people place towels on them from 5am. So expect to get up early if you want one. The hotels do not police the policy of not reserving sun-beds. 2) The food edible, but limited in variety and mostly Moroccan. For a 5star hotel this is disappointing. 3) Drinks are non-branded as you bc would expect from an all inclusive, but the premium options are very expensive to bc say the least. 4) Your on the airport fly path, so be prepared for noise. 5) Staff - generally good customer service, but The ones managing the main bar are unhelpful unless you are paying for drinks. 6) Late checkout - They didn’t honour our late checkout, as previously requested. And once you have checked out, they remove your band and you have to pay for drinks. If you have a long wait for the transfer, this is very mean. This is the only hotels this has happened to us in Marrakech. I would forgive more if the hotel wasn’t classified as a 5 star, but didn’t live up to expectations. So, I will summarise, the hotel is good but not excellent. Could have been much better 7)

Stay clear
Although the hotel itself was lovely, rooms spacious & clean, they were a bit tired. Restaurants understaffed, no attention to detail, food tepid & ran out quickly, not replenished. Staff that were on duty oblivious to guests. Ala carte Restaurants always full apparently, although 1 night only 3 tables in the Italian. No space by the pool, guests reserving sunbeds from 6am, card deposit for pool towel card £34. Drinks watered down. Complaints left, right & centre from guests. Overall very disappointed & would not recommend.

Feel Marrakesh Differently & that luxury feel
First time in Morocco, hotel is literally 15 minutes from airport and slightly under the flight path so be aware that there are sometimes planes flying overhead which can get noisy but this isn't an issue and you shouldn't be put off by it. The hotel is large but feels perfectly sized, its immaculate through out and highly maintained. I will simply start by saying its liking walking in to a museum dedicated to the architecture and history of Morocco, its stunning. Every where you look you take pics and every bar and reception area is beautiful and a nice place to be. Food was authentic and beautiful but be warned.... The food is very limited and mainly the same, if you want any type of English food then forget it. We enjoyed everything, it was hand cooked, freshly prepared and all tasted brilliantly but they did run out quite quick. People complained the food wasn't labelled which is true but there was three chefs there at all times walking around asking how we were. Location is good, short walk like 5 minutes to main shops and Carfeur shopping, taxi to main inner town is 15 minutes max. I would defiantly recommend this if you want an adult only couples stay, its beautiful and your made to feel special.

Honest review, very disappointed
On arrival everything looked good, stunning reception (although check in took a long time). Tui expressed no taxes, but then had to pay a city tax on arrival, equal to £40 for our stay week long stay. Room on first impression looked fine, but after looking around again in the morning, lots of things were not 5*. Balcony was very small, only just fit two people. Bathroom finished to a poor standard, cracks in both the toilet and bidet, balcony door did not lock. No coffee or tea at all during the whole stay, if your lucky this may have been replenished. Could not take tea/coffee from restaurant back to room. Food - luke warm at best, very limited choices, once something had run out it was not replaced, so if you did not get the special nights meal, then it was tough, you just had what was left over. Snack bar - is not all inclusive, you have to pay for a beef burger and other items on the menu. ? Tui do all inclusive, but Jet 2 do all inclusive plus, therefore a different colour wristband with different menu options for food and drinks ?.. Drinks - very very poor. we made a complaint online to Tui, (as no rep comes to this hotel), but was just fobbed off with Ai generated responses. Vodka was so bad, that when we asked for just neat, they panicked. we can only say it tasted nothing like Vodka. Sunbeds - were a joke, we had to become those people who set an alarm to get a sunbed. When others came down they were given mats to lie on the floor, totally unacceptable for a so called 5 star hotel. Staff - They were very unhelpful, looked miserable all the time. If your French or Moroccan then things were very different. Also our transfer back to airport never turned up, so had to get a taxi for return flight home. Overall we would not recommend this hotel, it was not in the city was outside, does not have 5 bars, all activities they offer you had to pay for along most other things, everything had a price. Definitely not a 5 star resort its a 3 at best. There are lots of other lovely hotels in Marrakesh, go to one of them.

With a few small tweaks this hotel could be better
The hotel is clean and well kept. 99.9% of the staff and helpful and friendly. Food is nice but would be better if kept warm, this did improve slightly during my stay. Coffee machines at breakfast are hit and miss if working. My tip would be to take tea / coffee with you for your rooms. Yes you do have to get up early to get a sunbed round the pool, I don’t know how they can stop this. It’s the same in many places I’ve stayed. There is a deposit required for pool towels which is easily returned at the end of your stay. There can be queues at the bars, pool and evening. This (I think) is because they are making cocktails rather than using pre-mixed.

