All inclusive options were limited and often ran out of basic drinks.
Food options were repetitive and may disappoint those with a different palate.
Room was reasonably clean but dated with poor soundproofing.
Resort is dated and not up to 4-star European standards; would not stay again.
Room was reasonably clean but dated.
The resort is miles from anywhere and requires a taxi to get around.
Most staff were helpful and hardworking, particularly the female staff.
Numerous pools with plenty of sunbeds available.
Please note that the water park we have in the property, opening dates are from 1st of May unti the 31st of October each year. Opening hours are from 10:00 am until 06:00 pm. A deposit may be required at the property.

It is what you make it
Just returned from a 2 week stay at this hotel! Family of 4 two children (6&11) The rooms are very small for a family of 4 and we spent 2 weeks on top of each other. AC was good in block 1. Kept us comfortable throughout the night. We wasn’t too bother about the rooms being dated as we only use it to shower and sleep. The rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels and a bottle of water. The main pool is where all the entertainment takes place. It is loud and very over crowded. We chose not to use that pool during our stay. We really liked the pool near to the water park only down side was not having the all inclusive option there, but there is a little bar that sells cans of pop. No alcohol is allowed at this pool. Glasses and bottles are served at all times around the pool so be careful as lots get smashed. The Mango pool is lovely ☺️ The restaurant is complete chaos!!! Breakfast is not too busy and offer fresh omelettes, pancakes etc. just watch out for the birds as they quite like a croissant! lunch - restaurant is chaos people everywhere getting food and struggle to get a table inside. Snack bar is great and the pizzas are delicious only down side is they cook one at a time so the wait can be a while for your 2slices. Dinner - well….. if you want a table dressing with a table cloth, glasses and cutlery then get there for 19.30 any time after that you will have to clear your own table route around for cutlery. Food is good always managed to find something tasty to eat. Staff work so hard in the restaurant it just seems they don’t have enough staff for the turn over of tables and the amount of guests in the hotel. Bar - be prepared to queue!! The staff are working extremely hard but again just doesn’t seem to be enough staff and the bar area is not big enough. During our stay they ran out of beer so had to wait for a delivery. It was an effort to get a drink which was a shame in the 46degree heat we needed drinks. Rule is only 2 drinks at a time which doesn’t work to well with as family of 4 but some staff did accommodate this. Entertainment we didn’t get involved or spend time at that pool during the day. In the evening we went to the kiddy disco which was ok. Evening entertainment is all French they don’t make any effort to translate into English which was a shame. Kids club was great my youngest spent a lot of time there and loved Hauoda. The hotel has an infirmary/medical room I want to mention this as the male nurse is amazing (I can’t remember his name) I am forever grateful for his kindness and help. our little girl got very poorly during our stay and needed medical attention. He came to our room to see her he helped keep the situation calm, he contacted the doctor who came to the hotel to see her. The doctor gave her treatment which helped us to get her home safely. Please say a huge thank you to him. After some time in hospital back in the UK she now getting better. 😁 This hotel is a 3* for a reason. Yes it has good and bad points but a holiday is what you make it and what you pay for!! We had a great time as a family. We went out and about and experienced so much in Marrakesh. The people are kind and helpful. Piece of advice don’t book trips through the hotel they’re very expensive. We used ‘get your guild’. Also take a Stanley cup the bar will fill it with pop, beer, wine what ever you want. This helps stop wasps and flies. I wouldn’t return to this hotel just because of the queues, restaurants being chaos and not a relaxing environment to eat a meal.

Overall a great hotel but bar service needs real improvement
Just back from a 1 week stay at valeria Medina. Overall a good stay and. Good hotel. Must admit we where a little dubious after reading the reviews and the supposed anti English rhetoric however pleased to say we never experienced this/felt it. Yes I do feel that ghe hotel is geared more towards French guests a lot of the entertainment being in French as a result our kids ( 5 & 3 years) weren't keen to join in the entertainment but I wouldn't class this as anti English we felt all the staff we encountered to ve very nice hospitable and they where great with the kids. Food we thought was great wide selection and very tasty. Rooms are dated and in need of an upgrade however perfectly adequate to sleep in and secure which is all we wanted as did not spend much time in room. Great selection of pools particularly enjoyed the shallow kids pool which was perfect to allow us to relax a little whilst still be able to keep watch on the kids. Waterpark great as well and included in price. Only down side to the holiday for us was the bar service. This in honesty was awful. Max of 2 drinks per person which oddly seemed to include soft drinks. So could not get all 4 of us a drink at one time so meant getting kids drinks then re queueing to get ours. Which would of been fine if there was more that 1 person serving on the bar. Queues where very long with only 1 person serving but lots of other staff just hanging about not helping. Also they did run out of beer on one day however did mange to get hold of bottles of san Miguel to give out eventually which was great. That was the only down side to an otherwise fantastic stay. SPECIAL MENTION We stayed in block 9. Just wanted to give a special mention to our maid Nabila who was absolutely lovely really friendly always greeted us with a smile and kind words asking us about our stay. She was great with the children too. A real credit to Valeria Medina!

Amazing family holiday 🩵
We have just had 10 nights at this resort. I genuinely do think that some of the posts on here are jumping on the compensation bandwagon. Im not saying everyone that stays has an amazing time but after reading the reviews on this group we were honestly dreading what we were walking into. And we've had one of the best holidays!! There has been a few hiccups dont get me wrong but you get that anywhere you go. When we first arrived the staff had us drop our suitcases and we were taken straight for lunch (about 1pm). First con, our room wasn't ready until 3 so we did have an hour to kill after lunch to get into our room but we could have stayed in the dining bit where they had air con, drinks and food. So it wasn't all bad. Food, food was brilliant. Im not even sure why people are moaning. Always lots of variety, vegetarian options, always different meats being cut fresh by chefs, always pasta chips nuggets bread etc for the kids that dont eat extravagant foods. Burgers every lunch time. One night they had a bbq. Breakfast was always the same, omelette, eggs, cereal, pancakes your usual but lunch and dinner always had something different. We had fussy eaters in our group that always found something. There were no more flies that we get in England and as for the complaints for the birds they never bothered anyone. The only time I saw the birds being a pest is when guests would leave stupid amounts of food on the tables when they were leaving and little birds would come down and try and pinch it 😂 maybe those guests need a lesson in only putting what they are actually going to eat on their plates instead of being greedy then the birds wouldn't be trying to steal the food 🙂 some of the catering staff were a bit rude. But iv again you could get that anywhere and that didnt ruin my holiday. Yes the dining area could get busy but again, it's august, it's hot & staff were trying their best. We made friends with a waiter named Osama and he ensured we had a table for 12 every day and went out of his way to ensure we always had everything we needed. Yes we tipped him BUT we only tipped him because of his kindness not just because. Bar staff worked there asses off. Its august, it's hot, there's a lot of guests. There are 2 bars that are open all day and evening for soft drinks and alcoholic drinks. (They dodnt do cocktails in the snack bar bit but it wasnt a long way to the other nar from the pool) Yes there were sometimes ques and I say sometimes because it wasn't always. But a bit of patience goes a long way. Imagine working in 45 degree heat in shirt and trousers and having guests shouting at you because your not going fast enough. There's no wonder some guests report the bar staff being rude to them because if I were them being scoffed at by some of the customers id be rude too. Personally we were always polite and waited our turn and we never experienced any rudeness from the bar staff. The 2 drink rule is fair in my opinion or you would be waiting longer in the ques but you know what, you ask them nicely and use your manners and they give you more than 2 anyway. You cant moan your stood in a que 20 mins but expect them to also serve you 7 drinks in 30 seconds. Rooms were absolutely fine. Air con wasnt FANTASTIC but it did it's job. Put some card in the slot where the card goes in the room and leave the air con on continuous. Cleaners do an amazing job. Our cleaner was awesome. Tipped her a couple of times and left her some sweets some days and she always said good morning and played with the kids, always made sure our room had fresh bottles of water, always had the room sparkling every day, did some amazing little bits for the kids with the towels. Was the highlight of their day going back to see what the cleaner had done 😂😂 I took an extention lead so I didnt have to worry about plugs. Balconies are a fair size. We had a second floor room. There is quite a big french english divide. The French entertainment team could be quite arrogant towards the english i have got to admit. They would do all the daytime entertainment in French and evening as all the French would mostly go down the the theatre for their entertainment and the english would sit by the resteraunt entertainment area. BUT. They have 2 entertainment teams. The international entertainment team were AMAZING. They would constantly walk up and down the sunbeds and talk to everyone, Announce their entertainment in english and French, played with the kids, asked EVERYONE to join in, help out with anything they could and genuinely tried their very best. Those guys are worked to the bone and they still always have a smile on their face and super positive vibes. Please be kind to them because a lot of people were so rude and then complain they didnt receive the same service as we did. All we did was be friendly and that's exactly what we received back. Again though I will illiterate that this was not the case with the french entertainment team. Even after our best efforts they did not want to engage with us english folk. But that was fine, the other entertainment team did enough to not be bothered about joining in with the French anyway 😂🤷♀️. Sunbeds were getting a bit crazy round the main pool, get up early for a sunbed. If you dont mind where you are though there are plenty of other sunbeds dotted about. If you do have any worries while you are there they had a manager guy turn up half way through our holiday called Mazine and he would go out of his way to help guests. Go speak to him and I promise he will help you solve any issues you have. He was always wandering around checking in, eating with guests at mealtimes and genuinely turning the atmosphere into a real positive vibe. He will do wonders for the valeria madina and I hope that the hotel continues to improve and go on to great things. I would also like to give a big thankyou to Hiba, Emir & everyone from the animation team. Osama the waiter that ensured our mealtimes were an awesome experience, the lifeguards that always came and spoke to us especially Salah who went completely out of his way to make friends with us. Nasser for his amazing photos & And Mazine for ensuring everyone was happy, any problems were rectified straight away and making sure the entire resort felt welcome. He really does do a good job on making sure everything is constantly running smoothly. I hope we see you all again soon 🩵🤘

