Por añadír algo a mejorar, que la habitación tuviera un banco para colocar las maletas que el tamaño de la habitación lo permitía y hace mucho más cómoda la estancia

The Ryad Watier was such a nice and artistically inviting place to stay, I didn't want to leave.

I loved everything about the Watier: the room I stayed in, the hotel itself, the lobby, the artwork, the decor, the rooftop. Everything was very tastefully decorated and well thought out. The staff was super nice and helpful too.

We had a wonderful stay, and left wanting to explore more of Morocco.

The breakfast was perfect for setting us up for the day - a delicious fusion of continental and Moroccan food. It was served on a lovely rooftop terrace with fantastic panoramic views. The location was great for exploring the medina, and after immersion in the busy-ness of the medina and the beach, the Riad was a tranquil place to return to. The staff could not have been more welcoming and hospitable, and encouraged us to treat the Riad as our home. They gave us excellent advice and recommendations for exploring and eating out.

Super accueil, Hayat et Latifah sont adorables et attentionnées comme tout le personnel. Emplacement calme et idéal en pleine médina. L'impression d'être reçu chez un ami discret.

El alma del Watier la ponen Fathija, Hayad, Jean Gabriel ( el propietario) y el resto del personal, con todos sus gestos hospitalarios y cuidadosos. Te hacen sentir en casa! La ubicación es magnífica, cerca a pie de todo. El zumo recién exprimido y las confituras de los abundantes desayunos. La magnífica biblioteca, que completa la estética de este bello Ryad. Lo recomiendo, sin dudas!!!!!

Las personas con dificultad para las escaleras, deben tener en cuenta que no hay habitaciones en planta baja.

Tout était parfait. De L’accueil en passant par les chambres, le petit déjeuner, la propreté, le wifi, la situation sans oublier tous les conseils de visites de restaurant, de boutiques pour les épices.

Outstanding historic and well managed Ryad in Medina of Essaouira

I‘ve now stayed 4th time at Ryad Watier, my favorite place in Essaouira. It‘s the combination of the stunning building which has been tasteful renovated (an abandoned former school), the location in the Medina close to the sea, the breakfast which is every day a highlight or simply the personell: the all female crew managed by Hayat knows very well what they are doing and nothing beats uber friendly and helpful receptionist Fatiha. For me, Ryad Watier is more than a hotel where you stay a couple days and then leave. It‘s home and you are part of the family and always happily return! See you next time!

Werkelijk alles!! Wat was dit goed, leuk, lekker, prachtig en fantastisch!!!

Niets. Het ontbijt was voor ons zelfs te overvloedig. We hebben gevraagd om iets minder te serveren. En ook dat ging direct helemaal goed. Niets dan lof voor deze Ryad en zijn werkneemsters!

Parfait séjour dans un endroit magnifique, idéalement situé avec un personnel chaleureux !

L'endroit est magnifique, le petit déjeuner est très bon et le rooftop agréable, mais c'est surtout l'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel adorable avec les enfants notamment qui nous les ont même gardés pendant que nous profitions du spa ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Very clean and comfortable rooms and property. Located right in the Medina. Staff are awesome! They are always willing to help, including suggestions for things to do, places to eats etc. Highly recommend!

Everything! Beautiful house with so much care and attention to detail. It smelled good everywhere too! Staff are really kind and attentive.

Very minor - no elevators (yet) so may be hard if you have plenty of luggage but the staff help you carry them so it’s really not a problem.

A magical place with beautiful art and a library. The ladies who run it are simply wonderful. It’s not a full service five star, but that’s what makes it so special. It’s unique and doesn’t try to be everything to everyone

We werden heel warm ontvangen door de gastvrouw, die enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam is. Ze neemt de tijd om je welkom te heten en zorgt ervoor dat je je meteen thuis voelt. De riad is prachtig, de kamers zijn ruim, zeer proper en voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. Ondanks de centrale ligging midden in de medina is het er verrassend rustig, zowel overdag als ’s avonds. Je hoort nauwelijks iets van de drukte buiten. Nog voor onze aankomst nam de gastvrouw contact met ons op om onze aankomst te regelen. Bij het inchecken kregen we een handige kaart met leuke bezienswaardigheden, restaurants en tips voor Essaouira. Op al onze vragen gaf ze met veel plezier uitleg en wees ze ons de weg. Doordat ze meerdere talen spreekt, verloopt de communicatie heel vlot. Ook het ontbijt verdient een compliment. Het wordt geserveerd in een gezellige ruimte op het dakterras, is verzorgd en lekker. Het hele personeel is vriendelijk en de riad is overal kraaknet. Een absolute aanrader voor wie Essaouira bezoekt. Wij zouden hier zonder twijfel opnieuw verblijven.

Wonderful Riad , very attractive and individually decorated rooms and a great group of long term staff who are very welcoming and knowledgable . Nothing is too much trouble for them . There’s a lovely plentiful breakfast served to you daily on the roof. Either inside or outside . Very comfy communal areas both inside and outside . It’s the second time I’ve visited in 2 years. Essouira is a small place and the Riad is well located and easy to walk everywhere nearby and further afield. I travelled there by taxi from Marrakesh both times and in total I’ve probably stayed 4 weeks over 2 visits.

Our stay at this lovely riad in Essaouira was truly memorable . Nestled in the heart of the medina ,it felt like a hidden gem-quiet ,serene and full of charm . The interior was beautifully designed ,blending traditional Moroccon details with comfort . What made the experience even more special were the wonderful ladies ,who were warm and utterly charming . The peaceful energy of the riad made it the perfect retreat after exploring the vibrant streets of the medina. A real treasure .