Nice hotel, don’t believe poor reviews!
Stayed at end of August with my wife and daughter, I can see a few bad reviews from last week when we were there but disagree with these! The good points are:- Hotel is generally very clean and well maintained, some work going on in courtyard at present but doesn’t affect the holiday. Rooms are well sized and pleasant, a/c worked well and it was 36c for most of the time there, and bed was very comfortable! Only downside was that patio area is small on upper floors. Swimming pool is lovely, we went for breakfast at 09.00 every morning and always managed to get 3 beds under shade right by the pool, no problem! Yes, if you come down later than 10ish then the chances are the beds you’ll get will be on the peripheries, but generally there were enough beds to go around. Yes, some inconsiderate people put they’re towels out first thing and then don’t come back for hours, but if someone is looking I always tell them if no one has been there for 3+ hours! Snack bar by pool was nice with reasonable food. Vast majority of the staff were helpful and very pleasant, shout out to gentleman on main reception and the bar staff. Only people who I found who could do with some customer training were the two girls on the pancake/waffle stand tbh! Gym was surprisingly good, unfortunately I couldn’t use it as I’d had recent surgery No children!! Not so good points - Not disastrous but food was only average, there is an Indian station there, but had a strange selection. The buffet could do with some more variety, I love tagines, but apart from these the meat options were a bit limited. If you’re British and you want an English breakfast, you will be disappointed! Limited seating outside the bar area, especially in the evenings and they fill up very quickly after dinner. Zumba/aqua aerobics a bit noisy when they run these, if you want to avoid stick to the end of the pool by the restaurant as it’s further away from the speaker! Overall I think the hotel was very good value for money, friendly staff (in my opinion), close to airport for quick transfers, and close enough to the souks with a short taxi ride. Would definitely return!

All that’s missing is “Sticky Vicky”
One to avoid! Poor customer service. On arrival at this so called “5-star” hotel you are made to wear a fluorescent wrist band and then a separate “deposit by card is required” in order to get a pool towel. Unfortunately, there are limited sun-beds around the pool; towels on all of them with maybe only 50% being occupied (despite signage stating they cannot be reserved ?) That said, no one enforces the hotel policies. The same goes for ball games in the pool … seemingly encouraged by the hotel staff. Then there are the two cheesy music sessions playing simultaneously outdoors, all day long. Exhausting! It hardly conjures up the image of a peaceful Riad as described in the marketing literature, more like a “Club 18 - 30s” in Benidorm! I know I’m sounding negative but I’m struggling to find the positives. To give balance, the rooms are reasonable and the food so far has been OK.

Absolute Paradise – Stunning Riad, Incredible Food, and the Perfect Relaxing Escape
I stayed at Jaal Riad in Marrakesh with my adult daughter for 5 days in early August, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning – full of authentic Moroccan charm, with high ceilings, beautiful art, and the constant sound of birdsong throughout. Little sparrows are everywhere (especially at breakfast!) which adds to the charm, though a word of advice: don’t leave your food unattended or they’ll happily help themselves. The food was outstanding. The buffet is served three times a day, and every service was exceptional – adventurous Moroccan dishes alongside simpler options, all prepared to perfection. The fish-themed buffet was a highlight, and breakfast was a joy with freshly cooked omelets and piping hot Moroccan pancakes made to order. The pool bar food was fine, but it couldn’t compare to the quality of the main buffets. Drinks (cocktails, wine, beer, spirits) are all included, and the evening bar was simply beautiful. The pool is huge – essential when the temperature reached 42°C most days! Air conditioning in the rooms worked brilliantly, so escaping the heat was never a problem. Previous reviews about sunbed availability are misleading – we never had an issue finding a spot. The loungers are wooden with thick, high-quality mattresses, and there are also cabanas and sofas available. Best of all, there were no “towel wars” – no need to rush out early. The adult-only atmosphere meant everything felt calm, civilised, and wonderfully relaxing. The staff truly make this place special. Every single member of the team was warm, friendly, and couldn’t do enough to help. Their genuine hospitality elevated the whole experience. This hotel offers exceptional value for a high-end, all-inclusive experience. For anyone looking for a quiet, luxurious break with incredible food, excellent service, and a serene atmosphere – this is paradise. I cannot wait to return.

Really nice relaxing places with great staff that, with a couple of tweaks, could be better!
We stayed a week in July which was an unseasonable 46c lol so spent a decent amount of time in the hotel itself. The food isn't as varied as I've seen in other All Inclusives but I'm happy with that as there's less waste: it was always tasty, varied and we never had any issues. The room was really nice - the AC isn't that strong but it kept the room at an agreeable temperature. The only two things I'd suggest should be looked at are sunbed umbrellas - nowhere near enough and a lot of them are huge and fixed so you have to move during the day as the sun moves. And evening meal time isn't great - the restaurant doesn't open until 7.30pm and, as there's a bit of an older clientele here, a topic of much discussion was that 6pm or 6.30pm would be a better time - I've never stayed anywhere that opens that late for dinner.