2* experience
Unfortunately, all the poor reviews are absolutely spot on. I am not going to reiterate the problems with the rooms, the overcrowding at the entertainment pool, the poor service at the bar, no TUI UK rep available at all but what I will recommend if you are staying soon is: 1. The quiet pool by the slides is the cleanest and not overcrowded and we spent our days there. The downside to this is that the bar there is not part of the all inclusive (and only serves soft drinks and ice cream) and there is nowhere to get food. This pool is at the furthest point from the restaurant and all inclusive bar. 2. The Mango pool. It costs £8 for the day but is totally worth every penny. Also not included in the all inclusive though but the food and drinks are fantastic. 3. The Spa - have a treatment. 4. Book your excursions through Get your Guide - the sunrise hot air balloon was one of the best experiences ever. 5. The YSL gardens are a must if you like that sort of thing. 6. If you are going to the Souks use a guide too otherwise it is pure chaos. We can’t believe that TUI put their name to this hotel or put their guests in it. Such a shame but we made the most of it because we had no choice.

Look elsewhere
I am not one for writing reviews as we all appreciate different things but on this occasion I feel strongly that future guests need to be made aware of. The hotel is nicely situated about 20mins out of Marrakesh it has typical features of a Riad you would expect. The hotel is spread out over a vast area so you do get your steps in everyday especially if you seem to English and placed in blocks 800/900 the furthest away from the pools bars restaurants, they are basic rooms poorly maintained dirty and quite dated, stains on bedding, we complained and eventually moved to an upgraded room. Better but not perfect. 2 other English families were also complaining and the following day a large number of other English families also complained. The main pool gets extremely busy, there are not enough beds for the number of guests the hotel has. Empty glasses and water bottle’s can be seen lying around on the floor as they are not routinely collected perhaps once a day maybe. They usually have 4 life guards on because of how busy it is. It was noted on numerous occasions the life guards were very whistle happy often blowing his whistle tell an English child not to jump in the pool but then allow a French or Arabic child to do exactly the same… I’ll say hats off to the animation team as during the day they would get lots of guests out the beds I’ve never been to a resort where I’ve seen so many people engaging with them dancing on the pool side doing activities in the water, however on an evening the same team would only seem to gravitate to French families when trying to get them to join in with evening entertainment. The hotel is very much geared towards the French. I acknowledge this is their main language but I’ve never been to a resort where I’ve been made to feel one nationality is favoured more than another, I had read a previous post before we went that guests can be identified which country they are from by the colour of the wrist bands they are given. I was sad to see this was the case and how behaviours of hotel employees played out. The food was actually pretty good. A good selection of foods but not really with fruit that was a poor show, Ice cream only at lunch time not evening time. And only one working drinks station for all the guests during meal times. Utterly ridiculous always a long queue whilst your food is then getting cold waiting for you to return to your table. No where near enough staff at the hotel August will always be a popular month so it’s gonna be busy every year surely so in the 2 places you can get drinks during the day only have 1 or 2 staff on, staff in the restaurant can’t keep up with clearing away tables or even replacing the glasses at the drinks station, as soon as you get up to leave after eating another family has dived in to get the table as families are often left waiting for tables to become free let alone cleared away. And if you have read previous posts yes there are flies and several birds in the eating areas and nothing seems to be happening to clear them out or even stop them coming in, the birds are used to people so can be seen flying low and close to people as they peck off plates or off the floor. Make the most of your stay here but be open minded, there is sadly an element of racism here, Oh and to leave the best bit till last, a member of the animation team was doing to my teenage daughter by the pool one day it seemed a friendly chat and could see the woman typing on her phone throughout, no biggy. However when I asked my daughter what was that about the woman was actually typing out a 5 star review about the hotel on my daughter’s phone!!!! This was deleted straight after. We have reached out to EasyJet separately but as a company perhaps you really should reconsider using this hotel, the British are only allowed to visit post Covid as the hotel was losing money.

