As you step into the hotel, this property is a true dream. It is more beautiful than the photos. Every part of the hotel has unique inspiration of Morocco. The pool, the breakfast area, the welcome lobby and the star of the property is the roof top. You can spend hours working out, sunbathing, eating and just enjoying the sunset. The service and the whole team was so hospitable and very attentive of our every need. Every morning for breakfast, the team greeted us with warmth and ensure we had what we needed to start off our day. Our room was a perfect Riad with superb service. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Marrakech.

The Absolute Best

This was perhaps the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at - and that is saying a lot. The attention to detail when they refurbished this structure is amazing. The rooms are fabulous and the rooftop wonderful.

La Sultana—The best of Marrakech

In Marrakech, Morocco. Gorgeous and spacious “Leopard” suite on a beautiful property composed of 5 riads. Every space was beautiful including the terrace. Amazing staff, delicious food, best location. Unbelievable gifts including a beautiful straw bag, straw hats and two different kinds of slippers for each person.

We visited for our wedding anniversary and completely unexpectedly the hotel upgraded us to the best room, the Lion Suite. Absolutely fabulous. The hotel has to be seen to be believed. Totally unique and in the heart of the Medina.

An oasis in a busy city

Lovely hotel in the centre of Marrakesh. Easy walk to everything. Fabulous roof terrace with bar and restaurant. Fish bbq on roof was spectacular. Cookery course a must do! Room was spacious and comfortable set around a sunny courtyard. Service was perfect!

Heavenly La Sultana

We had a fabulous stay at La Sultana. Like so many gems in Marrakech, it is hidden away behind an alley but go through the doors and you are transported into Aladdin’s cave. The architecture and decoration is stunning and on a match with many of the palaces on the tourist rota but as a guest you get to enjoy it in your own home. Divided into 4 stunning Riads with individual guest rooms secluded off each, we were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a junior suite. Pretty much the most impressive bedroom we have ever stayed in! Without doubt Marrakech is a chaotic kaleidoscope of sights and sounds so it is vital that as a tourist you have an oasis of calm to return and relax in which is exactly what La Sultana offers. The staff are perfectly attentive but never intrusive and on the top of the building there is the magical cocktail bar area to enjoy an alcoholic drink (and those are harder to find than you would think in Marrakech) and enjoy the stunning sunsets before or after a meal. Most nights we took the opportunity to wander the city and eat out which we enjoyed and would recommend any guest does. However, we treated ourselves the last night by dinning at La Sultana and it was certainly very high end and wonderful food. The morning breakfasts were equally good and the egg specials set you up for a day of non stop walking. Talking of relaxing we booked ourselves in for a Hammam and massage in the hotel Spa and oh my goodness…..The Hammam was quite the experience and well worth it but the massage was absolute heaven. Beautifully pitched between the rather weak gentle soothing Spa that you get at home and the full on sports massage. They obviously make them strong but gentle in Marrakech and both my wife and I agreed it was simply the best massage we had ever experienced. If only we could get one every week. That alone would be enough reason to go back to La Sultana and if we could give the hotel 6 stars we would. We cannot recommend it enough. A genuinely unique experience and a treat everyone should wish for if only Aladdin’s Genie lamp was to hand……

Marvelous in Marrakech

So many wonderful memories created in Marrakech & @ La Sultana! The guest experience is 2nd to none. Each person sees themselves as an ambassador for the property & it shows in their level of attention. Every morning @ breakfast the manager would remember my wife's coffee of choice (decaf with oat milk) and have it ready. Just one of the advantages of staying at a property that is intimate. Mohammed in the upstairs bar area is the ultimate host. Kind & generous with his attention, the rest of the staff follows his lead. La Sultana is perfectly positioned in the medina with access to everything yet somehow still insulated from the noise. Our room was large enough & well appointed. The housekeeping staff kept everything clean & restocked without us asking for special attention...it was truly intuitive. We will return to our friends @ La Sultana anytime we are in Marrakech!

A wonderful stay and one to be repeated

We stayed at both La Sultana Marrakech and Qualidia, the latter at the suggestion of and arranged by the excellent concierge Saida. Both properties are beautifully appointed with meticulous attention to detail in both communal areas and individually decorated rooms. There are many spaces so it is easy to be private whilst not isolated in quiet and immaculately clean surroundings. Both properties have an excellent spa and it was easy to book appointments. Most significant however all members of staff from bell hop to manager looked after us with grace and kindness. We felt like royalty.