A lovely stay at Jaal Riad Resort
What a lovely hotel to spend our weeks holiday at. We knew straight away when the minibus dropped us off that we were in for a treat. The outside of the hotel was clean, tidy, secure and very pretty. Moroccan style architecture and a pretty fountain full of rose petals. The inside did not disappoint and the warm welcome from reception was good. We were shown to our garden room promptly and could get settled to begin our holiday. If I have one slight criticism, we were not offered anything to drink after a long day's travelling and no information was given about the surrounding area. We were booked on a bed and breakfast deal so the only option we had really was to pay for the Asian buffet at the hotel. It was just about to finish so the food was tasty but cold and had been sat a while. The buffet was quite expensive and the price did not match what we got. Saying this however, the week just got better and better and can not fault the hotel or any of the staff. The room itself was decorated nicely, was cool in such hot weather due to the air conditioning, it had plenty storage and an amazing rain shower. Bed was very comfortable and we had a little courtyard area. Rooms were cleaned everyday, fresh towels, robes, slippers and two bottles of water were waiting on us when we got back. The hotel itself was very pleasant especially the pool area. No trouble getting a sunbed and parasol as long as I put towels and books down before breakfast. Like a previous review, we did notice that some people reserved sunbeds with towels but failed to show up till late afternoon. Thought this a bit cheeky- we only put towels down if we planned to spend the whole day there. Entertainment was enough and you can take or leave it. Water aerobics etc in the pool and a singer etc at night in the bar area. Used the spa for a Hammam ceremony. It was amazing, we had the mandarin one and the hair mask was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable area. Robes could of been a bit bigger. The day we were due to go home, we were allowed to keep our room till about 12.30 which was great. We ate in the poolside restaurant ready for the journey home and got free desserts which were amazing. Again whilst waiting in reception for our transfer, I thought maybe the offer of a drink would have been a nice touch as we had a while to wait and it was very hot. Overall, I would recommend Jaal Riad Resort, we had an amazing time and would love to revisit.

A fantastic honeymoon in Marrakech, at a fantastic resort!
We've just returned from our honeymoon in Marrakech and we can't praise the Jaal Riad Resort enough! We stayed for 8 nights and the staff were very friendly and helpful, we loved chatting to them and they were so kind and knowledgeable. Aiman and Khalid were especially lovely, they helped us a lot and made us feel so welcome and looked after! Our room was clean and more spacious than we thought it might be, and the air conditioning was amazing which was a big relief during the summer heat. The food was good, and the bar staff were generous and warm (they don't measure shots so the drinks were great, and Salim was very fun!). The pool is huge with plenty of space for everyone, and we always managed to find a couple of loungers free. I've seen a couple of reviews about the volume of the music being too loud but I never noticed this being a problem. There were plenty of activities on offer, and the resort can book trips/excursions for you that make the whole process effortless for good value. Special mention for one of the ladies who worked the main restaurant's desk, I'm so sorry that I didn't catch her name but she was teaching me some words in Darija, such as to say "Behir" if someone asks how you are! When we planned to go to the city's Medina we asked for some sightseeing tips or recommendations, and Aiman sat with us and a map and gave us a clear route to plan our sightseeing efficiently, which was fantastic! We noticed in Marrakech that the locals speak French far more widely than English and it could be quite challenging communicating with the locals, but the Jaal Riad staff speak English very well and it was always nice to come back from a day out and be confident that the staff knew what we meant! We felt genuine, warm bonds with the staff members who are so professional, and care deeply about their guests as individual people - not just tourists on a conveyor belt. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone planning to visit Marrakech, it is the perfect place to relax whether it's a day at the pool, at the on-site spa, or after a day out in the Medina, Ourika Valley or Agafay Desert! We miss the resort already, thank you all for everything!

Dont book this hotel .. far nicer hotels out there.
Just returned from this hotel yesterday, very disappointed, rude & ignorant staff, all inclusive plus is a rip off, We had all inclusive plus and couldn't even see what we paid extra for, We arrived at 10AM to be told our room wasn't ready until 2PM but on our own investigation we found the room was ready well before! It's that silly that the food from the pool bar has a supplementary charge, something as simple as a burger costs £8! (wasn't even that nice). Many other guests ordering McDonalds or Burger King. Speaking to other guests who also agreed the food was very poor at this hotel. Some drinks have supplement charges (even though we were 'plus'). Exchanging money to Moroccan on a stupid rate that is way lower than the actual exchange rate, a charge of £40 to change your money back to GBP after an argument to even get them to change it back. The food is poor with hardly any choice, Spa prices are laughable and very expensive, No drinks available from breakfast till 11am. I go to many all inclusive hotels never had all inclusive as poor as this hotel. All inclusive should be 'everything is included in the price of your holiday' - This hotel is far from an all inclusive resort. You couldn't pay us to return to this hell hole of a hotel, we were so relieved to checkout and go back home.