Worst hotel ever
This is NOT a 5 star hotel ! 2/3 at a push. Our first time in Morocco & I can’t lie I did wonder what have we come to on our journey from the airport to the hotel - the lead up to the hotel was like that scene from the inbetweeners, nothing for miles ! The hotel itself - awkward, dated, smelly. To get in you walk through double doors that have no glass but a step - not ideal or clever for getting suitcases over. Let alone people in wheelchairs ! Reception staff seemed ok at first, however as we were there before 3pm check in we had to leave our luggage and wait in the bar for almost 4 hours, there was no where for us to get changed into costumes or clothes more suitable to the heat. We asked if we could go to our rooms earlier and were told yes they’d be done for 2. Come 2 o’clock neither room was ready, 230 one room ready the other was being done, they still gave us keys to both rooms ! Anyone that’s British / English and been here knows we as a race get pushed right to the other side of the hotel in blocks 8 & 9 away from the restaurants, pools, reception and bars. Some people may be ok with this, however my partner has a crutch due to hip problems and we asked if we could be nearer to the amenities due to her struggling to walk long distances or be on her feet for a long period of time. We’d also asked for the rooms to be next to one another and was informed they would be - we got given keys to 801 & 815 - no where near each other !! Once inside the rooms they weren’t clean, air con barely works, and a very disturbing smell in them. Pillows had stains on them, floors still dirty, one room still had rubbish in the bins and plates inside it !! Water dribbled out the showers. I asked about moving rooms and was told the hotel was full - I then went to speak to the management and was advised the next day they would move us closer to everything but we’d have to wait until 11am for people to check out. We accepted this and made the most of that night. The following day 11am we go to reception to be then told we have to wait until 2pm ! We reiterated the need to be closer and rooms together- then 145 we go back on the off chance rooms are ready. Whilst in reception we encountered 3 other English families complaining about their rooms, the facilities at the hotel, and what a dive it is. One woman was even onto her travel agent to be moved away immediately she hadn’t even seen her room she had just walked round the hotel grounds !! Says it all. On the flight from easy jet that landed the day after we arrived 18 families arrived at the hotel and every family raised issues with the hotel, a lot were told there was nothing the hotel could do as it was full. One family informed us they got hold of the easy jet rep and he advised them had they booked the holiday with him he would not have let them come to this hotel because of its reputation - make of that what you want to. I then got into a heated argument with a receptionist called ‘Maz’ who didn’t like it when I pointed out all English and British people were shoved as far away as possible and it was a form of racism to us. Maz got over excited and raised his voice to which he was never going to win the argument about racism with me, he then decided he wouldn’t deal with me anymore but my partner managed to speak to him. I in turn asked a nice young lad at reception on how to make a complaint about Maz, and explained the issues we had faced, within 15 minutes he had not only moved us closer but given us a free upgrade and even walked us to the rooms before we decided on moving to them, his professionalism and mannerisms were second to none and should definitely be working at a bigger and better hotel chain. New rooms were recently upgraded - air con still appalling mind, only real difference was a tv in the room ! There is no where near enough staff for the size of the hotel. The dining area is big, however the amount of flies around (inside) and also birds is concerning for hygiene alone !!! Nothing is done to discourage birds from entering the main restaurant area and they fly freely around the room ! The birds even come and eat off people’s plates ! Cutlery is hard to come across if your table isn’t already made up with it, you do have to go in search or it. Glasses are not always clean - and two drinks stations in the restaurant for around 3-400 people eating at one time. Poor !! However the food was ok. Some days better than others, a wide variety of a lunch and evening time - however breakfasts not that much to choose from. Limited fruit available and not always the ripest or tastiest. The pool bar was no better - flies around constantly again, glasses filthy even after being “washed” service very very slow ! One person could be serving whilst 20/30 people are stood waiting - yet you can see other staff milling around doing sweet f a ! The toilets by the pool are disgusting they smelt of sewerage every day ! And often when i did use them they were unclean inside with other people’s excrements still left inside toilets and on the seats ! So clearly not maintained or cleaned through the day. Hotel staff also come round the pool asking for your phone to then go onto review sites and leave themselves a 5 star review !! So whatever you read about this hotel make sure it is genuine. Be aware when booking excursions especially from companies in the market square as they give you a time, take payment then the day of the excursion change their pick up times ! Also a lot of hassle from street sellers or people wanting to give henna Tatoo’s, be careful as they will just start drawing on your hands even when you’ve said no and then tell you to pay what you want ! Haggling is a must and to be honest you can knock them down to dirt cheap prices probably the only good thing about the place. As a whole I would not recommend coming to Morocco it’s dated, poor, unclean. I certainly would NOT recommend this hotel, not worth the £5500 we paid for it, nothing in walking distance to it either you have to get taxis if you want to go anywhere and the main market place is 30/35 minutes away. We have also been informed twice and once by an easy jet rep that the hotel is owned by a French man who never used to let English people stay here and it was only after Covid had gone he changed as the hotel was about to go bankrupt - could explain why English people are treated like second class citizens on their stay. Disappointing stay and even more disappointing a travel agent as big as easy jst advertise this place - not only will I never come to Morocco again but I also won’t be using easy jet in the future.

Don't bother if your from the UK
If your from the UK or dont speak french udont bother coming here. Here now and all the animation team talk french through every show, every game, no English spoken at all, even tho there are hundreds from the UK here. The hotel is not kept as clean as it should be with wasps, flies and birds in the restraunts pooing everywhere its all on the seats and tables. Broken glass dosnt seem to bother the staff either they have no rush in cleaning it, or any glass for that matter you struggle to find a clean glass to drink out of. No wonder loads here say to bring your own cups. UK holiday companies should not be selling this place imo. Such a shame because if it was well run its a lovely hotel. Leave this place to the most rude nation on earth, the french.

Very very pleasantly surprised ☺️
Please take the negative reviews as a pinch of salt! We had a mixed party of 22 (adults and kids) many of us were worried based on reviews we have read online! I can absolutely say I had no substantial problems whilst staying at the hotel, nothing that would prevent me from returning again! The location of the hotel is about 25/30 minutes from Marrakech centre & airport so short transfer journey and short journey into town. There are plenty of taxis that sit outside the resort, just ask at reception and they will call a taxi to come pick you up. Abedo was our taxi driver the whole holiday and is the sweetest man! We stayed in block 900 which was I think the furthest from reception but not terribly far, if you have mobility issues you can ask at reception, they have a buggy and if able to do so they are happy to take you to your riad. We arrived late at night, the check in process was smooth and we were all in our rooms within about 30 mins of arrival. The rooms are spacious, well equipped with a fridge and a hairdryer (no iron or kettle) plenty of lighting and plug sockets. Little balcony area with a table and chairs. Housekeeping - Our room was immaculate every day and that is thanks to ‘Shabila’ (I think this is her name) the kindest, sweetest lady thank you for looking after our whole family. We will miss you! We had one day that our regular house keeping wasn’t there and had an issue with the stand in, which was handled by the manager swiftly. Management & Staff - The service is great, Hicham (manager) was a fantastic help in many ways during our stay helping our party out with anything we needed whether that be recommendations or issues we had at hotel. The entertainment staff are fantastic they always had something going on for the kids and had all the energy in the world (in that heat) the staff at the kids club were also fab I cannot fault them. Pools & Amenities - There was a total of 6 pools (I think) I didn’t actually make it to them all, the complex is huge! The main pool was always relatively busy but there is plenty of loungers around the area. We often went to the small pool with the pillars near to the main restaurant as was a cooler pool. There was a kids play area/water area which is beside the water slides which is fab, and there is snack bar over there which has to be paid for (no issue either take your own snacks over or get the all inclusive when you return to the main area) it is what it is! You also have the mango pool area which we visited one day. Access to the pool with a cabana bed and towels, 2 main meals, 2 cocktails, 2 soft drinks was £48 which I don’t think was bad. There is also a kids club which is great and the staff are great there too! The spa services were fab, majority of our party went for a haman massage which is highly recommended! Have medic/pharmacist on site which is good. Food & Restaurants - I cannot fault the food, it is what it is, it’s all inclusive! Yes you will have times where it seems repetitive (that’s what all inclusive is - cooking for thousands of people they do what’s easy) but everyone in our party ALWAYS found something to eat. Breakfast was the same every day. Toast, eggs, beans, omelettes, pastries, salad, breads and cereals. Lunch was burgers, chips, pizzas, salads, paninis, wraps, grilled meats, tagines, plenty of sweet treats and ice cream. Evening meals lots of meats, tagines, casseroles, veggies, rices, potatoes, grilled meat and veg, pasta bakes, noodles, burgers and again plenty of sweet treats the list was endless there was ALWAYS something to eat! There is also a snack bar between main pool and kids pool which serve pizza, burgers, paninis and fries through the day and other things. Yes there is little birds in the restaurant, no I didn’t see them on any food and there was always someone there with a palm leaf to deter them if they flew too close. Also never had any issues with the temp of the food, yes there is a microwave but I never had to use it as the food was always warm. The only small issues I would potentially raise is that English and French guests get different coloured bands upon check in and I assume this is to allow the staff to know what language to speak to guests in. But I did find that sometimes French guest were getting prioritised at the bar when being served, or the service was slightly better for the French guests, again not something that would prevent me from returning. My second issue is the bar service was quiet slow I feel like they should maybe have more staff on the bars especially in the evening or at busy times majority of the time there was only 2 staff on a bar at at time. I give 4/5 all over as there is room for improvement in certain areas but would definitely return! ☺️ Tips - Bring thermal cups to keep drinks cold (also saves you waiting in bar line for a small drink) Bring insect spray if you’re prone to bites Avoid leaving opened snacks/drinks beside your loungers as bees will swarm!