Did not live up to "luxury" expecations.

If you want to stay in a piece of artwork, then this is a great spot. Very authentic, very Moroccan. The welcome tea was wonderful and they left us treats (fruit, desserts) in the room that lasted us a few days, a very nice touch.

For the price, it is not worth it - and this is coming from easy-to-please travelers. The riad rooms are very small, the bathtub beautiful but functionally unusable, the spa has limited amenities (a single luke-warm pool compared to salt baths, experience showers, saunas, etc.), the location is in the old city, but still a fair walk (read: dodging cars on the street) to get to most shops, restaurants, and attractions. The pool is right in front of a restaurant, so you become the entertainment if you want to partake. The restaurants had very good food - but at 3X the price of other popular restaurants in the old city. We were expecting near-Four Seasons luxury, and were met with a small boutique hotel. Would not personally recommend for the current price point of this hotel.

Intimate luxury in the middle of busy Marrakech

It was the absolutely perfect way to end our two week visit to Morocco. La Sultana delivered a luxury incredible perfect end to our stay in Marrakech. We wanted to chill and relax, and it was the perfect place to do so. The staff make you feel so welcome. It is located in the Kasbah area, in the Medina - where it can be busy and hectic. To be able to walk into the secluded sanctuary of La Sultana was priceless. The location was perfect for us to duck out to visit the souks and local restaurants. There is so much choice just outside the Riad. We didn’t have any meals in La Sultana regrettably but our final night with cocktails on the rooftop was memorable. We had a few niggling issues and the Head Concierge, the wonderful Saida Loutou, was so responsive and perceptible. She is the beating heartbeat behind this place and is the reason why La Sultana has soul (and is not just a hotel). It is an intimate boutique hotel - you will feel so at home and won’t want to leave.

We had a wonderful stay at La Sultana Marrakech. From the moment we arrived, the level of service was exceptional, the team were genuinely warm, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The riad itself is stunning, with incredible attention to detail throughout the historic setting. Every space feels carefully considered and beautifully maintained, full of character and charm. The pool area is a real highlight and a peaceful place to relax after time in the Medina. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with great variety and quality. We also dined in the restaurant and had a fantastic meal, again with service that felt thoughtful and personal rather than formal or forced. What really stood out was how well looked after we felt throughout our stay. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. We would absolutely return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend La Sultana to anyone visiting Marrakech.

How do you describe magic with words? You don’t. It’s something you experience. That’s La Sultana for us!!! The attention to details, impeccable design. Where do I even begin? The aesthetics and scents were whimsical. You feel like you’re immediately transported into a scene from a movie. I would literally pinch myself every time we walked through the little alley and into the hotel’s entrance. Ghizlan and the team were just PHENOMENAL. We were there for a very short 3 days. They pampered us!!!! We were there during Valentine’s Day too. We came back to a room decorated with rose petals, candles everywhere. My heart is so full thinking about our time there. I wish I could’ve stayed there for 3 weeks, but we were touring other cities in Morocco so it wasn’t an option!!! I couldn’t recommend it enough. Location is perfect, walking distance from many of the historic sites and some of the best restaurants. The rooms are a work of art. Do NOT skip breakfast 🥰. If you’re looking to feel like royalty. La Sultana and its staff will absolutely make sure you do!!!!!! They are kind, professional, go above and beyond to accommodate your every need. I will be back. No two ways about it!!!!!! Thank you Ghizlan. Meeting you especially was one of the absolute highlights of my trip!!! Your kindness and generosity are truly inspiring.

Amazing and wonderful

La Sultana is absolutely wonderful. Quiet and intimate, the service is warm, personal and immaculate. The building itself, and the rooms, are absolutely stunning: there is no view or line of sight that is uninteresting or boring, the quality of design is astonishing. Yet it is the little things that make the difference. I went to La Sultana on my honeymoon and on arrival we were delighted to find rose petals in the bathroom and a tray of delicious sweets and pastries to welcome us. The whole thing was fantastic, I can't think of a single bad word to say about it and we shall definitely return.

