Coming from a hospitality industry, I say beyond perfect!

From the moment we arrived, everything felt simply perfect. We were welcomed so warmly by Hana, whose kindness set the tone for our entire stay. Mohammad, the owner, made the experience truly special by sharing stories about his incredible collection of antiques—each piece in the Dar has a soul and a history, and you can feel it in every corner. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with care and full of authentic flavor. The entire place was pristine and beautifully maintained. Our room was stunning, comfortable, and felt like a peaceful sanctuary. One of the most magical details was the scent of orange blossoms drifting through our window—it created an atmosphere that’s hard to put into words. The terrace was equally beautiful, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the surroundings. What stood out the most was how at home we felt. Not just comfortable, but truly cared for. Tea was available 24/7, always offered with genuine warmth. Even our dog was welcomed with smiles and open hearts, which meant so much to us. The hospitality here is something rare—this is not just learned politeness, but sincere, heartfelt kindness. You can feel that every smile comes from a real place. There are honestly no words that fully capture how good we felt staying here. It was more than just accommodation—it was an experience we will carry with us.

Magico soggiorno a Fes.

Dar tipico marocchino, pulito e accogliente. Lo staff gentile, disponibile e attento, ci hanno prenotato trasporto da/per l’aeroporto e guida per la Medina. Comunicazione perfetta prima dell’arrivo e durante il soggiorno. Colazione ottima e ricca di prodotti freschi e locali. Abbiamo anche cenato per due sere da loro e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Ottima cuoca e cibo davvero buono. Comoda la posizione in prossimità di una porta che permette ai taxi di arrivare a 3minuti dal Dar. Un grazie speciale a Imane e Samir per la loro gentilezza.

È accanto ad una moschea e il volume delle preghiere è piuttosto alto. Per noi non è stato un problema ma potrebbe esserlo per chi ha difficoltà a dormire.

Riad (plutôt Dar) typique avec belle terrasse et petit déj copieux. Bruyant quand les personnes ne font pas attention mais comme dans tout les Riad de la medina de Fes.

Dîner un peu cher mais bon. Attention il y a une mosquée a 2 pas avec le Muessin a l'aube, je conseille les boule quies.

Nothing really. The riad was a walk away from the main tourist area; on the other hand, it was very close to one of the gates, so taxis/pick-ups were really easy.

Beste Unterkunft mit dem freundlichsten Personal

Sehr liebevoll eingerichtet mit hochwertigem Mobiliar, sehr sauber und die Lage ist in der alten Teil von Fes und man kann zu Fuß eine Großteil der Stadt erkunden. Eine Teil davon kann man sogar von der Dachterasse aus sehen und beim Sonnenaufgang oder Untergang das Frühstück oder Abendessen genießen. Das wirkliche Highlight sind aber das Personal Yasmina und Mohammed, die einen super freundlich und zuvorkommend begrüßen und mir bei jedem Wunsch oder Bitte geholfen haben. Sie haben sogar für mein Elektroauto mehrere Ladestationen rausgesucht. Bei meiner 2 monatigen Reise habe ich mich noch nie so wohl gefühlt!

Love the charm of this riad! Highly recommended. The staff were efficient, pleasant and helpful. They really made us feel welcome. Beautiful rooms, clean, delicious breakfast and dinner, lovely terrace. They offer free mint tea with homemade biscuits throughout the day! Thank you Yassmina and Imane, we will definitely come back!

La posizione è comoda, vicino ad un parcheggio ove poter lasciare auto, ma all'interno della Medina, il Riad è pulito, tipico, stanze comode e bagno funzionale. Trovate asciugamani, sapone e phon, TV in stanza. Ci hanno accolto offrendoci un ottimo the e dei biscottini. Peccato aver fatto solo una notte. Colazione continentale super. Tutto buono ed abbondante. Consigliatissimo

Charming and wonderful!

An utterly charming dar. The staff arranged for a guide for us in the medina as well as transport from the airport. There was a lovely rooftop area for meals, which were delicious! Our room was cozy and beautifully decorated. Yassmina and the entire staff went above and beyond!!

Ask for an inside room as quite a bit of street noise and near a mosque.

It’s the typical riad, with the lovely internal courtyard and all the wonderful decorations that make it feel authentic . The three people that work at the front desk are so helpful and nice. Truly nice to have their help . The terrace for breakfast was lovely upstairs And they prepare all their baked goods . Also they have access to a Hammam nearby f or a relaxing service. It’s easy to be dropped off by a taxi and be picked up for transportation . The only challenge is the walk to the Medina … you can use your phone for guidance because it’s easy to get lost . It was tricky returning back . But most places in Fez are that way. It’s not a dangerous place- it’s safe. It’s just that it’s hard to figure out all the small streets and turns.. But that’s part of the charm. Hotel was lovely , my room was beautiful

Experience was fantastic. Clean, comfortable, great staff, delicious breakfast. Only issue is people will try to direct you into parking spots or garages. Your vehicle will be safe but its a hustle for money. There is a garage right next to the hotel that is less money. If I'm in Fes again I will definitely be coming back.

We enjoyed big breakfasts and had a delicious dinner there as well. Abdul was a sweetheart- very helpful too.

I had a very nice stay at Dar Fes Medina Ziat.

The room was a good size, not crowded, and there was space in the closet to store the suitcase and hang items on the hangars provided. They served a typical Morocco breakfast that includes orange juice and a variety of breads and jams, a fried egg and, on a couple of mornings, fresh yoghurt. The riad is well located within a short walk of the Ziat entrance to the Medina so one does not have to walk far with luggage to reach it.