Pleasant and Friendly Resort
Just returned from a 10 day stay and can have no real complaints. Prior to going we had noticed negative social media feedback, but these people must have been at a different hotel. Is it perfect, no it's not. Yes there are birds in the restaurant and wasps around the bar, but when people leave food lying around at the back of them then birds and wasps etc will be attracted. I was in Riad 800 and the room was basic, but very comfortable and clean. The cleaning staff are excellent and attend daily with bottled water left in the room. I believe there is an ongoing modernisation of the rooms throughout the resort. Food choices were excellent with several options to suit all tastes, while the pools and waterpark are superb. Without doubt though the biggest strength the hotel has is with its staff. From cleaners, catering team, bar staff to animation team they are the friendliest group you could ever wish to meet. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always polite and helpful. Ignore negative social media posts and visit with an open mind, I'm sure you won't be disappointed, I'd happily recommend Valeria to anyo e considering a visit.

Great family holiday
We stayed here for 4 nights in June. 2 grandparents, 2 adults and 4 children - and we all had a great time. We had adjoining rooms in riad 1 which was great being so close to the pools etc. We requested a cot in one room which was missing on check in - after asking reception it was bought up promptly. We found the food to be really tasty and great variety - although it can get very busy in the restaurant and did struggle to find a table for 8 one lunchtime. If you arrive as soon as service opens then there is plenty of space. We did avoid the main pool as it was too noisy for us - but the smaller shallower pool was great and so was the large pool by the water park. WiFi didn’t really work, only in random spots but luckily we didn’t need to access anything on our phones urgently. The kids enjoyed dancing to the music in the evening regardless of what language it is. We also booked a guided tour with dinner into Marrakesh through the EasyJet rep which we all thought was brilliant. Overall there a few areas of improvement however we still all had a lovely time and would return here again.

If you speak French and can sleep in high temperature at night this is for you
We are here at the moment 7 days into a 14 day holiday- and the frustration about this resort is mounting. Being dropped off by our transfer at the main road and having to walk to reception was not a great start. The resort is massive and it is not immediately clear where one needs to go. A lot of faff was made around our luggage which was brought to the room by a golf cart type vehicle. The men hauled the luggage up to the second floor (no lift) which we appreciated, but they were not leaving the room, clearly looking for money. We had just arrived- were hot and bothered and had no local currency either. That was uncomfortable. We are 2 adults and 1 child (8) and were given 2 towels and 2 pillows- I had to ask several times to get 3 of everything- this resulted in everything taken away- Had to go to reception again to ask for it. Why? I have no idea. The room was clearly made up for 3 guests. We are in block 2- the location of block 2 is good within the resort - close to the main area and pool but a bit further from the water park entrance. The biggest complaint is that the aircon is not working and with 40 plus degree heat during the day- the nights are unbearable. We have left everything open at night to catch a breeze but it’s not helping much and then the mosquitoes are in and the noise from the parties until 1am makes sleeping a nightmare. We asked for someone to check the aircon- that was ignored. All the information around the hotel is in French so we are excluded from any activities around the pool- nothing whatsoever is announced in English. The water park is great but be aware - no food or drinks allowed whatsoever (we brought our own flasks and also used empty bottles refilled at the only 2 water stations) and even though this is meant to be all inclusive- any food or drinks over by the water park needs to be paid separately and it is a long walk in the heat back to the main area. There are not water dispensers there so bring the bottle you get from housekeeping to breakfast and fill it up there is what we did. It is however a far bigger / cleaner pool (and therefore pretty empty most days) than the main one which is covered in hair and bugs. The water park opens at 10, the splash area is extremely slippy, make sure any children wear good footwear. Kids disco is exclusively in French, no mix of any other language spoken or songs we may recognise. Instructions all in French only. This holiday was sold by TUI Ireland and we have been greatly misinformed. The safe in the room is broken, drawers are broken, sheets haven’t been changed once in a week, aircon is broken the phone is broken. Breakfast/ Lunch and dinner - the food is obviously greatly influenced by local cuisine, but the staff are unable to keep up with demand. Tables are not cleared or cleaned, cutlery/ cups etc not available- unless you arrive at the time when the dining area opens- you would struggle to find a clean table and utensils. Do not leave food on the table- one of many birds in the dining room will fly over and help themselves. The staff are trying but there are just not enough so it all piles up. Drinks dispensers also only in 2 locations at each opposite end of the dining area at the very end of the entire dining area. The machines are often not turned on and coffee is available at breakfast only. The gym - advertised as “fitted with state of the art equipment” is only big enough for maybe 3 max 4 people- it has a broken bench, 2 bikes and 1 cross trainer, weights 1,3,5,7,9,12 and 14kg and that is the state of the art equipment. There are showers there but no towels or water so need to bring your own, went looking for a toilet once and was immediately asked where I was going. There is at least 1 stray dog, several cats as well as peacocks walking around- if you are on the ground floor- I would suggest to keep nothing open so they can’t come in. The TUI rep is nowhere to be seen and the app is not working to ask someone from TUI. There was no welcome meeting like I am used to from the 4 previous TUI holidays to explain how it all works and to be visible and know where to find the rep. I have never been so disappointed with a holiday. Reading other reviews - especially about the aircon- make me doubt that we will get a room where we can actually sleep in properly- but will try again today. WiFi is so bad that we bought data packages from Vodafone. There is one spot close to reception where the WiFi is working- but nowhere else. If you come here- make sure you speak French, arrive with low expectations and the capability of being able to sleep in 35 plus degree temperatures. As of today- I desperately want to go home- the lack of proper sleep is making all of us irritable and this is not what I want on any holiday.

AWFUL!!!
This hotel is awful and would avoid at all costs!! We were a group of 7 in 3 different rooms in block 9. 1 room stunk constantly and fridge leaked all the time. 1 room had a massive bug issue after constantly reporting all they done was spray the bugs with lynx deodorant!! Or me cleaning them up!! After the 6th time complaining we finally got to speak to the manager who said a new room was needed the new room already had people in it!! We left the hotel to go out for dinner and asked for the new room to be ready when we arrived back. When getting back we was told there was no room and would need to come back in the morning!! After telling them his was not acceptable and they were not sleeping in the room they gave us a key to a room in block 2 which was 100% better!! You were queuing for a drink and they would serve the French before even if you had been waiting 5 minutes!! The wasps are a huge issue!! All activities around the pool were in French. Raw chicken was served at dinner!! Fixtures are hanging off the walls!! Fuse box left open in direct sun for 2 days!! Our beds were made everyday but no clean sheets in the whole 7 days. We spent all our holiday at the pool by the water slides and brought drinks from there as a British you are treated totally different than the French!! Also a tip use Uber if you need a taxi the drivers outside the hotel rip you off!! Charged us £31 for a 4 minute drive!! Also they ask guest to leave good reviews when finishing any activities so don’t be fooled by the good reviews

Read some really bad reviews about this hotel before coming but it's really not that bad! The hotel is quite French heavy but by no means do we as English feel we've been excluded. The entertainment team are absolutely amazing. Break, Emir and Ghani all really friendly and had such a laugh with them. Not my normal kind of hotel but I enjoyed my stay.