Absolutley Beautiful! Can't wait to return!!
I have just returned from my first solo adults only holiday to this beautiful hotel. When I initially booked this holiday, I read the reviews which were all glowing. Then not long after booking the reviews seemed to go downhill. So when I set off for my trip I was a bit nervous about what I had booked up. Well, let me tell you, I need not have worried!! From the moment I stepped foot into the beautiful hotel reception area whilst receiving a very warm welcome by Khalid and his fellow worker, I felt completely at ease. We were given a refreshing drink of mint tea whilst we went through the formalities. There is also tourist tax to pay at check in. I was shown to my room by a lovely porter. My room was a ground floor garden room. The design and architect of these rooms are gorgeous. The rooms are kept very clean everyday and towels replaced. There is also bottled water left in the room everyday. The beds are very comfy. I ventured out to the pool area and managed to get a sunbed, no problems. In fact the only time I think was difficult to get a sunbed was over the weekend, but other than that, you could pretty much always get a sunbed. Yes, some beds had been reserved, but this was not an issue and never at early doors. Towels are provided but you need to pay a small deposit for your towel card which is refunded at the end of your holiday. This is obtained from reception. The pool area is lovely and the pool itself is huge and very refreshing. My only gripe of the whole holiday was the music played around the pool. First thing in the morning there is such a chilled and relaxing atmosphere, with soft music playing quietly in the back ground but once aquarobics starts, the volume gets ramped up then they seemed to forget to turn it down!! This hotel wants to provide a relaxing atmosphere, so I think the loud music spoils the ambience. I put my headphones in to listen to my music but it sounded like a bad mix tape from the pool music and mine!! It didn't drown out the pool music. There is a pool bar which opens at 11am which was never an issue. I never experienced big queues as mentioned in previous negative reviews. The longest I had to wait was maybe 5 mins? The food in the hotel is lovely. Not a huge choice but something for everyone. The deserts taste as good as they look! You can also eat at the pool bar. I didnt eat there so I can't comment on the food, but from what I saw it was burgers, chips and pizza. The hotel is in a great location for the centre of Marrakesh and the airport. All the staff are very friendly and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. I loved my 5 nights and 6 days here and was very sad to be leaving. Being alone I felt very safe and non deterred about being there as a solo holidaymaker. I'm already looking to see when I can return here. Do not hesitate to book, just do it , you won't be disappointed.

Ultimate chill out hotel
Spent a week with my adult daughter and the hotel was a joy. Spotlessly clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The dining and drinking areas were clean and relaxing and the pool was marvelous. Adults only so no screaming children and everything operates on a nice mellow pace. I would happily revisit and hope to soon.

Wonderful Hotel, peaceful and great food
Fantastic, clean hotel. Daily repairs carried out quietly and efficiently. Lovely large pool to cool down in. No issues with sunbeds, we always managed to get one. Room was great. Shower products available for use. Restaurant - morning breakfast, plenty of choice. Lunch can either be in the Restaurant or at the pool bar (the latter is better but slower service), evenings - different themes each night, excellent standard. Huge compliments to the Chef Youssef who was always available to interpret the French signs and explain the dishes. He is very passionate about his job and a humble human. Asmara was wonderful and Moncieff (not sure if spelt correctly) was fantastic. We had our A La Carte in The Terraz Moroccan Restaurant and the food was delicious. Not one bad meal was had during our 2 weeks here. Entertainment every evening. Bar staff are excellent. Highly recommend whether it's a short get away or a longer trip.

Easy living at the Jaal Riad
A few minutes drive from the airport we received a warm welcome from the staff especially Raina who has a great sense of humor and instantly helps you settle into the chilled environment. Also Khalid was very professional and efficient. Our room was ground floor with a with pool view with private outdoor seating area with steps down the the pool offering us the ultimate convenience. At the pool the staff are in the background but are ready to assist with any request or queries and they are very polite with great personalities when you engage with them. A special mention to Ibrahim The pool has the best people with great conversations to be had. This occupies the time normally filled by activity teams at other resorts. Food was healthy and fresh for non fussy eaters. A top resort to relax and chill 5***** 3 nights