Ryad Watier is a beautiful place with, warming welcome and service. Breakfast was good and my room was spotless, beautiful and komfortabel. The staff was helpful with all my questions.

A hidden gem!

The staff were so welcoming and nice, the room was gorgeous and so clean! It's located right in the middle of the medina which was great and very easy to walk to the beach.

We were welcomed so warmly by the wonderful host, Fatiha! The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was amazing. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

Everything!!! The Ryad is gorgeous, the staff are amazing and so helpful, breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the location is perfect. They even did our laundry for free!!! Truely a home away from home! Would stay there over and over again! And the smell… absolutely beautiful!!! Loved it!

Un lieu de charme et une équipe de charme

Établissement de petite taille en plein cœur de la médina, décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Chambre spacieuse, calme et comfortable avec salle de bain et wc séparés ainsi que petite terrasse privative. Propreté impeccable. Petit déjeuner super. Rooftop avec vue sur la ville et la mer. Et surtout équipe exceptionnelle à la fois accueillante, sympathique, et de bon conseils, toujours souriante. Nous nous sentions comme chez nous. J’allais oublier le massage très pro et très agréable.

The women who work there, the pretty spacious and comfy clean room, the food, the location, the other guests, the markets and vendors nearby. The restaurant recommendations and also the warnings of where not to eat. The breakfast. My pigeon mumma and her baby nest outside my window. The roof top. The service. The art. The stories. I loved every single moment. Thank you so much for every welcome and care.

Établissement magnifique, calme, authentique et raffiné. Le personnel est admirable. Nous avons été reçus avec soin et attention. Le service est au top en toute discrétion et tous les conseils et bonnes adresses ont été un sans faute pour notre première à Essaouira.

Avoir réservé pour un court séjour, à peine arrivés à Marrakech on regrette d’en être partis…

Absolument tout ! Le petit soin apporté à la chambre :) On sent le bien être nous envahir dès qu’on rentre dans ce lieu. Encore un grand merci à nos hôtes 🙏🏼

Exceptionnel, havre de paix au milieu de l’agitation de la Médina

Le ryad est magnifique, très propre, et décoré avec soin et raffinement. L’équipe est particulièrement bienveillante et aux petits soins. On se sent très proche des « filles de la maison » , qui sont toutes d’une grande gentillesse et toujours disponibles pour nous conseiller et nous accompagner au mieux pour un séjour réussi . Possibilité de faire hammam et massage, qui sont de grande qualité. Très bon petit déjeuner. Il règne dans ce Ryad une atmosphère tout à fait particulière , une ambiance paisible qui contraste avec l’agitation de la médina. Bons conseils pour les adresses de restaurants et autres lieux de visite. Les chambres sont très spacieuses .

Si il y avait un point négatif, le confort du lit , un peu dur à mon goût. Sinon , rien à redire !

A wonderful place and wonderful hosts

Riad Watier is an absolutely lovely place to stay. Fatiha and Hayat are wonderful hosts, so welcoming, informative, and engaging. Yuda is also quite a character. The rooms and common spaces are lovingly decorated, peaceful, and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The location is perfect, just off one of the main streets and close to the sqala. I really hope to return someday, inshallah.

The best place to enjoy the Essaouira

Fatiha and her colleagues made our stay as memorable as it could be. Apart from a great stay in clean, stylish and comfy rooms we also got transfers to places we needed, a tour and a reservation to the best restaurant in Medina. The place is fully managed by women, which adds respect and proud for this strong, wise and and outstanding girls. My best wishes and regards for this Riad! We couldn't have had a better experience in Essaouira without you, ladies!

The only thing I regret is that we've reserved only 1 night for this great place and city. Don't repeat our mistakes!

Perfekter Aufenthalt in einem schönen, ursprünglichen Riad mit 2 überaus herzlichen Gastgeberinnen

Die Seele und das Herz des Riads sind die beiden Damen Hayat und Fatiha. Sie sind extrem hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend auf eine angenehm herzliche Art, wie man es selten erlebt. Die Lage des Riad ist perfekt, zentral und doch nicht trubelig. Das Frühstück war gut und wird auf/in der wunderschön gelegenen Dachterrasse serviert. Letztere ist eingehaust mit großen, zu öffnenden Fenstern, so daß man auch bei schlechtem Wetter dort sitzen kann. Es war ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt!!

Hayat et Fatiha ont été merveilleuses avec nous et nos enfants, elles nous ont très bien accueillis et nous ont guidés dans nos visites et nos sorties, ce qui nous a permis de profiter au maximum de notre séjour à Essaouira. Un grand merci !

5/5 stars Ryad Watier was perfect. After spending more than a week in Morocco, this was the first place that truly felt like a home away from home. The staff were lovely, warm, and welcoming throughout my stay. They were the perfect hosts and made the riad feel genuinely comfortable and relaxed. The rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. It felt like real care had gone into the design, which made the whole place feel special rather than generic. I also really appreciated the fresh carafe of drinking water provided every day. Breakfast was very tasty, and the rooftop seating area was a great place to start the day. The rooftop terrace in general was wonderful, and I spent some very relaxing time there. A beautiful, peaceful place to stay in Essaouira. I would happily come back.

Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Fatiha et Hayat, je les remercie d'ailleurs pour leur disponibilité et leurs conseils avisés. Avec un petit déjeuner exceptionnel , une après midi au Hammam suivi d’un massage, le toit terrasse avec une vue sur la médina et l’océan, que demander de plus ? Tout était parfait ! Merci encore . Mattress was not the most comfortable in our room. No ACs in bedroom which was fine for us in April but can imagine it being an issue in summer.