Average resort
Unfortunately our first room was very sub standard & didn't even meet the basic criteria. Toilet bulb not working required phone torch to see, TV had no aerial connection. Sofa bed foot panel not attached & just placed on top of the seat, broken leg on bed side table, two dirty floor rugs. I mentioned all defects to a cleaner who burst in to put a pillow case on a spare pillow??!! I also complained at reception soon after 3pm check-in. Returning to the room later in the evening. Nothing had been fixed, so back to reception this was around 10pm. A maintenance person was summoned to at least change the toilet light bulb other issues remained. Then went to the fridge to get water out & guess what yes it wasn't there?? Back to reception for further complaints fortunately out of 3 persons at reception one guy had the common sense to replace with a new within 10 minutes. This same person looked at all the other issues in the room removed the TV to show a bare cable for the aerial now totally disconnected. He stated we should be moved the following day. Also this room was on the top floor roof 3 flights of stairs. We eventually got moved 2pm the next day to a better ground floor room with everything as it should be. We all agreed with staff I shouldn't have to point out room defects multiple times at all on our vacation. These should be done by at least room cleaners or staff basic checks. We had no issues with the remaining holiday in spite no information about the resort we found the bigger quieter pool beyond the aqua park, we never found the adult one unless this was the restaurant mango one? Food was good my partner loved the desserts. This is a very basic resort & it's a shame that some rooms are not fit to stay in on a basic level, this wasn't isolated to just us we heard this numerous times room transfers from UK speaking guests. Would I revisit or recommend.. no.

Budget friendly
I think the overall rating of 3 is reasonable for this hotel. Firstly, this is a French hotel which was a great test of my GCSE level expertise! But seriously signage, announcements, entertainment are all in French. Having said, all the staff I encountered are great English speakers. Don't arrive before 3pm! Your room will not be ready. You will have to wait, which if you've been traveling for hours, in the same clothes, hoping to sleep, not going to happen. The rooms are small, basic but have all the necessary things. The air con is not strong, so you need to close all the curtains and leave it running constantly on high volume to get some relief. Wet towels on the bed also help with the heat. There is no place to wash your bum and no sink in the bathroom. TV worked fine. No locks on the bathroom doors, privacy is a bit limited. Our riad was close to the pools and dining area, but there was 2 flights of stairs to go up. Be in good shape for that! Random stray dog on day 2. The food was good, I felt there was a good variety, a mix of traditional Moroccan cuisine and European, although the food was quite bland (I think a lot of hotels do that to try and please the masses) the desserts were delicious, and there are 4 meal times a day, with an open buffet. Get therr early otherwise you won't find a table, glasses would have run out. The best place to sit is near the desserts as the air con is cooler and less flies. Don't sit near the door or in the main entry, you will be attacked by swarms of flies and birds. The swimming pools were great. Clean, quite warm, pleasant and fun. I enjoyed watching the water dance aerobics, although I didn't really join in. I didn't take part much in the evening entertainment, but I watched some of the dancing and singers, they seemed good. The place is generally very clean, staff are constantly cleaning. The room cleaning is of a very good standard. Large bottle of water is provided each day with clean glasses. You can also get more water from reception. Hair dryer, towels and soap provided in the room. The fridge smelt bad and didn't seem to be working. Lots of storage space in the room. Small clean balcony for sitting outside the room. WiFi is not very strong. ATM in reception area. There is also a large office where you can book excursions. We used the shuttle bus service to go into Marrakech. There is no air con is vast amounts of the hotel and in July it is very hot. I really feel sorry for the staff working in that heat. Bring your own fans. Certainly not a luxury hotel, but as a budget friendly hotel, I think you can have a pleasant stay here, although I would not advise the summer months, given the heat, or for staying longer than 1 week.

Positive about the hotel are the hrd working staff they deserve a pay increase!!! They all work hard, are friendly and helpful. Cleaners came each day great job and always left water. Bar staff working under extreme heat with not only flies but wasps , bees they need better protection . Animation team talented but in French so hard to fit in if Scottish but this is down to who you employ to help all feel welcome. Food basic but ok nothing special, did feel that it was to hot to wait outside for pizza in tht heat and mayne it should be somewhere with air conditioning. You guys have major issue with flies on food and bird diving down , I was almost hit many time and bird droings on our table . This i feel is a major issue and need to be addressed. The main area had football on all the time and was the only place we could get WiFi since we couldn't in block 4. So we had to sit here to get any messages. The room old, dirty , full of flies everywhere! There is basically no air conditioning it was bellow basic facilities. Out door toilets stink , they just smell of pee nd poo and in the heat 🥵 worse the smell disgusting Water park for kids yet nowhere to get a drink to stay hydrated, when I pay for all-inclusive I expect this to be part of a areas, I understand the adult pool is different, but with small children it is a joke .. This section is beautifully with a top quality garden area but we stayed less than 15 min as my son was thirsty so what is the point if you dont provide this facility that should be part of the overall experience. ??? We went with an open mind and came back with staff amazing, lovely maintained resort, shop pointless honestly it was rubbish. Pace needs to sort out bird and flies in min dinning area. Our room was basic 😕 so outdated shower leaked all the time, And out lights kept switching off s the main box had flipped. One of the cleaning ladies showed us how to sort it . Also need to mention the horrible guest who so aggressive to a stag member in the 1st of June he scared my son, he was really nasty to the staff nd they did not deserve the treatment . All in all we wouldn't go back it was. Budget holiday but 45 degrees even t night to hot .

Outstanding service from Hichman guest relations manager -turned our stay completely We originally checked in at the Valeria Dar Atlas, but unfortunately encountered issues with the air-conditioning and the quality of the food during our stay. We approached Hichman for assistance-and he could not of been more helpful. He listened carefully to our concerns, took immediate action, and arranged for use to transferred to the sister hotel. We are absolutely delighted with the change and have been extremely happy here ever since. What impressed us most was that Hichman visited daily to check that everything was going and if we needed anything else. He is incredible approachable genuinely caring, and a true credit to the hotel- his attitude and dedication are a inspiration to the whole team. We are so grateful for is support and would highly recommend him and this hotel to anyone visiting Marrakech. I really wish your success for the future Kind regards Mark and Susan Tunstall