Even if you don’t stay go for a drink or meal. Fabulous place, quiet and beautiful. Food is top class with a mix of tradional and modern Moroccan. Trad food is done in 5 star way so try it. Roof top bar is great with heaters Ian’s . blankets if it’s cold. Cocktails are different,and great. Staff very helpful and friendly and eager to help. Try Moroccan wine rather than French You need to book as it’s popular with visitors coming from other hotels.

A+ stay at La Sultana Marrakech

I have only positive things to say about this hotel. The common areas and rooms are gorgeous. The service was impeccable-the hotel staff members are very attentive without being overbearing. We enjoyed nightly visits to the rooftop bar where the food exceeded our expectations. The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance to activities and restaurants. This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had anywhere in the world.

I had a truly relaxing experience at the spa of la Sultana Marrakech. From the moment we arriveed, the atmosphere was calm, beautiful & very welcoming. We enjoyed a traditional Moroccan hammam followed by a relaxing massage, ans it was amazing. It’s the perfect place to escape yhe busy streets of Marrakech and enjoy a peaceful moment of relaxation. I highly recommend this spa if you're looking for a high-quality wellness experience in the city.

A Magic Stay in a Stunning Riad

We had the most wonderful 48 hours at La Sultana Marrakech. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely welcome — everyone is warm, attentive and so clearly passionate about what they do. The riad itself is absolutely enchanting and full of character. There were so many places to sit and relax, each with a different style and view, it felt like we didn’t need to venture out! We especially loved breakfast by the pool, rooftop terrace and the breath-taking views of the Atlas Mountains, and all the meals were delicious!

A Truly Magical Place

Where do I begin? La Sultana is simply extraordinary. From the design, to the food and drinks, to the spa — every moment in the hotel was a pleasure. But what truly made our stay memorable was the level of service and the people. I have been fortunate to travel all over the world and the staff at La Sultana is the best of the best. They helped curate every moment of our stay in Marrakech: getting us reservations at restaurants, guided tours of the city — even breakfast each morning was just fantastic. If I had a thought and simply mentioned it, it became real. I felt I was in the most luxurious, silken dream, from which I never wanted to awaken. Two moments that most impressed me: 1) I realized I had run out of the deodorant I packed. The concierge sent someone to multiple pharmacies to find my exact deodorant! 2) I had brought two books to read. The maid who came for turndown service on the first night put bookmarks in my books. Completely unnecessary but a level of care that made you know you were truly being taken care of. I cannot wait to return. I could spend days without ever leaving the riad. A true gem in the middle of Marrakech!

Very good food and staff

A lovely atmosphere and great attentive staff. The crab starter was amazing and the lamb main course to share (it was massive!) was also very good. Would recommend it.

Peaceful Luxury in the Heart of Marrakech

What a beautiful boutique hotel! Very near the hustle and bustle of everything but far enough away to be a peaceful oasis. Rooftop is a beautiful place to have a drink or dinner and watch over the rooftops of the city. Breakfast every morning was a pleasure. Friendly staff who greeted us by name every morning and brought us our US newspaper summary. Excellent service all around.

One of the most amazing experience that our family had! Starting with the beautiful complex of La Sultana Riad, with its fountain, swimming pool, jacuzzi in the hotel patios. As we arrived, the welcome was warm and professional, making us feel genuinely cared for rather than simply checked in. Sweets and hand towels were offered immediately. Each room was immaculate, exquisite designed, and thoughtfully appointed — combining comfort, luxury, different styles and functionality. Every detail, from the quality of the linens, little touches, sweets, to the complimentary gifts, reflected a commitment to excellence. The service throughout our stay was outstanding. The staff was attentive, discreet, and always ready to help with a smile and genuine kindness. It’s rare to encounter a team so perfectly balanced between professionalism and warmth. The common areas and amenities were equally impressive, offering a refined atmosphere. Breakfast and dining were delicious, and the rooftop bar was a highlight! The SPA was a peaceful and beautiful environment, it was an escape from a busy day, great option for any Marrakesh visitor! La Sultana is not just a hotel, is an experience, a GREAT ONE! The most amazing hotel "rooms" I have ever seen. Each suite was like staying in a palace. And the service made us feel like we were royalty. The rooftop bar/restaurant was beautiful and a great place to hangout after a day of touring. The staff there was amazing.