I would have like the coffee to have been better.

Delightful stay in a cozy, boutique riad

This road is such a gem! The entire staff are lovely, they really made me feel at home. The design of the riad is spectacular, the old-world artisanal beauty famous to the Fes house has been perfectly maintained here. The bedding is all embroidered and gorgeous, the showers are steaming hot with fantastic water pressure, everything is immaculately clean, and the location is perfect- just next to one of the doors of the Medina so you can get a taxi easily if needed, and in a very peaceful, local neighborhood which feels wonderful after a day of the chaotic souks. They also offer the best guides and excursions, and the homemade meals are better than anything you will find in a restaurant. I will stay here every time I come to Fes! Thanks, everyone ❤️

Beautiful, small hotel with even more beautiful people. Mohammed, Mohammed and Yassmina were all kind, welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious and plentiful. Arranged wonderful city tour with Rashid. Strong, hot shower much appreciated after some days in the desert!

Easy access to the heart of the medina. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The roof top was a lovely place to relax.

We had a fantastic stay at this gem of a Riad. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful. They kindly arranged our transport, shared lots of information with us and connected us with the best local guide Muhammed, with whom we had the best day! The Riad itself is absolutely gorgeous with so many authentic items framed all around like art pieces, which they absolutely are. The roof terrace with breath taking views, delicious breakfast and unlimited mint tea were such lovely bonuses! A very special thanks to the incredibly brilliant Imane, Yesmina and Muhammed!

Absolutely wonderful

Me and my partner loved this small Dar. The location in a safe and quit part of the Medina, the easy accessibility to the Blue Gate, the condition of the Dar, its beautiful decorations, the cleanliness, the very welcoming staff, all made our experience in Fes a great one. We absolutely loved the breakfast and the dinner we had there and we felt welcome throughout our stay. Everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and to help (we booked our airport rides through them, and also a city tour and all went perfect). Nothing but great words for the ambiance, the staff and their hospitality.

We came to the accommodation around 21:00 and someone from the riad came to the main street to help us with the luggage and also to show us the way - thank you again for this <3 The room was super clean, big and beautiful. The riad itself is very beautiful, it looks like a museum to me. The breakfast was great, but what stood out to me the most was the hospitality. Thank you again for everything. It would be a pleasure to visit you again.

During our vacation we traveled through Morocco and stayed in various hotels. The Dar Fes Medina Ziat was by far the best. The staff are very welcoming and heartwarming. Questions are listened to carefully and assistance with arrival or departure was also no problem. Not only the atmosphere of the staff but the entire accomodation makes you feel comfortable and happy to spend time there. The traditional tiles, the inner courtyard and the colorful windows in the rooms are just on of the many highlights.

We really enjoyed our stay! Staff was really kind and helpful! The welcomed us with mint tea and some delicious biscuits and provided us with lot of useful info about Fes! The location is close enough to the city centre and there's Bab Ziat closeby which is a convenient place to be dropped off/picked up by a car! The breakfast was really nice too and our room was quite clean!

This place was great! The food was amazing, the rooms were beautiful, and all of the staff were absolutely delightful. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. A real highlight of my visit to Fes. Be aware of "guides" who loiter on the street outside and will offer to lead through the Medina then ask for money.

Dar Fes Medina was such a lovely place to stay. The rooms are gorgeous, amazing rooftop terrace, and really wonderful staff who were so hospitable and helpful. From Mohammed the owner to Yassmina, Imanne and Mohammed the concierge / front desk staff, I had such a delightful time. So helpful with making transport arrangments, suggestions and more. Would return any time. This is a great location that is easy to get in and out of the medina and also close to the deeper pars of the medina as well.

A Most Remarkable Riad

This Riad is a gem! They treat you like family the minute you walk in the door and are welcomed with hot mint tea and cookies. The entire staff is thoughtful and caring. The interiors are artfully designed, with exquisite Moroccan rugs, antiques, and mosiac treatments on floors, fountains and tubs. Our meals were home cooked and delicious. The dining room and rooftop rose garden a lovely place to eat or just listen to the birds and daily calls to prayer. The staff arranged for pickups and drop offs at the airport, booked guides and tours when and where we wanted to explore. The owners are especially attentive to all your wants and needs. If your looking for a total Fes experience, comfortable, cared for and effortless - look no further. We’ll be returning to spend more time with this new family of friends.

Our second stay was in a room that smelled HORRIBLE---moldy. We asked to change rooms and were told no, there were none. We had windows and hall door open as much as possible, but it was terrible.

This place and the staff are incredible. Imane, Mohammed, and team went out of their way to ensure we had the best experience. Highly recommend staying here if you have the chance! Great quiet location that is very close to all of the main sights of the Medina. Breakfast provides daily is delicious, and the free tea and cookies were an added perk. Very kind people and the best place we stayed in all of Morocco.

One of the best riads we have stayed in Morocco. Lovely decorations, room very comfy with AC heating. Breakfast delicious. You can also try their home cooked dinner. Outstanding services, kind and helpful staff. If you have early morning departure they make sure you dont miss breakfast and they can also help you organise everything from tours to taxi. We took the desert tour and had a great experience.

It has been a wonderful stay at Dar fes Medina. Lovely rooms very clean,people kind and helpful . The roof terrace was amazing. Jasmine was so kind to help us booking a train ticket on line. I definitely recommend this Riad. Thank you to all the staff!