What an experience
Well… Firstly, I would like to recognise the hotel staff, who were exceptional throughout our stay. They were always friendly, professional, and willing to help, and they are undoubtedly the hotel's greatest asset. Unfortunately, beyond the excellent service, our experience was disappointing. When researching the hotel before booking, it advertised an adults-only pool, which was one of the reasons we chose this resort. While this facility does exist, the hotel fails to make it clear that access comes with additional costs. Guests are required to pay for food, drinks, and even the sunbeds if they wish to use this area, which was both misleading and disappointing. The main pool areas were consistently overcrowded with families and children, which is understandable for a family resort. However, securing a sunbed was almost impossible due to the number of guests reserving them early each morning. This became a daily frustration. The hotel also promotes access to a water park as part of the all-inclusive package. However, what is not clearly communicated is that food and drinks within the water park are not included and are instead charged to your room. This was another unexpected expense that should be made much clearer to guests before they arrive. The bars close at 11:00 pm, which is reasonable. However, as the World Cup was taking place during our stay, it would have been a thoughtful gesture to extend the all-inclusive service for guests watching the matches. Instead, drinks became chargeable after 11:00 pm. While there is a nightclub available for those wishing to continue their evening, drinks there also incur an additional charge. The food was, without question, the most disappointing aspect of our holiday. I was not expecting Michelin-star quality, but I did expect a reasonable level of variety. Unfortunately, the menu remained virtually unchanged each day, making meals repetitive after only a few days. I also felt the restaurant staff were overstretched. They worked incredibly hard but simply did not have enough time to clear tables and maintain the dining areas during busy breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. Increasing staffing levels during peak periods would significantly improve the guest experience. The biggest concern, however, was the number of flies in the dining areas. This was a significant hygiene issue that the hotel urgently needs to address. Flies were constantly surrounding the food, particularly the bread, where they would gather in large numbers. After witnessing this on our first day, I chose not to eat any of the bread for the remainder of the holiday. It was an unpleasant experience and certainly not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. Overall, this hotel may appeal to travellers looking for a more budget-friendly holiday. However, prospective guests should carefully consider the numerous additional charges that are not made obvious when booking, as they can significantly increase the overall cost of the stay. Sadly, despite the outstanding efforts of the staff, I left feeling disappointed. In my opinion, the overall standard of the hotel does not reflect its current four-star rating. With greater transparency regarding additional costs, improvements to the dining experience, and better management of the facilities, it could offer a much more enjoyable experience for future guests.

It is ok for cheap holiday.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, although they are starting to look dated. The cleaning staff were always polite and did a great job keeping everything tidy. The pool area was lovely and never felt overcrowded. The aqua park was enjoyable, but there were only three working inflatable rings available for the slides that required them. Unfortunately, this meant we had to compete to get one, as some children and, selfish adults kept hold of the rings instead of sharing them. When this was raised with the lifeguard, we were told it wasn’t their responsibility to make people share, which may be true, but it did make the experience frustrating, one life guard may have also been asleep the whole time he was there, completely useless. Some of the staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful, while others came across as quite rude. One thing I found disappointing was that guests were identified by different coloured wristbands depending on their nationality – for example, British guests wore purple and French guests wore blue. On a few occasions, French guests were being served before us, even though we had been waiting longer. We had to speak up to make staff aware that we were next in line. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible holiday, and there were some positives, but it wasn’t somewhere I would choose to return to.

Hotel Tax- we paid £60 for 2 people for the 14 days. If you want pool towels, You have to pay a deposit of 100 dirham which you will get back is around £8 (Bring your own). Also when you go for your towels they’re not helpful at all. We went to change our towels in the morning and were told to come back at 6pm. We did and were told to come back in the morning. After a few harsh, but fair words we got them changed. The safe rental in your room is 10 dirham per day. There’s a Tv, small fridge and a hairdryer in your room. No iron or Kettle. We only had 3 plug sockets in our room but brought an extension, with 4 sockets on it. There are a lot of mosquitoes, so if you get bitten best to bring some spray and a Zapper. Rooms are large but a bit outdated. No bath, just a shower. They do provide soap in a dispenser in the bathroom. There is only 6 coat hangers on the rail, but plenty of drawers and shelves to put clothes. Cleaners come every day. You won’t go hungry, food served in different areas from 7.30am to 11pm. Lots of different choices each day. You wouldn’t go hungry. Then at an extra cost you can get food from 11pm to 1am. All inclusive drinks start at 10am and finish at 11pm. They have a large, gin, vodka, whisky, red- white-rose wine and do about 7 cocktails. You have to pay for Baileys, Bacardi, Martini , Champagne, Etc. There’s a kids club . The entertainment team at night are more focused on French tourists than English, as they say everything in French and don’t repeat what they said in any other language. But about 70% of people did speak French. They did a British Pub night and a pool party.Once again, most of it was in French, a couple of English songs. The only thing British was The Union Jack flags that they put up. Make sure you go to the bar for a soft or alcoholic drink before you go to eat, as you don’t get anyone asking you if you want anything. The staff were very busy clearing the tables, for other people to sit down. Unfortunately my husband got bad tooth ache and we went to reception to see if the could recommend a dentist. We were told to see the nurse on site. We went to see her and she couldn’t help us. We ended up looking on the internet and finding one , got a taxi there and he waited to bring us back(400 dirham) The aqua park is great. There is another pool in the park and food huts. These are an extra cost if you want anything from there to eat or drink. There’s also an adult only pool, again at an extra cost. We booked to go into and return from Marrakesh with the tour operator in a room on the left of reception. Only 80 dirham for the two of us. There are no inside communal toilets, only two outside next to different pools.

Great hotel, Poor entertainment.
We stayed here last week, it was a great hotel. The pools were lovely, and had regular activities that people could get involved in, we particularly enjoyed the foam party in the pool on the afternoon, it was great fun. The main pool had lively music throughout the day which created a fun atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and we didn’t have a problem with any of them in terms of their understanding of English. There was a shuttle bus from the hotel into Marrakech and back for just 20 dirhams which ran every 2 hours and was easy to book at the excursions desk. The hotel was clean, we had no issues with cleanliness. Yes, there were lots of birds and wasps around the food areas – but this is Africa, so to be expected. If you are going to have issues with this we suggest booking a less exotic country. The food was our main worry however it was lovely, lots of variety. I’m a really fussy eater so was pleased to find that there were burgers, chicken nuggets, and pizzas available throughout the day. I didn’t struggle at all, I’m not keen on veg but there was always plenty of meats available. The eggs on a morning were lovely and are cooked in front of you on request, to your own liking e.g., fried or omelette. Also, always plenty of hard boiled eggs to go at as well. There was a good selection of cocktails available on the all-inclusive menu, however, the only let down with these was that they weren’t served at the pool bar, we would have to walk an extra minute or so round the corner from the pool to get these. The main let down with this place, as others have said, were the entertainment team. All of the entertainment was in French and did not cater for the English at all, and to be fair, it didn’t look very good anyway. There was a Queen tribute act one night and it turned out to be the entertainment team dressed up and miming to the songs – a huge let down. We'd have loved to see some professional singers, musicians, or local performers brought in during the week. We booked a few trips while we were there, however, we’d strongly recommend using getyourguide to book these, as they cost a lot more when booked through the hotel, for example, the hot air balloon trip was £50 each, and in the hotel was £150 each! We enjoyed the Agafay desert trip, riding quad bikes and camels in the desert and having dinner with a show, we also enjoyed the trip into the Atlas mountains, a day in Marrakech via the shuttle bus, and a hot air balloon trip. The hot air ballon trip was amazing and we’d strongly recommend doing this while you are here. A final tip: If you give the bar staff a tip, they remember you and give you your drinks in larger glasses!

A Pleasant Surprise – Highly Recommended Despite Mixed Reviews 5/5 Stars
A Pleasant Surprise – Highly Recommended Despite Mixed Reviews 5/5 Stars We stayed at Club Marmara Madina (Valeria Madina Club Resort) in June 2026 and had a really enjoyable time. After reading quite a few negative reviews online, I was a bit nervous, but we found the hotel very pleasant and genuinely nice overall. The room was clean and comfortable with no issues at all — we’ve had two fantastic, quiet nights of sleep so far, which is exactly what we needed. The food has been consistently good with plenty of variety and no complaints from us. Service is efficient too; we’ve always been served promptly with no problems. The grounds are lovely, and there are plenty of sunbeds available. Yes, there are a lot of French guests and most of the entertainment is in French, but it hasn’t been an issue for us at all. It’s all good vibes and we’ve felt very welcome. If you’re looking for a relaxing all-inclusive stay with nice pools, good food, and friendly service, I’d definitely recommend this resort. We’re really enjoying it!