La Sultana is a beautiful boutique five star Riad. The rooms, the service, the food, the amenities are first class. I highly recommend staying here. Great location, very clean and quiet. We had an amazing stay in the Giraffe Room at La Sultana. The hotel, which is composed of multiple riads, is beautifully decorated and tranquil. We especially enjoyed the spa, the restaurant breakfast, and the rooftop bar for tapas and drinks. The property is easy to reach by car.

We stayed at La Sultana in Marrakesh with our family this fall, and we absolutely loved it. The beauty of the riad was matched by the wonderful and kind people working within it. The staff were attentive, warm and welcoming hosts, always smiling and treating our 2 girls like princesses! There were extra touches everywhere. The riad is gorgeous with the finest details and decor throughout. The food was outstanding, hamam available in the stunning spa on site. The rooftop bar was beautiful with lush greenery everywhere. We will certainly visit again! To the staff- Thank you again for making our stay so special and for your kindness to our family! We truly enjoyed it and it will be a cherished memory for us forever!!!

I absolutely loved this hotel - from the beautiful rooms to the wonderful people working at the hotel and the excellent restaurants, all my needs were met and my expectations exceeded! I would stay again the next time I am in Marrakech and will definitely recommend the hotel.

Elegance defined!

We spent 18 days in Morocco, always in beautiful hotels. However, La Sultana outshone all the others for its elegance and beauty, superior staff, and cleanliness. I’d been quite ill in previous days, and the personnel at La Sultana could not have been more hospitable or accomodating to my dietary needs. We highly recommend this hotel.

This is a SPECIAL place

This is an extraordinary tranquil boutique oasis with a great location in the heart of the busy Kasbah. The rooms are each unique, and represent old-world luxury. The food, drinks, and restaurant/bar settings were all high-quality. Most importantly, the entire staff -- front-desk, security, dining, and housekeeping -- were all incredibly kind, attentive, and professional.

Highly recommend the roof terrace

We ate on the roof terrace and had a wonderful evening. The setting is stunning, the staff are brilliant - a perfect balance of friendly, funny and professional - and the food was delicious. We all thought it was very special. We were even offered a tour of the hotel on our way out - it’s a stunning building. A real highlight of the Medina and of our holiday in Marrakech.

Exotic oasis

How wonderful to rest in peace, "far from the madding crowd” at La Sultana. This exotic oasis in the heart of Marrakech was the perfect place to rest and recuperate after the excitement of exploring the city each day - and night! We were always welcomed beautifully on each return which made La Sultana feel like our home away from home. We appreciated every element of this exquisitely designed traditional riad. Staff were lovely - professional, attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and the romantic setting around the pool listening to the excellent sitar player at night was memorable. The Hammam experience was fantastic - smoothed our skin and our worries (about having to return home soon!) The rooftop allows perspective on the city whilst enjoying the comfort of the hotel bar and other facilities and activities like the calligraphy lesson! The pool was just the right temperature (though as dining surrounds it you can only swim between meals!) Our room was exotic - palatial - extremely comfortable, exceptionally clean and everything was replenished generously each day. There were fresh roses everywhere and a gorgeous interior courtyard garden. Location was walking distance to great cafes and shops, not far from the Medina and Square and a short drive to many local places of interest. Highly recommend La Sultana.

Beautiful hotel with classic Moroccan architecture and amazing service and well-located within the kasbah/medina. The hotel is a reimagined riad with amazing details everywhere, including private nooks and gardens throughout the property. Each room room is different, ours had a fireplace, seating area, nespresso machine, robes etc. we arrived to delicious welcome snacks and fruit and received nightly dessert. The included off the menu breakfast was superb. We had a couple hammam that was exquisite and massages at the spa. The service at the hotel was impeccable, including accommodating a late breakfast after we arrived in the early morning from our flight.

Amazing Experience

Fantastic service and food by our host Mr. Menim, his boss Simo and rest of rest of the staff. We are coming back. This is a riad located within the Kasbah of Marrakech which is typical for Morocco and in the same time modern in its design. We felt very velcome and felt very relaxed in the beatiful environments and appreciated the evening,