Do not stay here…
We got home from this hotel yesterday and honestly happy to be home. We originally booked the Valeria Atlas next door, but were moved to the Medina as there was a bird in our room and it was vile. Upon arrival we were happy to see that the room at the Valeria Medina was nicer. However this positive change did not last long. The food here is simply not good. If you have allergies, dietary requirements, have children, or are a picky eater do not come here. Food is covered in flies and restaurant is full of birds who pick at the food. Breakfast consisted of hard boiled eggs and plain croissants. Lunch was the better meal by far. And dinner was always disappointing, often only serving 5/6 different dishes (majority were types of tagine). I understand that it’s traditional Moroccan food, but not well rounded food. Chicken nuggets were simply hollow in the middle, burgers red inside, and chips so oily it came out when squeezed. Apart from this, the desserts at the restaurant were great every day. We both suffered with upset stomach throughout the holiday. At the snack bar (which only served pizza), you were limited to 2 slices of pizza per person. When asking for 3, was told, “non, deux.” This doesn’t seem very all inclusive? (These slices were 1 small pizza cut into 8.) Drinks were okay, alcohol wasn’t nice but that’s what you expect from an all inclusive! Absolutely no sugar free soft drinks available, I am type ONE diabetic so try and avoid full sugar drinks as it makes me unwell, and I only drank water throughout the majority of the stay. However, we were limited to one litre bottle per room, per day. Bear in mind that it was 40°c and there were 2 of us. When we asked for another bottle we were told no, we even said we’d pay and were told no. After an argument with the man at reception, he reluctantly gave it to us. If you do come here, bring a refillable bottle. The rooms were simply not nice. The floor in the room was so dirty that my feet were black after walking from the bathroom to the bed. TV in the room didn’t work. Hand soap and body wash in the bathroom were empty. The shower pressure was so terrible that if you turned the shower head upside down it didn’t come out. Our room was seriously infested with ants, they were on the floor, the windows, and even in the bed. This was probably due to all of the open holes and cracks in the walls as well as the sliding door which didn’t shut properly. The front door also had a huge gap under it. Walls, the bathroom, shower, and plug sockets were all covered in mould. Alongside the skirting board was also large spores of black mould. The room did not have a do not disturb hanger for the door- so if you like to sleep in on holiday expect to be woken up by the cleaners letting themselves in. Receptionists were all hostile throughout the stay. They do not care if you have issues, enquiries or are asking a simple question. I asked one man if it was possible for him to break down a 200 dirham note into smaller money, to which he said “You can’t read? It shut at 4”. A “no” would have sufficed. On our first day, we were speaking to a receptionist as we were getting our key and wristbands. Being English, the receptionists began to speak to eachother in French, talking badly about myself and my partner, calling us picky, needy and annoying. Although English, I speak French! I did not confront the receptionists as was simply intimidated by the 4 men behind the desk. Furthermore, each guest was branded by the country they’re from with a different colour all inclusive wristband. English had purple, French had blue etc. Some may argue this is for language purposes, however I would argue differently. People from France were more often than not more acknowledged by staff, and served first at bars and the restaurant. Many other English people at the hotel agreed this was the case. The sports bar staff didn’t seem to want to serve anyone in their bar! After 11pm food was available but at a cost, which is fine, if they let you order! Tried to order some food to be told “no, we don’t have”, to then see some people after us having their order of the same items taken and accepted. We stood at the bar for 10 minutes and left eventually as we were ignored completely by both staff. 2 out of the 6 water slides were switched on during our week long stay. Lifeguards closed the water slides early and then swam together in the pool instead. The security guard outside the slides was often asleep. At the quiet pool, lifeguards stood in bushes and smoked, completely out of sight of the pool. Plates, food, and glasses were scattered around the hotel floors, same plates were still there coming back from dinner, then midday the day after. Housekeeping staff, ladies in the restaurant and the man who conducted the evening entertainment were all lovely. The pools were cool but not freezing, they were nice temperature. The pools were both large and relatively well maintained. It was nice to have one pool with activities and one calm pool, although they were 10 minutes walk away from each other. Although at the pool we did hear the same Bruno Mars song about 30 times in the 2 hours we were there. I would absolutely not recommend either of the Valeria Hotels to anybody. If you’re happy with a dirty room, a pool, food that upsets your stomach, and drinks that taste like hand sanitiser, then this is the hotel for you.

Good holiday but the staff were not great
The hotel chain has been going for 20 years and I don't think the hotel has been done up in that time. The room had cracks in both the shower tray and sink, the air conditioning thermostat knob was broken as well as lots of scuff marks and edging of doors coming away. The grounds were immaculate and the cleaners were brilliant. The rest of the hotel staff couldn't cope as they seemed short staffed. No glasses on numerous occasions so we had to wait for the drinks. On our first night we had 6 different types of glasses/beakers for a drink. Some mornings there were still glasses out around the pool left over from the night before as well as plates from the pool bar restaurant which caused problems with bees, of which there were plenty and made worse because of the lack of staff cleaning away the empties regularly. The food was ok, although the breakfast wasn't up to much for the British. Lunch and dinner was ok with something always available to eat. But the most disappointing part was the lack of drinks in the all inclusive package, the local beer was excellent though but only Gin, Whiskey and Vodka available, no Brandy, Malibu type local drink or own Bailey's unless you purchased from the premium bar. Maintenance around the complex was non existent as 8 people tripped/fell down the same hole and all that the staff did was place a pot over it. There were plenty of broken glass about which took time to be cleared up. The main pool seemed a bit greeny in colour but the small little one was perfect to cool down in. The other pool as advertised on the TUI website was paid for in both food and drink and the sunbeds which wasn't advertised by TUI to pay for. Overall a decent week away with fantastic weather. I would go back to Morrocco but not to this hotel chain.

I would not come here again, bad experience
The gardens and pool were kept clean. The entertainment staff gave good performances
I am completely disappointed in this property. I cannot believe that this hotel was suggested as a 'genius' selection. The electricity has been out on both the Friday and Saturday that we have been here, with the response 'well send someone to fix it'. In both cases, the repair either took a significant amount of time or didn't happen at all. It has also been nearly 40 degrees Celsius here and the air-conditioning unit has not been working. Not only is this not acceptable from a service point of view but also poses a health risk which was never addressed by the hotel. The advertising of the hotel also suggested an onsite waterpark. It was not made clear that the available water park was part of a different hotel that we'd need to walk to in the extreme heat. Whilst at the water park, it was clear that there was little to no care for health and safety, the tubogan slide didn't have enough water on it and we saw someone friction burn a lot of skin off of their back to the point that it was bleeding. I personally hit my ankle on the floor of the pool after coming off of a slide and currently have a large bruise and swelling on my heel, I'm not sure how this injury will present further with time. The 'all inclusive' aspect of the hotel comes with an enormous list of restrictions. Throughout the day you'll need to go through long stretches where food is not available at all. Also, even though there are bars and kitchens at both pools, at one of the pools you will need to purchase the food and drink. The admin staff just do not care about your issues at all. We asked them to fix the issues with electricity and air-conditioning multiple times. Every time we went back to the room, there was something broken or not functioning. When the staff say someone is 'coming to fix it now', they mean 'we've taken your complaint onto a big list so please go away'.

Nice break, weather could’ve been better
Arrive late Thursday and was given a room in block eight which we refused and ended up in block one which was very good The room was cleaned every day and we had fresh towels and water on the table each day. We try two pools when was a quiet pool and we stayed by when the weather was a bit cloudy and on the Saturday and Sunday we was at the main pool and was very lively. Have to say entertainment around the pool was excellent, especially the Zumba but I agree with most people that you didn’t speak French you wouldn’t know what they’re saying but all you know found the entertainment team a happy lot. I was nervous when I read a few reports about the food, but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it from a breakfast of eggs on toast jam and other bits to chilli con Carne omelettes and meat and fresh bread and some really enjoyable cakes couldn’t ask for anything more Someone enjoys a beer and enjoyable overall had a pleasant day and I found it and I found the and I found the staff a pleasant bunch one or two miserable ones, but that’s everywhere in the world I gave it four stars because I enjoyed that day

The worst hotel we have stayed at.
If I could give this place a zero, I would. I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you are British, American, Canadian or Asian. The hotel only prioritise the French guests and do not care or acknowledge the other guests. We often got asked whether we were English and when we answered yes, the staff would reply "never mind" before walking away. All shows and events were in French with other foreign guests not understanding the language or being able to participate. It made people feel left out. Every British family I spoke to mentioned how they had to move rooms at least 3-4 times! One family was given a room which had other guests in twice. There was no apology from the hotel staff for this. My husband and I were given a first room (218) which has no towels, no soap, the floor was wet and the ceiling was falling apart. When we complained about this, we were moved to room 820 which was slightly better. We were told that 218 will be closed and investigated but within minutes, the room was given to another guest. 820 was a much better room however was on a second floor with no lights. At night it was dark and we could not see when walking up or down the stairs causing my husband to slip many times. Guests complained to reception but nothing was done until we complained to the general manager, Saber. The staff were rude and prioritised the French guests above all. They often made the British guests feel like trash and feel dumb. One staff in reception called Bahjia was extremely rude from the day we arrived. There was no welcome or hello from her and she would often make comments to us and then laugh amongst her colleagues. Another staff member in the dining area was rude and made a few racial/unnecessary comments to me. When asked what burger there were, he immediately replied stating "they are chicken burgers. the chicken has come from India just for you" before beginning to name Bollywood stars and speak of them negatively. We were also asked by a staff member where we were from and when we replied London, he asked us where originally. When we replied to say India, the staff member replied stating "No, you are Muslim." - I think I know my religion and beliefs. My husband and I met with the general manager, Saber, and was told we could move rooms however, I declined this offer as I had already unpacked in room 820. I asked if there was anything else that can be done and Saber was very quick to say "I will out some nice things in your room for you". When we returned to our room, we saw two t-shirts there in a size small and medium. Sadly these were too small for us. Nothing else was given for the inconvenience caused, the racial comments or the unhappy service received. After this, every time Saber would see he, he would often ignore us or would say Hello before quickly walking away. The 'Animation' Team - there were some team members who were lovely such as Ghani, and a few other men (the one who wears braces). Others such as Sofy, Mima, Axel, Ballu, and the others did not mix with the British guests and would ignore you because you were 'English'. They would only speak and mix with the French guests. Some of the team members came over to ask us for reviews and when we wrote the review for them, they changed the wordings and added their names before taking a picture and leaving. This was Sofy. The shows and events were nice but most guests felt left out as it was only in French. When asked to speak in English, they would ignore this and continue in French. There were only a few lovely staff members who were always smiling and helpful. Lati in the bar area, Amal in reception and Issam who served the mint tea every morning. You three were the best part of this hotel and our holiday. The toilet floors were left wet and slippery with no sign to mention this and many children, adults and seniors would use this area causing a few to slip. Glass was also broken daily and left for ages and unattended before someone would clean it. Glass was broken outside our room one day and it took over 45minutes to clean it. Children were walking barefoot going in and out their rooms and could have injured them. There is NO such thing as health and safety in this hotel and when speaking to the reception staff about this, they laughed. The hotel had a water park which was not that great and very dated. We often found the security man asleep outside because he must have gotten bored. If you are not a French speaker then I would not recommend visiting this hotel and staying here. See attached photos as evidence of my above comments.

Very relaxing, once we got settled, but very far from amenities.
Staff were all really pleasant and helpful, especially helping my wife who needs to walk with a cane. The hotel grounds are very calm and beautiful when you get far enough from the music blaring out. The food was reasonable. As a vegetarian, the options are limited, but I managed. The buggy rides back to our block were very welcome as it was as far away as it was possible to be.
We were packed off in an overcrowded minibus for the first night of our stay, due to work being carried out in one of the blocks. The other hotel was very nice but lacking in facilities and although they fed us, we had to pay for water! The whole palaver was undertaken with minimum information. Our friends took their kids to the mini-club for 2 sessions. The girl member of staff left on her own with the kiddies was very gloomy and obviously wanted to be somewhere else.

Not worth the hassle and money.
The pools and waterpark is good however the rooms/riads themselves are filthy.
The rooms are covered in flees, we came back from a day out and there was a bunch of flees flying everywhere alongside the room we booked was not how it was when we got there, we booked three beds one being a kings bed and got 2 singles and a rough sofa bed accompanied by a rug of a blanket. The riad itself has no wifi and the TV does not work so we had to constantly sit at reception to get internet connection.

Animations Enfant décevantes
Logement, piscines, restauration
ATTENTION!

Disappointing
Photos on TripAdvisor and Tui website were obviously taken a long time ago. The rooms were shabby and dated, the cleaners came in everyday and left a bottle of water which was appreciated but did not change the sheets once in the week we were there. There was no lighting in the accommodation block we were in the corridor from rooms 500 to 510 was in darkness and we had to use our mobiles for lights. The pools look great but the water was freezing. Too many flies about when sitting by the pool and when the poolside entertainment is taking place they crank up the speakers making it uncomfortable for those not taking part. There is only 1 restaurant, limited snacks were available in the bar outwith meal times but no ice creams or things like that available outside the restaurant, food was very repetitive and restaurant often seemed chaotic with no organisation of seating and children literally running, one even on roller skates! aound the buffet. For all inclusive the choice and availability of food and drinks was poor. There is a shuttle bus to Marrakesh which runs several times each day, this is chargeable and needs to be booked at the activity centre. Although there is step free access in the main areas all of the toilet facilities were down several steps and several of the ramps are steep and difficult to walk down with sticks, would be even more difficult trying to control a wheelchair.

Won’t return
Paid for private transfer as we only had 2,5 days and wanted to make the most of every minute. Arrived at 12 noon, asked to return to reception in 2 hours for key. During that time we had access to the restaurant. Watched someone knock a glass over at the bar and glass was left lying on the ground while kids wandered around. Flies everywhere. Returned to reception 2 hours later to be told there wasn’t a room available for us, we’d be transferred to another hotel. Taken to a hotel and left there with nobody knowing why. After 2 hours of making calls were told we’d been taken to the wrong place. Complete shambles and ruined our break.

Staff really nice, very helpful. Lots of banter with the bar staff. Entertainment team work very hard. Food was different each day, lovely salads. Place is spotlessly clean, even the toilets next to the pool! We spent most of the days at the Mango pool. Mozzie and flys are hungry so take spray!

Overall experience
Staff are very friendly and loving. They bonded well with my little girl and made her feel comfortable. She had a great time. Rooms are standard, cleaned daily and regular bottles of water given too which is good! Entertainment programme runs everyday and plenty for all. Only thing I would say that’s a negative is the lack of food options as each day is pretty much the same and all inclusive drinks are very limited too. But overall, staff made the experience for us!
